Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Blondes - sorry your ankle still isn't right, that must be over a month now? And Bebe too, hope you get sorted as well.

From an outsiders point of view, I don't understand why WW have changed their points system, as it seemed to be working as it was. It seems confusing!

Wow Pretty you are deep in the zone! I bow to you Grin
Waves to all.

Piste - It's more complicated, and goes on the amount of fibre etc not just on calories and sat fat. I think they changed it also because their diet was so well known and simple it could be reproduced without joining

Will have to scan some new ww stuff in Blondes and e-mail it to you today, there is a sample menu you can point

Pretty - had a look at our list, you have done really well Smile Have the people around you noticed?

ikwym about weight being harder to shift these days I would have been a size 12 and stayed there based on what I do now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 13:52

yep month yesterday hence my 4week check up and thats when they found out i had torn a tendon :(

trimmer, if you can csan and send be fab, but seems they have added p for carbs, lowered for protein and made whole days p more let alone 47/9 spare points

weird

why fix what aint broke Grin

been good today as well, went to coffee am and didnt have any biscuits/cakes and just ate grapes - im really trying this week so hoping for a lb loss on friday

tho may fail tomoroow night as night nannying 5week twins

bebejones · 17/11/2010 14:29

Blondes - you are a stronger woman than me! Had a small chocolate eclair at toddlers this morning & a tiny piece of coconut cake at lunch! Blush Oops!

Making spanish chicken for dinner, so gonna write off today!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 14:36

needs must bebe, its nearly xmas, and need to shift this blubber as know i am likely to put on a few lbs on then

so best to lose now to re gain :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/11/2010 14:36

GT I imagine you are right re WW changing their points system. Companies only do things fo rcommercial gain dont they?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 14:36

but the old system works so i wouldnt go to a meeting and pay for new gumph

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/11/2010 14:44

This is my hungriest time of day. Always seem to get to have lunch now and tbh I could eat a small horse and have pudding!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/11/2010 14:46

True Blondes, for those who have learnt the points system and do it independently, nothing has actually changed, has it?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 16:19

nope nothing and certainly wouldnt make me go and pay to learn it, if anything it pisses me off

and welcome to eat woofa our small horse :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/11/2010 16:21

If your Woofa was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I probably would eat him!! Lol!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 16:23

he would fill you up - all 10.5stone of it - pure muscle barely any fat - quite a snack or 2 lol

hes at my feet chewing an old bone and in his element

prettybird · 17/11/2010 16:31

I think the new scheme encompasses what I instinctively try to do: up my protenins and fibre rich carohydrates (to keep me full) and moderation for all the rest :)

But given I have never been to Weightwatchers, I could be talking out of my (large Wink) backside! Grin

I have been extremely good today: so far have had two boiled eggs, a banana and three clementines....

....but that's only becasue the plasterers arrive unexpectedly this morning to fix the ceiling and we had to clear all the surfaces in the kitchen and vacate it, so they could seal everything up with plastic sheets to try to minimise the dirt 9I had only just finished cleaning - and was still finding wee bits I'd missed).

I'd had my breakfast of 2 boiled eggs but although we remembered to bring out the kettle. tea, coffee and milk, we forgot to bring out any food. The fruit bowl had been brought out - hence all I have to snack on is clementines or apples (and the last banana - dh was very pissed off!)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/11/2010 16:31

Bloody Nora Blondes. That's not a woofa you've got there, that's a small cow!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 16:35

lol often call him my horse Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 16:35

from a friend :)

You have a higher total of points for the day because your total is taking in to account the 5 portions of fruit that you should/could eat during the day, hence why fruit is now zero points!

I think it is better with fruit being zero but some have the points in food have gone up quite alot...ie WW frozen desserts were 3.5...Now 5!! Also WW Beef hotpot frozen meal (low points and easy for after work when I fin late) is now 7 or 8..can't quite remember!

GettinTrimmer · 17/11/2010 16:44

The thing is Blondes if we were to have a ridiculous amount of bananas per day even though they are free, don't think the weight would go.

I have a suspicion they've also changed because you could have unhealthy stuff on the old plan and still lose weight as points could be spent on anything.

GettinTrimmer · 17/11/2010 16:48

Not had a great day today, nothing too disasterous but will have to exercise it off tomorrow.

Something else, there is no mention in the literature of exercise points being limited.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 17:43

excalty, how much fruit is too much?

bebejones · 17/11/2010 18:45

Evening! I go away for an hour and it all goes bananas on here! Wink

Blondes Supernanny - I could kiss you! DD ate rice at dinner (1st time ever) with her fork!! She tried some spanish chicken sauce with a little bit of bread, but not the chicken or chorizo, but hey, small steps! So she got rewarded with a small piece of cake for dessert for being good & eating all her rice! I was amazed! Shock She didn't have her normal snacks (apart from what she had at toddlers, but she only had a yoghurt at breakfast) and I did give her a biscuit this afternoon but that's coz I knew we weren't eating til 6! So thank you so much, was the calmest evening meal we have had in months! :)

So stuffed now after dinner, but the only really bad bit was the chorizo! Tomorrow is a new day! I shall be good, although am meeting up with a friend in the morning! Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 18:56

Welcome bebe :) long may it continue

GettinTrimmer · 17/11/2010 18:57

Bebe, pleased you had a good mealtime. Yes, tomorrow is a new day, i have to be good for weigh in on Friday.

Blondes, the propoints diet is probably much of a muchness with what would have happened on old points when all's said and done. But at least I'm focused now just determined to get my weight down a bit before xmas.

Wouldn't surprise me if I haven't lost this week though, fingers crossed.

I was thinking about not going off the rails too much at christmas, just making it xmas day, boxing day and new years eve when I eat what I want.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2010 23:19

Sinned again :( went to a pamper evening and had a hand job Grin and head massage - was fab

but also had 2 cakes - prob 4 p each but isn't have tea so maybe will cancel each other out

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/11/2010 06:52

Well done Hectate! I don't do WW and it seems confusing!

Worryingly on the news a story about girls' eating behaviour ( and disorders) and links to mums' dieting. As you know this is a worry for me and DD aged 13. How are you approaching this with your DS Pretty? Or anyone else with older children who notice? We have never mentioned the D word, and friends know not to talk about it when she is there. It is difficult having family meals too.

The news story just now is actually news but it is one thing that has worried me all along.
