Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

No Bebe, am still a Friday! I was thinking about changing back because I was getting a bit overexcited on a weekend after my weigh in, but I am being more careful now.

Poor small Trimmer, I hate being sick. Sad hope hes better soon.

Good going Bebe! We are fine for family although do most online, very soon we have to post to Japan, it's usually the first day in December! The presents I find hard are the ones for Scout/ Guide leaders who are all volunteers, we like to get them something nice, also my lovely cleaner, teachers at school ( although this is very different at senior school and we tend to do iTunes card in a Christmas card for the Form Tutor only ) and those sorts of people!

I am quite smug because I have done all prep/ pre prep school children Christmas cards, all written and are now making their way round being signed. On another thread I am searching for dairy free chocolate coins, but can't find any on the high street. Sigh. Shall have to buy online. There's a gap in the Market there!

Ah but Trimmer he would have been sick in your car then Grin, Seriously though, I hope he is feeling better now (Also lke having 'you' back Wink)

bebe DS1 was a nightmare at feeding and would graze all day, it all stopped when he syopped snacking, hope it works for P, sounds like it is already

Piste Can't believe how organised you are! I have got most of the pressies, but going to the Christmas market in Birmingham on Sunday, so will get the rest then I think.

I'm off out to a meeting tonight so am eating early, I hope tht doesn't mean I get hungry when I get home at bout 10.30 Hmm
I have had a bowl of Oats so simple for breakfast
3 x ryvita and spread and an apple for lunch and cooking a Cottage pie for dinner.

I am determined to lose 2lbs this week!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2010 17:35

good luck jodie

poor trimmer your son :(

bebejones · 15/11/2010 18:59

Was bad & had a small portion of chips with some cod pieces. But I shared with DD & I didn't finish them. So not a complete disaster!

Trimmer - Your poor DS, hope he feels better, it's horrid being sick :(

I have 5 people left to buy things for but they are small things & I know what I'm getting (Only choc, wine etc) so that doesn't really count as proper present shopping! Then it's just DH...no idea! Hmm I have cards, but not written them yet, that's a weekend job!

Piste - that sounds very organised, well done! No idea on the dairy free choc coins Confused

Jodie - I didn't think she was 'snacking' on that much, but obviously made a difference today! Think I'll give her less for breakfast on weds coz they get given a snack at toddler group & it'd be unfair to deny her it when all the others are having it.
Good luck for the 2lbs! Fingers crossed!

Murtette · 15/11/2010 20:10

Due to a boiler crisis this morning and running around trying to get that working again, I forgot to weigh in this morning. I'll do so tomorrow instead. It won't be good though as I ate so much this weekend as DP took me to London for my bday. He'd put so much thought into it with champagne and chocs waiting in the room, then we ate in the restaurant which was one of those ones with a tasting menu so I ate umpteen courses and then there was a massive breakfast the next day. Oh, and my Mum had made a birthday cake for me whilst we were away so I had to have a lot some of that. I haven't bothered trying to sort out the pro points thing for all of that.

Blondes - well done for getting down to 11st 9. Its so good to get to a weight that you haven't been for a while, isn't it. Only 2 more lbs and you'll be 11 and a half stone.

Gettin - hope your DS feels better soon.

Gotta dash as dinner' ready. Sausages - yum!

Rugbylovingmum · 15/11/2010 20:37

Hi all,

I haven't had the best start to my diet Blush. Please don't kick me out. We had already decided to leave DD with my parents for the weekend and have a couple of days relaxing together but DP surprised me by booking a night in a hotel with a fantastic michelin star restaurant. It was lovely - our first weekend as a couple since DD was born just over a year ago - but I ate far too much and drank too much wine Blush. Oh well, home now and back on the diet.

Murtette - good luck for tomorrow.

Trimmer - poor DS, throwing up is rotten Sad. Hope he is better today.

