Piste is busily plumping up the cushions and making a space for Blondes to dump the naughty step.

Here we go! Let's see 2010 out in style my fellow Slinkies!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2010 11:11

Yes fruit cake is one a day :)

ankle is now a cankle and bruised all the way round my foot including inner step

I LOVE Reading tho mire if the trashy jackie Collins or martins cole

just hobbling off for a smear - can my life get any more undignified today

prettybird · 21/10/2010 13:15

Blondes - :( at your poor foot. I hope you are still getting a lot of TLC from the family :)

I'm still plodding on with my Shred activities - up to Day 24 now :)

I have continued to be good all week: that is now 2 weeks of eating within the calories recommendation to lose 1.5lb per week on FoodFocus (the odd day slightly over - but still under the maintenance amount - and more than balanced by the number of days under)

I hope I will be rewarded tomorrow! :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2010 15:46

Prettybird - you and me both. I've been good/within my points this week but now not doing gym I fear I will gain :(

ankle again

prettybird · 21/10/2010 15:56

Your link doesn't work Blondes ("don't have permission")

Make sure to do plenty of your own TLC for your ankle: plenty of RICE: Rest Ice Compression Elevation :) A good excuse to be waited on hand and foot Wink I agree with whoever it was who mentioned Arnica - it really does seem to help.

We're just about to go off to ds' Parents' Evening. His mid term progress report, brought home yesterday, was very good: "ds works expcetionally hard and shows a positve attitude towards his class work. He is a pleasant member of the class who contributes valuably to all aspects of school life". We told him that he couldn't get a better report than that - that statement was far more important than all the VGs he got for the individual subject areas :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2010 16:23

Excellent school report. You should be very proud :)

not sure why you can't see my link - I can

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/10/2010 17:02

Sad to say that I can't see the cankle either. Sadmaking.

Wooooohooooooo. One more sleep then warmer climes I go!!

DespicableMe · 21/10/2010 17:49

Blondes ouch your poor ankle! Hope it's getting better and you're being looked after [hwink]

I am currently nursing DH through a bout of food poisoning! Brought on by a dodgy kebab (I didn't have any - otherwise I'd be losing a few extra pounds!)

Prettybird well done - sounds like you're being very good. I'm sure you will be rewarded tomorrow [hsmile] And that's great about the school report, how lovely!

Now I'm a size 12/14 I might have got a bit carried away with clothes shopping the other day and bought some shorts to wear with tights and Uggs. DH assures me I don't look entirely ridiculous but I felt a bit self conscious on the school run.Confused Hmm

HALF TERM woop woop!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2010 18:36

Piste have a nice holiday [henvy]

dispicable - poor dh - hope he feels better soon. Kebabs are notorious for being under cooked [hsad]

yes dh is looking after me and even brought home some flowers that he grew himself

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2010 18:44

hope you can see this picture - again have previewed and I can [hgrin]

ankle

owwwwwww and 'sniff' I'm normally at the gym now :( and I'm missing it

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/10/2010 19:15

Eeeuuuuwww

What colour would you call that Blondes?

Plum
Or
Aubergine?!

Hope it's better soon!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2010 19:18

Plum I think.

Bruise is still growing so dread to think what will look like tomorrow

dh cooking spag bol for tea

weigh in tomorrow girls

'blondes knees tremble'

prettybird · 21/10/2010 19:33

Your cankle looks awful Bolndes :( Bt nice to hear you are being pampered :)

I am making butternut, sweet potato and ginger soup tonight, using homemade stock, a red onion grown in the garden. I've also made a lof of mulit-seed bread.

Feeling very virtuous :) provided I only eat one slice of bread

486 calories left for the night - to include the soup, slice of bread (no butter) and definitely probably a glass of wine, as dh's wine study buddy is dropping by with some glasses that dh needs for a tasting he is doing tomorrow and stopping for supper.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/10/2010 20:15

I love bns soup - havnt tried the Ginger version yet

must make some bread - was going to make more soup but can't be arsed so brought carrot&corriander and is 3p

there is no cream in it so where's the 3p come from as when I make it it's o points

JODIEwantsanewname · 21/10/2010 21:44

Thanks for all your kind words ladies, DH is feeling much better today after seeing 'the lads' and talking it through. Still not sure on full story yet though Sad

Have a great holiday Piste DS doesn't seem to be musical, he hates singing, although he likes playing his pretend guitar and he always wins any dance competition thats going Grin but I think thats all about enthusiasm rather than skill Wink He loves stomping up big hills and I'm sure he will love running round the great outdoors in his fatigues in the future!!

