Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Piste - I only use the olive oil spray!

I do love a soup! :o

Thinking of trying the MN recipe of the week soup Hmm

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/11/2010 20:54

Think I may have overdone the shopping for soup making! My house is groaning with carrots, celery and even BNS!!

Think also to be professional I need a hand held blender thingy like I had when DC were weaning. I have to lug out this massive processor thing each time otherwise!

OP posts:
bebejones · 08/11/2010 20:59

I have a blender obsession! Maybe it goes hand in hand with my soup obsession?! Hmm I have 2 hand blenders & a jug type one as well. I do like the hand ones best for soup making though....SO much easier! My freezer is groaning under the strain of soup filled tupperware!

Murtette · 08/11/2010 21:43

I can't keep up with all of these posts!

2lbs off here so am back to where I was two weeks ago. I don't feel as though I'm back on track but I must have done something right! I wish I could fill the freezer with soup but its full of DD's meals as I do a lot of bulk cooking for her.

I think I'm going to enjoy WW more if I can eat fruit. I've always found it strange limiting the amount of fruit I can eat and do feel as though I eat ridiculous amounts of veg to make sure I get my 5 a day. I'm off to my WW meeting on Weds morning so will let you know what I think after that. GG - are you sure its not £2.99 per week with monthly pass? I'm sure about £19 a month goes out of my account. If you are thinking of re-joining, I know that this week is the week they're telling you all about it in the meetings so try and join this week if you can.

Despicable - BNS is delicious. One scrummy way to eat it is to chop it into chip size pieces (with the skin on if you can't be bothered to peel it) and cook it for about 15 mins at around 180 degrees (both time and temperature are very approximate) with a spray of fry light and a scattering of rosemary. Its really nice with a feta cheese salad. It is a complete PITA to chop but you can buy it ready chopped in most supermarkets. Annoyingly, our ASDA only sell it mixed with sweet potato if its ready chopped.

Hectate - sorry you've been ill.

Piste - M&S do a good range of very thin thermal vests which I tend to live in from around now until end of Feb. Some do just look like normal T-shirts and I was wearing one at the weekend under a short sleeved jumper and I really don't think anyone knew it was a vest rather than a T-shirt.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2010 21:43

i just whizz with £9.99 hand blender

Murtette · 08/11/2010 21:46

Forgot to update the list. I've updated the one from Jodie's post on Sunday which was the most recent one I could see but I may have missed one.

Just spotted that this week's MN recipe is for BNS and sweet potato soup so maybe I shouldn't moan about ASDA ready prepared veg as I can just chuck a bag of that in.

I love blondeshavemorebutternutsquash, will you have a festive name blondes? blondeshavemorefestivefun? blondeshavemorebaubles?

murtette, it said join for £2.99 on their website Hmm I think I have got the general gist of the diet, if I lose weight this week under my own steam (would be first time in ages!) I may not join just yet, as my real problem is keeping it off. I did get down to 11stone 3 and it just went on again incredibly easily.

I am off to aerobics, don't feel like it, but will feel got when it's done Smile

bebejones · 09/11/2010 11:51

I feel like death! Have finally succommed (sp?) to DDs cold! Ache all over, head feels like it's in a bubble & my throat has definitely been attacked in the night by someone armed with a razor blade! :(

Just been to Tesco & was hoping to get some ready prepared BNS/Sweet potato to make the soup, but alas they had none (obviously a rush of MNers wanting to make the recipe of the week :o) so will now have to peel & chop them myself! Also got cakes to make for toddler group, will possible have to wear a mask to stop myself sneezing into the mix! Hmm

After an amazingly brilliant day yesterday the weather here today is grey, windy & freezing :( Can't beleive just 24 hours ago we were sat on Weston pier in the sunshine!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/11/2010 14:04

poor you bebe :( sounds like flu, keep warm and rest and drink fluids like melted chocolate soup

ive made carrot and ornage soup again - im not adventorous with my soup Grin and then had 2 slices of bread and 100g grapes

unlike dh, he made a fab chicken and bacon pasta dish last night - was scrummy so i had 2 potions Blush but was low fat :)

bebejones · 09/11/2010 14:17

I had to test some of the oatie berry cake bars I made for toddler group, and have eaten more sweets than I care to think about! Purely medicinal! I need the sugar!! Wink

Had one piece of toast with marmite & oj for breakfast. Had ryvita with light philadelphia (run out of extra light) and some hm tomato chutney for lunch. Not sure the ryvita was a good idea tbh, throat is so sore! :( Am having chilli bean soup & a small hm bread roll for dinner.

Am planning on making a thai green chicken curry for dinner 2moro, hope I'm feeling better, have been looking forward to it!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/11/2010 14:43

Aw Bebe, if you don't fancy the Thai green curry tomorrow, give mega ring and I'll pop over and help!

When I read the name changes, I thought it said
Bonded Shave More Baubles. Lol!

OP posts:
bebejones · 09/11/2010 16:19

I need to think of a good festive name this year! Any suggestions gratefully received! :)

Feeling a bit perkier now, I think the chocolate has helped! Blush Have run out of paracetemol though, bad times!

Piste you are welcome over for curry at chez bebe anytime you like! :o

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/11/2010 16:35

It would be such a laugh to actually meet up now after all this time!

Celery soup was yum, am making the beany one for this evening. Am stocking up my freezer! I don't own Tupperware except some small bits for DCs lunchboxes so it has to go in freezer bags which get rather unwieldy ! Lol I am such an amateur!!
