(with thanks to Timba for title inspiration!)Grin

All welcome - this is a follow on from the September jeans thread for those who want to lose a little or a lot, but need some support to keep them going.

Am munching a Marmite rice cake as I type, and am about to force myself to go and do a Davina cardio work out, even though I would much much rather lie on my bed with a cup of tea and a book, and watch the rain outside.. Smile

Its ok to have bad stuff occasionally - we all need to enjoy life but don't carry it on!
Get back to it ladies.
Think of lovely slinky dresses for the Christmas get togethers and the photos that go with it.
Start logging all your food with websites like foodfocus. It really helps.

I have been good over the last few days but haven't done any exercise since Saturday. I'm finding it hard to fit it in but think I'm just being lazy really.

food for today
porridge
baked potato, cottage cheese, salad
fish kebabs

hmc · 10/11/2010 12:23

Hi all,

Good to see you back Timba - did you manage to get around to the jog?

Keep up the shredding fruitshoot, and keep up the running Shaxx

Ah Springlamb - so difficult to eat healthily when you feel pants. Big temptation to comfort eat.

I am still doing Davina Fit or Rosemary Conley five days a week - tried out Nell McAndrews yesterday; annoying dvd filmed in front of a Florida hotel pool with Sergeant Major type barking orders at you! But despite the exercise keep screwing up on the food - last night after an evening with 20 brownies (the girl guiding variety not the chocolately cake) swimming at the leisure centre I needed a pick me up, so I had 1/3 bottle of wine, a large bag of those delectable chilli flavour Doritos and 2 bowls of muesli! In desperation am fasting today as I have a weightwatchers weigh in tonight [eek]

Skipped the exercise DVDs this morning and did a very brisk 4.5 mile walk with my dogs ( this one in fact) - very hilly and adopted a cracking pace. Feeling super smug that the website says allows 2.5 hours and I did it in 1 hour and 18 minutes. That's about half the bag of Doritos burnt off then!

Timbachick · 10/11/2010 19:47

Hi hmc - got a mini jog in but really really need to up my game. Am taking DS to swim training tomorrow so will hit the gym and do a treadmill run gasp Grin

Food is still very difficult. But I am trying.

Thanks to everyone.

Shaxx · 10/11/2010 21:21

Oh help! I am craaaaving bad foods! I want cake and chocolate and crisps.
I have my weigh in tomorrow so I can't give in but I feel like I can't think of anything else!

I just got back from an energetic spin class.

HMC Good walk! Yum I luuuuurve doritos. How was your weigh in?

Timba. Its hard but just make sure you're eating mostly healthy stuff. Good luck.

hmc · 11/11/2010 10:25

Hope you enjoy your gym session Timba, and that you didn't give in to temptation Shaxx!

Lost 1.5lbs at WW weigh in last night - okay considering!

Shaxx · 11/11/2010 11:56

Well done hmc!
I lost 1lb at my weigh in today. I was a bit disappointed but its actually quite good considering how many extras I'd had.

Today I've had quite a few weigh in treats. I don't even know why as I didn't even fancy most of it. I'm going to stop now and get back to healthy food.

hmc · 12/11/2010 14:47

Well done on that pound Shaxx - its all good.

Shaxx · 12/11/2010 18:09

how much weight have you lost so far hmc?
I need some motivation!

swanriver · 12/11/2010 18:50

last two days emotional stress caused a sudden chocolate nemesis (ds had a scheduled leg op, he's fine, but everything was suddenly overwhelming)
today I got back on track with Kale Soup, but foolishly made some homemade cereal bars which were scrumptious!
still packing away the veggies though, and staying clear of the wine
exercise -yes, though mostly running up and downstairs after invalid Grin who is now swinging around on his crutches like Tarzan Smile
I've stopped weighing for awhile ladies!

springlamb · 15/11/2010 13:09

Well what a nasty bug! An absolutely weight waste of the past 10 days.
Better today though fear I have put on a couple of pounds with all the manuka honey I've been scoffing.
Back on track - been to the gym today and eating sensibly. Determined to keep up with my extra vitamins etc to keep bug away.
Less than 5 weeks to Mexico. Tickets arrived this morning!

hmc · 15/11/2010 20:59

Alas Shaxx - I don't think my example will be motivational. I lost around 6lbs in September only to regain it all plus 3 further pounds (I kid you not) during the first two weeks of October when I was revising hard for an exam and barely moved from my desk except to open the fridge!

However since rejoining this thread on 16th October I've lost 3 lbs, and hope to increase that significantly from now on since I've started attending weightwatchers with a friend on Wednesday evenings! I have had an unofficial weigh this morning prior to the Wednesday evening formal weigh in, and think I will be good for a couple of pounds this Weds.

How is ds recovering swanriver - hopefully properly on the mend?

Glad you are better Springlamb and back at the gym, bet you cant wait until Mexico!

hmc · 16/11/2010 20:18

How is everyone doing today?

I've managed to shred with Jillian for 20 minutes followed by 25 minutes fat burning with Rosemary Conley. My friend who joined me for this has just posted on her fb status that she has now begun to seize up!

Have been good with food, however today is the day when the mobile chip van visits the village and the dcs begged for a fish and chip dinner - talk about torture! Whilst I didn't get any for me, they smelt so delicious I pinched a sneaky handful

Shaxx · 17/11/2010 10:28

Hi. I've had a few days 'off' the diet. In other words I've hasd 3 meals out recently and just ate whatever.

Hmc what do you mean about your friend seizing up? I've done shred before and am hoping to try to get back to it this week.
I'm trying some new multi vits as I'm feeling so tired all the time that I can't motivate myself.
Well done for your exercising!

hmc · 17/11/2010 10:33

Sorry that sounded dramatic Shaxx, she just meant that she was stiff and aching all over!

hmc · 17/11/2010 10:34

My weightwatchers weigh in this evening [gibbers]

Shaxx · 17/11/2010 10:41

Lol. It did sound a bit worrying Grin
Good luck with weigh in!

hmc · 18/11/2010 18:28

3.5 lbs lost at weightwatchers weigh in last night Grin

Serendippy · 19/11/2010 13:16

Have been MIA for a while but have still been shredding and have now lost 8lb! Really pleased but still seems a mountain to climb. Not eating brilliantly which would see a faster loss and maybe keep me more motivated but can't seem to do both. hmc great news, well done! Glad to see everyone is still working hard, even with a few slip ups Grin

hmc · 19/11/2010 14:27

Long time no see - glad you popped in serendippy and losing 8lb through exercise alone is great!

swanriver · 20/11/2010 10:52

ds doing well thanks!
but I think I've stopped counting the calories in the meantime - so I may hve to bow out of this thread until life is a bit less ConfusedGrin

well done shredders!

hmc · 23/11/2010 10:11

[tumbleweed blows through the thread]

Bye Swanriver, life can get in the way sometimes can't it