Blondes Ouch, your ankle looks sore! Hope it starts going down soon.

bebe I can smell your christmas cake from here!!! Yummy.

Despicableme toowit toowoo in your new sexy clothes!!!!! Well done you!

Pretty well done DS is his fab school report. Good luck tomorrow Grin

prettybird · 21/10/2010 21:57

Shock A whole slab of ceiling (Victorian house, plaster and lathe) has just fallen down in the kitchen Shock.

Fortunately there was no-one in there - made a hell of a bang though and there is black soot/dust everywhere - including what was left of my nice BNS soup (and on this laptop).

There has been a wee crack there for a while, which we had noticed had gotten a wee bit wider (Victorian house, twists on sahllow foundations, lots of cracks) and that we needed to get in our friendly plasterer, I had said to dh that last couple of days that it had got worse and he insisted it hadn't. To be fair though, even we had called Paul, he wouldn't have done the job yet.

bebejones · 22/10/2010 07:54

Have sts! Bit gutted as had been really good all week :( But I suppose I shouldn't beat myself up as I am at target & just being greedy! Wink

Pretty - Shock What a nightmare! We have a Victorian house too, & whilst it's lovely it's a lot of work! Will you be able to claim on insurance?

Blondes - anckle looks awful! You poor thing! :(

Have caught DDs lurgy & feel like death. Please everyone cross your fingers that it doesn't bring on an MS relapse? DH will be so cross with me coz I stopped my meds! :(

bebejones · 22/10/2010 07:55

ankle I can spell, honest! Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/10/2010 08:04

Omg pretty[hshock]

you were lucky no one got hurt (apart from bns and lappy)

hope gets fixed soon x

bebe - hope ms doesn't flare up and may be worth starting to take midication again just in the winter

well dine for sts

I'm still in bed so havnt weighed yet

it's dh birthday today so out tonight to watch fireworks (mr blondes loves fw) and then a meal at our fav resturant (where we went for our wa - think I put a link up and you all dribbles over the food)

foot now a lovely purple colour and creeping up my calf - will take another pic later to show

have a good day all

bebejones · 22/10/2010 08:59

Blondes - Happy Birthday to your DH!

Can't take meds, need 3 months off them before TTC! Really hoping it's just the bug making old symptoms flare up a bit & it'll come to nothing! Feeling a bit better already, took some cold & flu & had Jam toast in bed with DD! :) (Will be finding crumbs in there later me thinks!)

prettybird · 22/10/2010 09:20

Need to gird my loins to start the clean up job :( Dh went in and retrieved the kettle, teapot, tea caddy, mugs and milk (the important stuff Grin) so at least we've had our morning cup of tea. We've put a dust sheet at the entrance and slip on shoes that we use to walk in the kitchen and then leave on the dust sheet.

As far as we can make out, the only casualties are a bubbly glass (which was an old cloudy one anyway) and one of ds' old plastic cups.

The good news is that I have lost 2lb, so am back to 13 stone. Hopefully next week I will break the 13 stone barrier. :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/10/2010 09:36

Sts and back on Halloween.

Bebe hope you fight your bug successfully.
Blondes. When small children come to yours trick or treating - just show them your foot??!! That'll scare them.
Really though..
Hope it's better v soon

Pretty. Sorry about your collapse! Crikey vwe love these old houses but they are hard work to maintain. Glad it didn't collapse on your family.

Waves to all

Don't delete me!

Hi all Smile

bebe had a look on your profile and love that calendar - what will you put in the pockets?

Did you watch Nigella last night?

Hope you feel better soon and all OK.

jodie so sorry to hear that Sad

0.5 gain - that is not bad, will go next week.

blondes Your poor ankle Sad, but good sign the bruising is coming out. Happy Birthday to your dh Smile enjoy tonight.

pretty I love older houses so much character, but sorry to hear about the hard work this has caused today, I am not a good housekeeper as it is , so having that to do like that is a complete pain.

Well done on your loss Smile

piste have a great holiday

I bought myself a bns and would like to make a bns curry, saw Jamie make one on his cooking programme, it looked gorgeous.

Only x2 days to go until my race, I haven't been running this week, but the advice is to have a break just before a race. My dad tells me it is forecast for torrential rain, but whatever!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/10/2010 11:18

Forgot to say good luck for your run GG!