Hi to everyone else. I'm off to do some xmas shopping onine as you are all making me feel very disorganised.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2010 20:56

Ruby - Course we won't kick you out - we are in this for the long haul - yes some weeks we gain :( and others we lose :)

murtette - yes 2lbs time I will be 11.7 :)

jodie how was weigh in?

Bebe. I'm so impressed that you have done mist of your Xmas shopping - and yes smaller breakie wed as agree not fair not to give snacks at a m&t if all others are having one

trimmer - carbs are more p and protein less is that right?

Didn't have a ww meal Blush

dh did fish cakes 3p plus sweet potato 2.5 and lots of veg

Still having my po mm!!!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 16/11/2010 00:27

Wasn't a ww meeting, was a work one! Weigh in will be weds for me, but thanks for the good lucks, I shall bank them and use them on weds Grin

Murtette and rugby, what fab weekends! (and fab DH's) who cares about the diet if your spendng your calories like that!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2010 07:24

good luck murtette :)

Rugbylovingmum · 16/11/2010 08:39

Morning all, I weighed myself on the new scales I bought on our way home yesterday (our old digital ones were very temperamental and I had to weigh myself a few times then pick the 'average' weight) and I am a lb heavier than I thought. I don't know if that's the effects of our weekend (Shock the difference is so small if so) or just a difference between scales. Either way this morning feels like a fresh start since I didn't really get a chance to get going last week so I am going to think of this as day 1 and I have amended the list. I feel very positive about losing the weight - I hope it lasts! I had some lovely raspberry porridge for breakfast and have made some soup for lunch.

Hope you are all having a good morning despite this horrible cold wet weather.

Rugby stick with us, we keep going and going, this thread helps us all with motivation. I'd like to shift 1/2 stone before xmas.

blondes I'll have to scan some of the ww stuff and e-mail it to you, for example 1 digestive biscuit is 2 points, but 2 digetives are 3 points.

I've got this wheel thingy and first you sort out the protein, then carbs, total fat then fibre.

Cheddar cheese has gone up to 5 for 40g, but proteins seem to have stayed the same.

I am wondering if ww changed their system because the old one was so well known loads of people do it without going to meetings Hmm

Thanks all for thinking of my ds, he is home from school again they have 24 hours exclusion after sickness. He seems to be keeping down a piece of toast this morning, so all OK. Will be OK by tomorrow, he is doing a performance at school tomorrow, singing world war 2 songs. He's been practising run rabbit run and white cliff of dover!

bebejones · 16/11/2010 13:23

Trimmer - glad DS is feeling better :)

Points sound so confusing to me! (It doesn't take much!)

Have been ever so angelic (so far today!)

LF yoghurt & OJ for brekkie
Ryvita x2 with extra light philly & chutney for lunch & about to get an apple
Got BNS soup for dinner with a small bread roll.

I have made a coconut cake, so will probably have a small piece of that after dinner. But what I've had so far comes in under 1000 cals!! Shock So I think I can 'afford' some cake! :o

GettinTrimmer · 16/11/2010 13:42

remind me bebe, are you aiming for 10 stone now?

yum at your coconut cake, I once made one with Fresh coconut (Delia recipe) and dh has been wanting another one every since, it was superb but very calorific with all the mascarpone icing.

Dh went to doctor last night btw, doc thinks he has a trapped nerve, that explains why he can hardly walk!

bebejones · 16/11/2010 14:22

I am half heartedly aiming for 10stone. It would be amazing!! But I'm trying not to beat myself up too much Hmm My ultimate aim was to get to a healthy BMI and I've done that in under a year from being 'obese', so trying to think of anything less as a bonus! :o

This cake might be a bit calorific, it does have coconut cream in it & coconut buttercream icing!

Your poor DH :( has doc sent him to physio, can really help with trapped nerves. I'm thinking that might be the next step for me. 3 weeks of Diclofenac and my hip is still really painful! Worse in the cold!! (I sound like I'm 88 not 28 don't I?! Confused)

GettinTrimmer · 16/11/2010 14:38

ooh, are you on any painkillers Bebe? I assume Diclofenac is an anti-inflammatory. I hope it sorts out for you...has the doctor suggested anything you could do to relieve the pain at home?

