Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Welcome Tommy & Rugby! :)

Well done Blondes! Whoop!!

Well done Piste!

I have also sts, which is amazing considering the crap grazing I've been doing!

Still full of cold & feeling rubbish :( DD has been coughing at night for nearly a month now. Too late to get in to docs today, so if she's still bad Monday she'll have to go back. (I have to add, she is fine in herself during the day, & isn't distressed by the coughing) I'm sure they think I'm a neurotic mother!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2010 10:35

Bebe. Well dine for STD

Ruby - 4 stone seems a lot but you WILL DO IT :)

bebe has done it this year

I lost 4st 7yrs ago and kept it off for 5ish years then started to creep back on and hence why needed to lose 2.5 stone and me on this thread :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2010 10:37

Ahhhhhhh

must proof read

bloody iPhones spellcheck

sts not STD (hope u havnt one of those) Blush

prettybird · 12/11/2010 10:56

Wahaayyyyy :)
Lost another 2lbs I am celebrating with 2 brazil nuts and a clementine :)

I will admit to re-weighing myself after doing the Shred and having a shower in order to achieve that though Wink

I've noticed that my update from last week (when I got to 12st 11lb) somehow got lost in the various copy and pastings......

I am in the dog house today with dh. pHe has a bad leg, muscular dificulty and can't walk too well atm. I made an appt for him at doctors and told him the wrong time Blush

Bit worried tbh, but hopefully he's just done something at the gym. Be back in a min to tell you about ww & update

My ww weigh in weight is way higher than my scales at home Sad but without clothes I know it's nearer to 12 stone.

I will be going by my ww weight.

I still have to get my head round the new diet, it's not clear how many exercise points I can have Confused but other than that I'm sure it will work really well (finger crossed)

GettingOn · 12/11/2010 11:52

Oh just read Bebe you're feeling crap - you're supposed to feed a cold, hope you feel better soon

Blondes, how is your foot? You are getting ever more closer to fitting into your suede trousers Smile

prettybird · 12/11/2010 12:13

GettingOn: you'll need to explain to the newcomers that you're "Trimmer" on that list.

And you are GettingTrimmer :)

prettybird · 12/11/2010 20:23

Just been for a meal at one of Glasgow's top Italian restaurants (ds' belated treat for his good school report).

Resisted the temptation to have a pizza and had a tortiglioni with "their" sausage (all broken up) in red wine (very tasty :)) which ds, after he had finished his bowl of filling mistestrone, helped me finish, so I only had about half/two thirds of it. Ds had a pizza with extra salami.

Also resisted the temptation to have desert (they do a fab tiramisu Grin) and just had a double espresso. I was driving, so only had a glass and a half of wine :) Didn't let dh open a bottle of Cava when we got home (our usual Friday night tipple) so am sitting her drinking a cup of tea Hmm

Feeling very virtuous! :)

GettingOn · 12/11/2010 21:25

Piste, I forgot to ask - what was the mouse incident?

Glad you enjoyed your meal Pretty, well done to your ds. I have already used up a big proportion of my extra 49 points on a chinese takeaway!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/11/2010 08:22

What a lovely Evening Pretty- I love taking ours out for dinner to nice places, we had lots of that in Thailand.

Lummy. The Mouse Incident was one of the joyous occasions one gets by having cats. I woke up really early yesterday and normally the cats appear and say hello, but they didn't. When I went downstairs I could see why. One of them had brought a tiny mouse in and it was their new toy! The poor thing was totally rounded up but then it shot behind the desk in our playroom. Anyway, after much excitement ( on the cats' part!!) them catching it, and one of them trotting around holding it, I managed to catch it under a t shirt, fortunately at which point it played dead so I put it in our front garden.

And that was that. Then I was ready to go back to bed and it was still only 6.30 am!!!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/11/2010 08:42

Actually...... On a wet summer night, substitute the mouse for a frog, and we have a Frog Incident. Lol!!

OP posts:
bebejones · 13/11/2010 09:49

Piste - sounds like fun...for the cats!! My mum gets 'mouse incidents' on a regular basis, and also 'shrew incidents'. Hmm Mine have only ever brought in birds! Which I hate I hate the flapping! My ginger cat loves snakes & had about 4 grass snakes this year! He obviously hasn't heard that cats are supposed to be scared of snakes! :o

Pretty - meal sound yummy, well done for being virtuous! :)

I'm not sure what we are eating today Confused Probably toad in the hole for dinner, but I shall only have 2 toads & not much hole! :o

JODIEwantsanewname · 13/11/2010 10:06

Morning ladies,
I put on 0.5 lbs this week, gettig annoyed, this is the 3rd week I have put on, but hopefully this new points system will give me a kick start, it's wierd having to 're-learn' the new points, but it does make sense.

