Have to have Green peppers in Chilli, tastes wrong to me if they are left out! I'll happily munch on peppers and dip for ages! Yummy!

Can't remember who asked about soups the other day, was it Piste?
If you like celery, celery soup is MEGA low in calories! :o

Will add myself to the list after I have weighed myself. I'm not following any plans just trying to eat sensibly, and exercise hard. The most annoying thing is that like most of you, I find it so hard to lose weight, but so easy to put it onAngry, I put on 1/2 stone during a week away at Easter, lost it with a bit more by the Summer holidays, then put 8lbs or so back on during the summer holidays and I haven't lost any weight since then, I feel like I have lost my motivation, I would really like to lose 7lbs before Christmas as I do not want next January to come and find me the same weight as I was last January, if that makes any sense.

My downfall is wine & chocolateSmile.

Am still trying to find the zone really. It was me bebe asking about soups, I need to make loads and stock my freezer. I made Hectate's carrot and ginger, and am making the two you put up the other day, just need to get some bits. I really do love celery, but can't imagine a celery soup that's not creamy? Pass the recipe on please!

So much for a new month and a new me. This week, I've been bad, bad, bad. Every day seems to have involved an excuse for cake and whilst sat on the M40 & M25 for three hours earlier, I ate all of DD's snacks (she was asleep - phew!) and then 3 of the Cadbury's mini rolls that I was supposed to be taking to the friend I was travelling too! Oops. And this was the week that I was supposed to be ultra good as next week I have to go shopping to get a posh frock to wear out for dinner on the Saturday night. I am dreading going shopping.

Welcome to the newbies. More people to kick me up the backside!

Piste - loveing the pictures! Te hee hee!

Celery soup - Soften an onion (and garlic if you have some) in a little oil/fry light. Chop Celery into small pieces and slightly soften in pan with onion. Season well, plenty of pepper! Add veg stock & simmer until celery is soft. Blitz in blender (I always think it's quite nice to have some pieces of celery left whole). Add splash of skimmed milk to make it slightly 'creamier'. (Sometimes I leave the milk out & just serve it with a little low fat creme fraiche)

Murtette - I was supposed to be good this week too & have finished the day off with more fudge...ooops! I seem to have lost my willpower!

Meant to add, on foodfocus (without the skimmed milk) it worked out at 35cals per portion (roughly) :o Which leaves plenty of calories for bread!! Wink

While I am happy to fish mushrooms out of things (my other pet hate), I can't eat anything that has been cooked with peppers in them as the bl**dy things infuse everything :(

I can however eat a salad with raw peppers in it (eg a Greek salad) as then they can easily be put to one side (dh loves them!)

Smalline: dh is the wine business, which makes it reeeeeally difficult to cut back on the wone Wink. What I try to do is to encourage him to have at least one, if not two totally wine free nights a week (never quite manage three!). If he deicdes to open a bottle, I can never resist, so it's better he doesn't even start.......

Lol at pics - bad piste!!!

Murtette , chin up chuck. I was the same last week hence my lb gain :( I just had a week of eating crap and then this week been good

sometimes we need to be bad :) to be good again lol

kwym about weight gain. I gained 7lbs in 10days of holiday and took think 10weeks to get my gain off :(

but stick with us and this time next year we all should weigh less :)

regards wine - booze doesn't bother me - I rarely drink oldies will know why Wink but when I do then I do go for it (like last weekend and 2 bottles of White)

I had a chicken and salad roll for tea

roll on weigh time tomorrow

think I will sts but be fab if I lose and devestating if I gain :(

Blondes - How is the purple foot? Any less purple/swollen? Well done on 1lb!

I am at goal....again! This maintaining malarky is bloody tricky! I sort of want to feel like I'm still trying to lose so that I'm not tempted just to stuff my face IYKWIM?! Hmm

Just had blood test which I had to take DD with me for, she was angelic & watched the whole thing! When I put her back in her carseat she said 'Mummy is your arm better now? I kiss it better!' Awww love it when she is being nice & cute! :o

Got some oaty bread flour so going to go make some bread rolls. We were supposed to be letting off fireworks at ILs tonight but think it's too wet! :(

she's so cute Bebe! Well done on our 1lb also. We seem to be giving firework night a miss, it's a shame really but ds not interested and dd is just as happy watching them out of the window.

Blondes - well done also on your 1lb. How much longer do you think your foot will be giving you trouble?

Piste - 3lb not too bad for a hol gain, will be gone in a couple of weeks.

For anyone interested I have a link to post about the new ww diet, our e-mail isn't working atm so will do it asap. Basically it looks like including more protein.

Firework night is always a big occasion for me, means my Birthday is nearly here! :o Have some very lovely childhood memories of sipping tomato soup out of polystyrene cups round a bonfire, wrapped up in scrafs, hats & gloves and getting massively over excited at the really loud fireworks! :) Shall be trying to pass this enthusiasm onto DD!

Cross fingers it is drier 2moro!

bebe - thats so sweet of dd :) and yes maintaining is hard - i did it for 5years no probs then got bad/slack and gained 2.5stone - hence i am trying to get it off again

unfortunately you will ALWAYS need to watch your weight - sad but true :( or you will be back where i am now

ankle is still sore and swollen but isnt bruised anymore so getting less sympathy lol - hospital said it would take 4 weeks to heal - been 2.5 - there is no way i can manage to jump about/kick box/arse etc yet :(

I am so Envy of people who can eat whatever they want & stay skinny. I will never be able to just eat all the 'good stuff'! Wink I could demolish a cream cake right now....or a doughnut! Hmm

Have just been a teeny bit naught at lunch. Had a piece of quiche and a ryvita with a little bit of cheese & chutney. Was only 1oz of cheese...I weighed it! Going to have an apple in bit, which I'll probably have to share with DD! Cheaty 'carbonara' for dinner, coz it's quick & at the moment I have no energy to stand in the kitchen cooking!!

Know what you mean about the exercise Blondes, I know I don't do classes etc but I miss being able to walk everywhere! Stupid hip & stupid rain!

bebe,cheese is sooooooooooo high on ww,not worth the points for me :(

gg - if you can post a link to the new ww stuff, but from what i gather that things have different points due to how long they fill you up, ie chicken breast will fill you up more than cheese

but sounds confusing (im blonde lol) so i shall stick to the old ww way - i know if i stick to my 20 a day points that i will lose weight

I cannot imagine a life without cheese! Poor Blondes! :( Christmas will be a cheese fest for me then off it for TTC (potential TTC). I think DD takes after me, she loves cheese, the stronger the better! :o

I like the mouldy cheese but not that fussed about goats cheese...although i'll eat it if it's there or in something, just wouldn't buy it!

I've got a sore lump coming up on my nose right by my eye where DD smacked into my glasses yesterday :( Really hurt at the time but has got bigger throughout the day today & is really hurting! Hoping it goes down over the weekend!

DH text to say he doesn't feel well & doesn't want dinner, so will have soup coz I'm not cooking it just for me! :(
