Am going to stop eating crap and lose 4 stone. Want to help me stay on the straight and narrow?

That's it really. Need to lose 4 stone, have failed at every diet I've tried so am going back to basics - 3 low fat meals, 2 healthy snacks, 2 litres of water, more exercise.

I have to do it - on a serious note, have two gorgeous DCs and I want to be fit for them - this weight is not good for me and I know that I'm putting myself at risk of heart trouble, diabetes etc etc - and what's more, I want to wear a size 12 again - instead of size 20 for fuck's sake.

Have failed on all the summer weight loss threads so am hoping that starting my own will spur me on! So anyone with me? Or just want to come and shout at me when I want a chunky kit kat?

thank you. Not convinced March will ever get easier.

Lost 1lb so thats ok - whats better is that in total thats now 2 stone

sillybillymummy · 04/03/2011 16:46

Well Done flo :-) , even thought it sounds like march is a bad month for you, you are doing so well x

I did write in the week, but looks like i never actually posted, must of been distracted by the kids

12.3 lbs, so i've lost 2 lbs since last week.
Feeling crappy because tonight was the night, i've been losing the weight for - and was so poorly yesterday, i went to the doctors and have viral throat infection, i can't talk... its so painful to swallow, and its a sit down dinner do tonight, so i really don't think i can go.
My hub won't go without me though, so i'm eating icecream and taking drugs in hope i will feel better by 7 - sods law. Been looking forward to this for months.

Niecie · 04/03/2011 17:34

Well done flo, especially on getting to the 2st mark.

Sillybillymummy - well done to you too. What a bummer to get ill just when you are going to have a night out! I hope you can salvage something from the evening. I suppose if your throat stays bad, at least you won't be able to eat much! [smile}

solo · 04/03/2011 17:38

Well done everyone.
Sillybilly, get well soon.x
Flo :( but well done on 2 stones off :)

sillybillymummy · 05/03/2011 23:49

Thanks ladies x
It wasn't too bad, i drank alot of alcohol, which numbed it a bit!

florencerusty · 07/03/2011 09:24

Glad you did manage to go Sillybilly

Have developed a crop of mouth ulcers - should be a good loss this week as I cant damn well eat anything now :(

solo · 07/03/2011 11:27

Flo :(

Niecie · 07/03/2011 23:35

Oh flo, that sounds nasty. I have had a few whooper mouth ulcers in my time and they can really make your eyes water when they sting, can't they? I can't imagine what several of them must be like. Sad

solo · 08/03/2011 09:54

How are you all doing? I seem to be on MN a lot less overall lately ~ probably not a bad thing really. Hope you are all Ok (mouth ulcers excepting) and hope we can catch up soon. :) keep up the good work.

florencerusty · 08/03/2011 19:22

antibiotics now :( Screaming agony still after paracetomol, high strength ibruprofn and tramadol :(

Niecie · 08/03/2011 20:55

Oh you poor thing!

I hope the ABs do the trick overnight and things are improved tomorrow. They are often stress related, aren't they? Like you need anything else to worry about this month!!

Solo, It goes like that sometimes doesn't it? Sometimes I come on here a lot and sometimes I don't. It is a bit of a relief when you find yourself not so drawn to it, actually. Just don't forget to come back from time to time - we need to know how you are getting on!!

Anybody giving anything up for lent? I am giving up chocolate and sweets which are two of my major weaknesses, not out of any great religious conviction, but because it can't do any harm and I can give them up completely for a while if I know I can have them again in a few weeks - I don't feel deprived much.

I feel like tomorrow is a fresh start. The worst of AF is over so the PMT bloat and cravings are waining and I am giving up things that aren't good for me. Then I need to work on making sure that I don't fall back into bad habits once Easter is over.Smile

Fingers crossed for a good week at the scales everybody.

florencerusty · 10/03/2011 09:25

Perhaps the antibiotics are working now - god I have to hope. Had a severe run in with a tomato yesterday - wincing wasnt close! lol Yesterday was better but by the evening it was agoy again. I think perhaps I am a bit run down and March won't help :(

On a brighter note an early weigh is boding well. I am not giving up anything for lent! I have already given up biscuits lol enough is enough.

Solo just make sure you keep nipping by :)

Niecie · 10/03/2011 13:39

Sorry those ulcers are still playing you up florence. It sounds hideous but good that there are some signs of improvement. I'll have to try to remember not to be so flippant next time DS1 gets one. Blush

I swear his are self inflicted though. He chews wooden ice lolly sticks and I am sure he gives himself splinters. .

At least the scales will be kind to you tomorrow.

I am feeling motivated again but I doubt the results will show this week. Last weekend was baaaaaad.

solo · 10/03/2011 22:19

Just dipping in to say that I can put on/take off one of my pairs of jeans without undoing them and I need a smaller belt!!!
Good luck weighing in; I'm not weighing in, but I'm pleased with what's happening :)

solo · 11/03/2011 09:40

How are you doing then?

florencerusty · 11/03/2011 11:09

Solo thats brilliant :)

despite my starvation and best of hopes - half a damn pound!

solo · 11/03/2011 23:12

Which is great flo; it's still a loss! :) well done!

Niecie · 12/03/2011 15:37

Well done flo! 1/2lb is 1/2lb.

Solo - fab news on the trousers!! You'll have to dig your smaller sizes in your wardrobe! Unless you are super organised and chucked them out when they stopped fitting. Sadly I'm not so I have a full array of sizes just waiting for me to shrink!!

I am down a bit on the scales but I feel like a fraud for saying so as I seem to be gaining and losing the same 5 or 6lbs all the time. I shall probably have just got back to a proper loss in the next 4 weeks and the damn Easter holidays will here, with the children home and me eating too much again. Seems to be a pattern here. Summer holidays, half terms, Christmas. They have all done their damage.

Feel very like giving up but then I won't get any slimmer by giving up will I? I am just so useless that this!! I do so well in the day and in the evening it all goes to pot. SadBlush

Part of the problem lies in the fact that the 2st I have lost has solved all my immediate problems like not being able to tie shoes laces, put on socks or cross my legs and all that. I still look bloody awful but not as awful as before and I am not suffering from the weight so much. I can't believe it is healthy to still have another 4 stone-ish to lose but the damage is all on the inside I suppose and not enough of a motivator any more.

Don't know what to do short of joining WW or SW or something but I really don't want to do that.

Sorry, I'll shut up now. Got a bit carried away there - just so frustrated with myself. Grrrrrrr Blush

solo · 12/03/2011 19:24

Niecie!!! Do Paul McKenna. Do it, do it, do it! at least you can eat what you want as long as you follow his rules. :) We can all be slim for the summer.

Niecie · 14/03/2011 11:29

LOL - OK I will read the books!!Smile

How is working for you Solo? Obviously something is doing the trick if your trousers are falling down but have you noticed a change since you went to the seminar?

florencerusty · 14/03/2011 21:12

Am here quietly sorry

Niecie · 14/03/2011 21:37

Don't be sorry!! You have bigger things to worry about than us.

How are your ulcers? Have they cleared up OK?

florencerusty · 15/03/2011 16:44

Last one is still there but almost gone and no longer sore thankfully - antibiotics finished too.
I joined a dancercise group yesterday - figure its another little step

How are you all doing?

solo · 16/03/2011 23:06

1 kilo off.

Niecie · 17/03/2011 09:49

Well done Solo!!

How much more have you got to go roughly?