Dh has been given some exercises by the doc, he thinks they've helped him a little.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2010 14:48

ruby - dont give up and least you had a fab foody weekend

bebe - Diclofenac is fab, i use for my knee and dh uses for his back - again you have done so well t0 lose so much weight this year

trimmer - yes please, im entrigued and yes im one of those people - i refuse to pay £5 a week to be weighed lol

marmite toast for breakie
jacket and tuna and salad for lunch

not sure bout tea

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2010 14:48

bad news about my ankle - had 4 week check today and have torn a tendon so will take longer to mend and still no gym :(

bebejones · 16/11/2010 14:57

Diclofenac is a anti-inflammatory painkiller. Don't think it's done much for the pain tbh. I had some when I had my golfers elbow a while back & it really helped then, but has done not alot for my hip! Finished the course now so will ring GP 2moro & see what he suggests!

Blondes - You have reminded me I really must buy tuna, I love tuna but DH & DD won't eat it!!

bebejones · 16/11/2010 14:59

Blondes - Oh no!!!! :( Poor you! What happens now?

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2010 17:52

nothing they can do - just wait - will heal eventually :(

still swollen and aches often - so no gym and typical i did this when sober Grin

tuna ia lovely mixed with mayo/cheese/guaamole (sp)

often bung a tin of tuna into fish pie

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2010 17:53

'perchs dainty on bench of shame'

found mb home made honeycombe ice cream in freezer .......

had a small bowl full (can squeeze it into my points)

bebejones · 16/11/2010 18:44

That sounds really yummy!! Definitely worth it with your poorly ankle!

Have resolved to buy tuna next time I do a big shop! :o Yum!

GettinTrimmer · 16/11/2010 19:10

Sorry about your foot Blondes Sad

I once broke my wrist when drunk but dislocated my elbow when sober.

Bebe hope they can refer you to physio hope the doc can help tomorrow.

I must say Blondes, this propoints business is filling me up a treat, remains to be seen if I lose weight on Friday, I don't feel very motivated with exercise atm.

I just read on the literature that even though fruit is free, be careful not to over stuff "as it does contain calories." Today I've had:

Large boiled egg 1 1/2 slices of toast

Roasted free veg with spray oil, 40g feta cheese, medium portion of pasta

100g half of jacket potato, 1/2 filet of salmon, low fat mayo and free salad.
Rhubarb yogurt

2 bananas and grapes

I have pointed this at 29.

prettybird · 16/11/2010 19:42

Sorry about your foot Blondes. Make sure once it is better that yuo do plenty of balance work on it, to help re-build its supporting muscles so that you don't are less likely to go over on it again.

I've sprained my right ankle numerous times and the couple of physions I've seen over the years (for that and the achilles tendon that gives me problems) have explained it is because the tendons are now stretched and not so strong - so if you start to go over, they can't "catch" the ankle to prevent the sprain. They gave me balacing exercises to do which I did religiously Hmm Interestingly, since I've started to do Pilates and do the various balancing exercises in the class, I haven't gone over on it as often.

My period "in the zone" is continuing :) I just wish it would be reflected in the scales :( (Yes, I know I've lost 2 pounds each of the last 2 weeks, but given how little I've been eating, in days gone by I'd have lost far more).

I'm projected to finish today with 440 calories "spare" (that's assuming that we finish the bottle of wine between the two of us). I've been very active, hence lots of "exercise" calories to add to my daily allowance (actual calories eaten is projected to be 1600): cycling ds to school, a couple of very brisk 20 minute walks to the shops/cubs, Level 2 of the Shred and over an hour's gardening :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2010 20:54

Trimmer. I make that 18 on old ww - can't beleive 10p on new Hmm

what were the exercises you did?

I had a ww meal 3.5p and will have beef monster munch

bebe. Hope leg/hip feel better soon
