Am going to stop eating crap and lose 4 stone. Want to help me stay on the straight and narrow?

That's it really. Need to lose 4 stone, have failed at every diet I've tried so am going back to basics - 3 low fat meals, 2 healthy snacks, 2 litres of water, more exercise.

I have to do it - on a serious note, have two gorgeous DCs and I want to be fit for them - this weight is not good for me and I know that I'm putting myself at risk of heart trouble, diabetes etc etc - and what's more, I want to wear a size 12 again - instead of size 20 for fuck's sake.

Have failed on all the summer weight loss threads so am hoping that starting my own will spur me on! So anyone with me? Or just want to come and shout at me when I want a chunky kit kat?

Morning ladies
Am skiving the ironing for a sec, have moved my belt on another hole today :)
Can you tell I am pleased lol

9 kids for a party by yourself? madness!

giraffesCantDookForApples · 27/10/2010 12:59

Good news about belt :)

SoloBlackWidowSpidersWebSite · 27/10/2010 16:07

Hey ladies! well done all you great losers!

I stood on my scales today first thing and they said 14st 12 3/4lbs. Quite pleased about that :)
Also, I went to the surgery weight loss nurse and she weighed me and (only) measured my waist. I'm just on the edge of toppling to the red zone on the tape measure.

She's given me a great fat burning soup diet to try.

I am definitely starting on Monday though, but just being (quite) sensible for now :)

Am going to go onto my Fat Flush diet which is very strict, but very effective. Fingers crossed!

giraffesCantDookForApples · 27/10/2010 20:02

Well done solo [hsmile]

Just back from the gym did a bit more than usual tonight. Also took the little one swimming this morning and had pool to ourselves. Its like a splash pool and a teaching pool attached. So while she sat and splashed/doggy paddled I swam widths beside her while chatting. Then she wanted us to do "races" up and down so that was some exercuse anyway.

Food not so good, been a bit of a rushed day.

florencerusty · 28/10/2010 18:15

developing a migraine as we speak and could eat a scabby horse :(

crazystace · 28/10/2010 20:21

It's the will power for me, cold winter nights after a day at work and i just grab anything sweet and sickly. I'm really gonna make an effort this time round.

SoloBlackWidowSpidersWebSite · 28/10/2010 20:45

I stood on scales this morning to be greeted by 15st 1/2lb :(
Yes, I know I shouldn't do it every day, but I can't help it! I have to know!

Proper weigh in tomorrow though with you guys and the diet starts on Monday as promised!

Niecie · 29/10/2010 11:10

No gain, no loss here. I am stuck. Sad

I am blaming half term. The children are leading me astray.

I will be better next week.

Hope the rest of your losers did better than me!Smile

giraffescantdookforapples · 29/10/2010 12:39

I have eaten junk today and yesterday. Oops. I think period is due as have lots of spots and burst in to tears last night at a tv show.

florencerusty · 29/10/2010 16:18

been a tougher week - DH home so no routine. Loss of 1lb

SoloBlackWidowSpidersWebSite · 30/10/2010 01:36

15st 1 1/2lbs

Not a great day either.

florencerusty · 01/11/2010 09:22

That's it DH back at work and I am back in the zone .... repeat after me ..... back in the zone, back in the zone ......

Niecie · 01/11/2010 12:25

We'd all be thin and gorgeous if it weren't for other people wouldn't we florence? I am similarly pleased the DC are back at school - I didn't have a good week either as the lack of loss shows. I reckon if I lived by myself I would be as thin as a rake. Handily, since I can't kick the rest of the family out of the house permanently, we'll never know for sure if that were true and I can't be proved wrong. Grin

Back in the zone too.....Smile

florencerusty · 01/11/2010 16:10

Oh god no lol. Not sure I'd be thin or gorgeous even if I lived by lettuce alone!

I love DH being home but the lack of routine just takes my feet from under me! lol

ShinySoloSparklySolo · 01/11/2010 16:43

Blush I haven't started yet and I know I said I would...tomorrow Dd is back at school, so...

ShinySoloSparklySolo · 02/11/2010 14:00

Well, I started this morning bang on 15st and was going well until...

lunch time...I bought bakery bread Blush and used some Boursin double Blush and had a tiny piece of birthday cake and a mince pie

I need encouragement ~ wahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Claire527 · 02/11/2010 14:10

Hi Sparky!

Have you ever tried the Atkins Diet? I am thinking of trying it as I need to lose 2 stone!

Let me know what diet you decide to follow. I could do with some support myself.
Don't you think losing weight becomes harder as your getting older?

ShinySoloSparklySolo · 02/11/2010 14:16

I do Claire, I'm 46 now and have never had so much to lose before or found motivation so hard to grip. I used the Atkins diet years back and it was ok, but I couldn't possibly afford to do it now.

I usually do the Fat Flush diet which is a type of detox, but is also quite expensive to do...I just need to motivate myself and bite the low calorie bullet.

There are a good bunch on here, so stick around on this thread for some encouragement. I am :)

lushlady · 02/11/2010 15:04

Come on ladies, we can all do it and don't mind about the setbacks - life's full of them. Dust yourself off and get back on it. I'm always falling off that diet wagon but I start again and it's all good. Getting on well with the celeb slim replacements right now but I never rule out a chocolate relapse. Smile

florencerusty · 02/11/2010 16:22

Solo you will be fine, every day is a new one - so today wasn't great but tomorrow can be.
I have had this much to lose before but did it with ww and this time I just cant justify the cost so counting calories relentlessly. Allow yourself some treat days and then you'll feel less deprived I think

Niecie · 02/11/2010 16:50

Solo, don't write today off, just invoke the 80/20 rule, say you have had your 20% bad stuff for the day and have a healthy evening meal. You will be fine. I bet you will surprise yourself by the end of the week.

I had a better day yesterday only marred by finishing off a tube of Pringles. To be fair there were only 7 or 8 of them but it just that sort of habit that I need to break if I am going to turn into a healthy eating slim person. Still some work to do on that it seems!!

ShinySoloSparklySolo · 02/11/2010 22:50

Thanks guys! :)

ShinySoloSparklySolo · 03/11/2010 23:10

Been really good today, but I'm starving!

One down...

florencerusty · 04/11/2010 08:36

Solo wahay :) well done - starving is hard work :)

I have tended to try and have low cal alternatives to my panic foods in the house, just in case e.g. weightwatchers biscuits and lots of options drinks :)

So good luck for today and to us all

ShinySoloSparklySolo · 04/11/2010 15:20

Thanks florence :) been really good today so far, despite being very tempted by the fresh bread! I know it's just a matter of training and shrinking my stomache and thereby my appetite :)

I'm not allowed the biscuits or anything like that on my diet, so will just have to have more fruit.