Welcome Rugbylovingmum I am a Rugby widow in the winter too, and now DS1 (4) wants to start training with his friends, so I think that starts tomorrow, but he doesn't want to take dear old mum with him, it as to be Daddy! (fine by me Grin)

Pretty your meal sounds lovely, and big pat on te back to you, I don't know if I would have shown such restraint!

Piste eugh at the cat incident, it gave me shivers just reading it, and I hate birds so bebes incidents would have freaked me out!

DH back from his bike ride, so I'll sign off now (he rolls his eyes at the MN!)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/11/2010 10:36

Am I now the only one not doing WW?!

OP posts:
prettybird · 13/11/2010 11:06

'tis OK Piste, I'm not doing WW either :)

I'm mostly calorie counting (using FF) and trying to up the protein and reduce the carbohydrates (at least the processed ones).

That said, I'll be having a lovely all butter croissant for brunch Blush - but all I've had so far today is a small glass of OJ. It's our Saturday morning treat: dh's Master of Winne study buddy brings them in with him for after their studying session :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/11/2010 11:39

you lot have been busy, i was in london yesterday with the girls and watched dirty dancing - seen before, but it is fab

was rather bad with bubbly on the train, and then crisps and humus and creamy cocktails but did try and redeam myself in maxwells and had chicken breast, mash and brocolli, while all others had burgers and chips and creamy coleslaw

getting on well done for going back to ww, sorry you weigh more :( but do you normally weigh with no clothes on at home? i weigh in jeans/t shirt as i think if i went to a class i would weigh with clothes and not stark naked

hows hubbys leg?

foot still isnt 100% better, so still no gym, been neary a month now and sooooooooooo miss the gym, plus miss the extra p for exercise, but also proves that if i diet and watch what i eat i can lose weight without exercise (take not everyone) and no still cant get into my trousers, which is my goal, so once im back to 11 stone, i may need to carry on dieting to try and lose inches iyswim

pretty sounds a lovely meal, well done for being so good

piste blood cat, poor mouse, well rescued and weirdly enough when this thread started in jan, i think i was the only one who was on ww, the rest of you were healthy eating/calories/food fucas/sw etc

bebe hope you are feeling better and toad in the hole sounds yummy

jodie sorry you gained, doesnt seem worth it for 1/2 lb - told you have a huge fart, must be trapped air Grin i cant get my head round the new system, so doing old system, i know it works so will just point fruit, and def not having 47 extra points a week, thats just asking for a gain, thats 7 extra adya roughly, so would mean i would be eating 35/36 points a day

bebejones · 13/11/2010 13:35

I'm not WW either! :)

Feeling loads better today! Now I'm up and about! Takes a while to shake off the effect of the night nurse!

Had Subway for lunch Blush but only a 6" with loads of salad no cheese or mayo. So not too bad! Was scrummy!

Got to go to Tesco in a bit & have no idea what to buy food wise. Confused DH is being about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot! Going to but some gnochi to see if DD will eat them! She's eaten nearly half of her kids sized subway sandwich which is a really big deal, she is so bad with food & a real fuss pot :(

Jodie 0.5lb is nothing at all, plenty of water will shift it!

Blondes - glad you had a nice time out! :( that your ankle is still no better!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/11/2010 14:01

glad you are feeling better bebe :)

im having pitta bread and lf humous for lunch

out at more fireworks tonight and there is a full hog roast for food - will have 2 slices and a roll = 5/6p

ankle is a lot better, can walk etc but it is still very weak and know if i go to the gym and do major exercise class's like body combat, that it will prob sprain again

Smalline · 13/11/2010 16:08

I made a mistake last week, total weight loss so far was 9.5lbs not 8.5, anyway 1lb off this weekSmile.

Glad you are feeling better now Bebe. Some super losses this week, Hectate, Murtette, prettybird, Blondes, not forgetting smokinaces tooGrin, hope I haven't forgotten anyoneBlush,

I am glad I have non WW friends < hugs them >

Night out last night, early start today = 1 Bleary Piste.

Really fancy a roasty today but don't have any ingredients except the veg. That's going to be a disappointing roast!

OP posts:
GettingOn · 14/11/2010 10:05

I am bleary eyed too but nothing as exciting as a night out, dd sick all night, and the bloody cat woke us up at 4am!

Blondes, glad you are nearly better I agree don't hurry back to the gym. Dh is hobbling around on a crutch, don't kow what he's done. Hope you enjoyed your night out.

Bebe, glad you are better

Smalline well done on your 1lb

Jodie, you and me getting back into the zone with this new propoints stuff.

this new propoints thing - I studied the list of points last night, pasta has gone up to 4 for a medium portion, rice gone up to 6, spuds 3 for a medium portion, cheese and proteins seem to have stayed the same. Brown pasta funnily enough is 4 points for a medium portion but white pasta is 3 Hmm apparently as brown pasta holds more water in the cooking process so it must expand more. So the idea is to eat more fruit and less carbs I suppose. It makes sense to me, similar to what I was doing when I was in the zone without ww.
