Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Bebe, I like gettinfestive. GettinFitter is good and will remind me to keep up the running when I log on!

Jodie, 1lb is not too bad a gain, you'll work that off v soon.

Impressed at your restraint at the fireworks Blondes.

I am already sort of following the gist of the new ww diet, had toast and yogurt for breakfast then filled up on fruit, satusumas and grapes this morning. I just don't reach for carrots and cucumber as snacks - mulling over weigh in day, I might change to Friday again as if i join ww again their meeting is Friday so I can weigh in for our thread then later at ww.

GettingOn · 07/11/2010 11:43

Pretty, you've been so angelic lately sure it'll be alright

RatherBeOnThePiste · 07/11/2010 18:11

Hello All!
I can't believe the weekend is over already, well it is here because of the two and a half hours of swimming club. She starts on Sunday afternoon and finishes in the evening, well it feels like that anyway!

Have been ( reasonably ) good this weekend and have ordered everything on Bebes soup shopping list. That comes tomorrow evening. AND I have ordered BNS because you lot keep banging on about it Grin so who has a BNS recipe for Pisty?!

Am loving GettingFestive. I actually have done DDs presents and feel quite on the case. Nearer the time I won't feel
Quite so Smug!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2010 18:33

pisty - simple bns soup

dry fry or in water simmer/boil onion, add chopped bns and litre of chicken stock and leave to simmer till soft

then whizz to thickness, adding water if too thick

some add cream Shock but i dont - can add tin of toms as well if you want

RatherBeOnThePiste · 07/11/2010 18:41

Thanks Blonde One! Will try that on Tuesday.

If we are doing name changes, you could be BlondesHaveTheShiniestHalos ..... Just a thought?!

Do you likey?

Hi all :)

Oooh I'm excited to see you're trying the new WW GettinOn, I was reading about that the other day. I reckon WW have the right idea - I am not doing any diet as such but I buy so many WW supermarket products, I'm obsessed with them!! Hope it goes well.

Piste can I sheepishly ask something I have been wondering about for ages... what on earth is BNS/ BNS soup?? Confused

RatherBeOnThePiste · 07/11/2010 18:50

Butternut squash! Well at least I hope it is!!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2010 19:28

well that all depends - iad on my fb status one day that i had made bns and replies were

bad nanny soup
breakwind n smell
beef noodle soup
big nads squished Shock

add a tad of chilli as well for a kick :)

DespicableMe · 07/11/2010 19:44

Ohhhhh lol!!! Blush

Well in that case... I never had BNS in my life! Will have to try it some time Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2010 19:53

its yummy and 0 points on ww hence why i love it

HecateQueenOfWitches · 08/11/2010 06:56

hiya folks. How are you all?

no weigh in from me last week as didn't make it to WW due to needing to stay within 2 feet of a loo!

GettingOn · 08/11/2010 09:02

am changing weigh in day to Friday again, but feel in the zone, at last. Somehow just the thought that I can fill up on more fruit is giving me a boost.

Will nc to gettinfestive nearer towards the time

You would have lost weight then Hecate (at least some advantage to being ill!), have you seen ww latest diet?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2010 09:32

hecate, sorry you have been ill :( , but sure you have lost weight - think i need to be ill Grin

im still not sure of the ww new diet, still cant get my brain round to the fact fruit is free - have they changed all food points to the protein amount?

ie if i carried on as normal, but didnt include fruit would i lose weight - as then would be eating 26ish points a day, where as normally try ad stick to 20

'blondes bangs head'

GettingOn · 08/11/2010 09:44

I think I'll have to join Blondes to find out more, if pay by direct debit it's £2.99 per month and free registration.

I'm having a look at the article again later.

GettingOn · 08/11/2010 09:46

Maybe it's fruit like apples/satsumas which are really low in points anyway, bananas and avocados may still be pointed.

Perhaps what you do have would be pointed higher but high protein foods eg eggs/beans would be lower Hmm

Smalline · 08/11/2010 10:12

WW do some good plans, a couple of years ago I did the 'core' plan and lost 22lbs, basically it was a list of foods that you could eat as much of as you liked, over 3 meals a day, the list included fruit, (including bananas, & advocados) vegetables (including potatoes parsnips etc.), lean meats, fish, pasta, couscous, pulses, eggs, ryvitas as well I think, on top of that you were allowed 3 points a day for your extras. I found this worked really well with me, in fact I found that the more I ate of the core foods the more weight I lost. WW then changed the diet to something else I can't remember what they changed it too, but I basically stuck to the 'core' planSmile.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2010 10:32

ahhhhhhhhhhhh - i dont know

i know that the basic ww works, after all i lost 4stone on it 7yrs ago

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/11/2010 15:51

Is anyone else really feeling the cold?! I am sooooooo fffffrreeeeeeezing. I think because I had (ahem) quite a lot more insulation last year, I am really noticing it now.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2010 18:29

Not at the moment piste but I did the first winter after I lost weight. Was freezing :(

went to a 1st birthday party and was good. Had a huge pork of salad&trn some pitta bread&caramilsed onion humous. Was scrummy!!!!

Shared a slice of choccy cake with babs and she def had 1/2 :)

tonight I think I will have a ww meal and veg

GettingOn · 08/11/2010 18:30

I've got cold feet atm piste

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/11/2010 19:24

It's my legs, and anywhere round my ribs, and my shoulders, and my hands.
so mostly that's everywhere!

Was v chilly on my bike this morning. Cor.

OP posts:
bebejones · 08/11/2010 20:12

Piste - I am permanently freezing at the moment! MIL has bought me some slippers for my birthday so am wearing those which is helping! (I hate having things on my feet so this is a big deal for me!) But my hands and bum Blush are always cold!! Definitely to do with the lack of 'insulation'!

Have been given truck loads of chocolate & sweets today as well, so trying not to scoff them all (and failing). About to have a fish finger sandwich, promise I'll be good again 2moro! :o

DespicableMe · 08/11/2010 20:20

So I should expect to feel extra cold this winter because I lost 3 stone? Oh maaan!! Piste do you have a bicycle or motorbike? I want to get a bicycle for more exercise.

Hecate sorry you've been ill! I had a bit of a tummy upset the last few days and was secretly really happy about it Blush for the potential extra weight loss.

I was so good today, I walked up to school - one mile up a very steep hill. I do it most days but today I did it in a sleet blizzard. Also, bought some new batteries for my scales - so can weigh myself tomorrow for the first time in ages. Everything crossed!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2010 20:35

all crossed dm :)

bebe, yes you will feel the cold after losing 4.5stone and a fish finger sandwich isnt that bad on ww

im actually having chicken a la mr blondes style, with peppers and onions in a low fat chicken soup sauce ......

will tell you later if it was yummy or not

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/11/2010 20:43

I have a bicycle Despicable - I go 15 mins to work and 15 mins home every day. Today it was so gusty and wet it took rather longer! I do like it and don't actually mind bad weather, and I love smugly sailing past traffic jams!

Bebe - I am making celery soup as we speak, for tomoz. My ocado has just come so now have all my other BebeSoups ingredients! Will tell you how the celery one goes. The only fry light spray I could find is the virgin olive oil one, but I presume they are essentially the same?

PS - You should change your name to BebeSoups, just an idea?!!!

Blondes should be BlondesHaveMoreButternutSquash?!
