Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2010 11:11

GT - if on top yes Grin

babs is 2.4 and still in nappys

bebejones · 13/10/2010 11:28

We are going back to nappies! :( She can do it, she is just so so stubborn & really not cooperative at all. I know it's only been a day, but I just need to wait until she can be reasoned with. Even bribes aren't working today & she is just getting upset & resentful. Gonna wait til she is 2.6 after Christmas unless she asks IYSWIM? She is only 2.2 & I'll just have to fight on with the nappy changes. Don't want to force her. She has only just dropped her nap so by the afternoon I am fighting a losing battle. When she gets stroppy & overtired it just all goes to pot & I turn into shouty mummy & that helps no one! On the plus side she did come and ask to be changed after she pooed earlier. Baby steps!

So thank you all for putting up with my whinging. And thank you Blondes for the advice & pointers. I shall be using them, but I think I'm going to wait a bit longer. No rush!

Lol at being on top to burn off a mince pie! :o

prettybird · 13/10/2010 11:36

Thinking back in more detail, we tried with ds when he had just turned 3 and he wasn't ready (had shown no signs of wanting to beforehand). We have photos of him running round on holiday in Italy with a bar bum :)

Tried again just after Christmas when he was 4 months older and cracked it in a weekend. :)

(His later problems were different and were not related to the fact that he couldn't control it/wasn't aware. They were becasue he could control it and was resisting the urge 'cos he was too busy doing something else! Grin)

JODIEwantsanewname · 13/10/2010 12:19

Morning all.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2010 16:02

JODIE thats fab - well done - im hoping for a measley lb on friday

BEBE that is young and seems she doesnt/isnt interested so def leave it for a few months and see what happens

pt is meant to be fairly easier and not stressful (if it is, then isnt the time to pt iyswim)

b cheerios and skim 3
l tuna and phil light roll 4.5 sm banana 1 and toms 0 and bar 1 = 6.5
t low fat tuna cheesey pasta bake with veg 7

just releised i have had tuna teice today - oh well will have brain power tom!! Grin

bebejones · 13/10/2010 17:09

I love tuna but we never have it in the house coz I'm the only one who eats it!!

DD does sometimes ask for the potty, and actually 'produces' something, but it has to be on her terms! She has been doing this for ages. If I suggest it/put her on it she just screams at me & lashes out! She is such a nightmare & has some hideous tantrums! Wouldn't have her any other way though, she is fun & feisty! :o

Jodie - well done, that is fab!! Gold star! :o

DH has sprung my MIL on me this evening Angry but as punishment he has to share what I had made him for dinner! I am being virtuous & having soup whle everyone else has curry!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/10/2010 17:35

Evening all. Bought some really nice satsumas (zoomers as DC call them ) from M&S and have eaten about 45!

We all like tuna in our family except DD who does like anything that comes out of the sea. She calls herself a Nonfishatarian. Lol.

PS... Whilst I was in M&S I also bought ssssssh advent calendars plus chocs for their perpetual ones. Don't tell anyone please. And if I forget where I have hidden them , they are at the very back of the larder behind the chocolate fountain machine thingy!!

OP posts:
bebejones · 13/10/2010 19:15

Shock are satsumas in season? I haven't seen any! They are my most favourite fruit!

I looked at advent calendars but think we have decided to get DD one that you put stuff in every year. It's quite nice starting family traditions! :)

lol at you telling us where they are hidden Piste! One year my mum hid my Easter eggs so well she couldn't find them on the day & I ended up getting them at Christmas!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/10/2010 19:29

Yes zoomers are in season at M&S!
You haven't seen any because I bought every single one in Britain!!

We have perpetual calendars which we fill every year, which as you say is a lovely tradition to start, and M&S have special numbered chocolates which fit ours like they were made for it - that's part of what I got today.. Because I am A Mug for Christmas things, I bought DH a Stig one and me a Hello Kitty. Inevitably I will buy our felines one as well with catnip treats in.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2010 19:30

piste - you have a chocolate fountian? Shock Envy

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/10/2010 19:39

Yes. We really do!
Obviously I don't partake! It only comes out on high days and holidays. Last time we did the chocolate fountain was when my Japanese contingent were over. It really is great for adult ( can add spirits!) and children parties (don't add spirits! )

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/10/2010 19:47

and here I am at our last bash!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/10/2010 19:52

In the real world though, I actually looked like this

OP posts:
HecateQueenOfWitches · 13/10/2010 19:56

hiya folks.

mmm, I love satsumas.

I used to buy a bagful and eat the lot in one go. Blush probably the same calories as a couple of mars bars!

Anyway, I lost 5 pounds this week!

Bloody Hell Hectate, that really is amazing!

Just looked it up - about 25 cals in a zoomer

Murtette · 13/10/2010 20:08

DP got me my advent calendar on Dec 2nd last year so they only had cheapy ones left and I only had about 2 of the chocs as they tasted so bleurrrgh. Its probably one of the few times I've resisted the call of chocolate.

I'm thinking of getting DD a perpetual advent calendar but am worried I'll run out of inspiration as to what to put in it.

Went shopping today and bought two pairs of size 14 jeans Grin. One pair from M&S and one from Monsoon both of which are quite generous in their sizing. Both pairs are quite high waisted and its so nice not having to worry about builders bum. They're not high enough to hide my muffin top though - they'd have to come up to just under my boobs to do that!

Bebe - I can understand why you went back to nappies!

Hecate - well done on the loss. That's superb.

Jodie - well done to you too.

Blondes - I'm looking forward to all of the advice that our guru will be offering tomorrow after 2 lots of tuna!

Piste - love the name for satsumas. I'll be buying some tomorrow. I always find M&S ones are the tastiest ones around.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2010 20:42

well done hecate - make sure you add on last weeks weight loss as well so you have the right loss by your name x

bebejones · 13/10/2010 20:58

Hecate - Shock Well done!!

Piste - lmao @ that first picture!
will have to look for the numbered chocs!

We also have a chocolate fountain (a small one) and we also have a candyfloss maker! :o

JODIEwantsanewname · 14/10/2010 07:25

Well done Hecate Thats brill!

Piste PMSL, those pics are very funny!

I have exciting news! I became an aunty last night, my sister had a little Boy, she was 35 weeks (although she is sure they had her dates all wrong, long story, but she didn't find out she was pregnant until 20 weeks!) he was 6lb 0.8oz (Nearly what Hecate lost this week!) and they have called him Rafferty George. Grin
The only down side is that they are in Melboune, Australia Sad
Will have to make do with virtualy cuddles.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/10/2010 08:12

Aw. Aunty Jodie.

Skype is what you need. Plus saving to go to see them. This is our experience with family in Tokyo, although they were here until the twins were about 20 months. Skype initially though!! DD has a friend called Rafferty now known as Raffi and it suits a trendy teen too !

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/10/2010 08:15
