Am going to stop eating crap and lose 4 stone. Want to help me stay on the straight and narrow?

That's it really. Need to lose 4 stone, have failed at every diet I've tried so am going back to basics - 3 low fat meals, 2 healthy snacks, 2 litres of water, more exercise.

I have to do it - on a serious note, have two gorgeous DCs and I want to be fit for them - this weight is not good for me and I know that I'm putting myself at risk of heart trouble, diabetes etc etc - and what's more, I want to wear a size 12 again - instead of size 20 for fuck's sake.

Have failed on all the summer weight loss threads so am hoping that starting my own will spur me on! So anyone with me? Or just want to come and shout at me when I want a chunky kit kat?

Giraffes! :( so sorry to know you've been in hospital. Hope all better soon. :)

Ahem! know all about the leaning on scales!!!

Stood on scales again this morning (I know, I know!!) and have gone back down Hmm to 15st 3/4lb, pleased about that! but really, I'm looking to start with sense on November the 1st. Hope that's ok with every one.

Right, off to eat cheese and pickle sandwich which will be banned from Nov 1st by the way.

Niece want to say thank you so much for the shove towards Foodfocus - I love it!

Have fished out the old weightwatchers cook books and started using those and filling them in as meals to save for the future. Only week 2 but still feeling really positive and believe me it's usually out of the window by now :)

giraffesCantDookForApples · 18/10/2010 21:36

Thanks Niecie and Solo. Today have had fat (haha that was meant to say far - freudian slip?!) too much bread!! Toast for breakfast, a biscuit at playgroup, a banana, salad sandwich for lunch, 2 mini wholemeal bun things and sandwiches for dinner! Oops.

Going to go to the gym after work tomorrow, just for half an hour or so - better than nothing.

giraffesCantDookForApples · 18/10/2010 21:37

[hsmile] oh yipee we have halloween ones now

SoloBlackWidowSpidersWebSite · 18/10/2010 23:31

Don't over do it giraffes. [hgrin]

giraffesCantDookForApples · 19/10/2010 20:34

I did 25 mins. Eating a cookie now Blush

giraffesCantDookForApples · 20/10/2010 06:20

Oi! Where are you all? Stop hiding and come and share in my feeling of guilt at eating crap after the gym. Cant go after work tonight as am working (a different job) but will go Thursday. Going to take little one swimming today.

Can someone make me a cup of tea? I feel a bit sick. Like a hangover but cos I ate crap.

florencerusty · 20/10/2010 09:05

Morning giraffe

Guilt is a waste, new day and all that :)

Off to make tea now, no sugar I assume

Niecie · 20/10/2010 20:16

Oh dear, only 2 days until Friday. Not having the most virtuous week this week. Just had Chinese for tea. Was delicious but I am stuffed which can't be good.

And M & S seem to have invent a new thing to tempt me with - Yum Yums with jam!!! Shock

Niecie · 20/10/2010 20:18

Oh and Giraffes, there is no point prodding this thread at 6.20am!!! We were all in bed. Grin

Sleep is the dieter's friend, you know!

Hope you had a good day and enjoyed your swim.

florencerusty · 20/10/2010 20:19

Oh god jammy yums yums - make mental note not to enter M&S food hall!

I am having a horrid day - AF has arrived and brought the hunger uncle with her! I have succumbed to 50g of plain chocolate but it is still in my calories

Preciousdaisybear · 21/10/2010 22:14

Hello everyone I fell off the radar for a bit - the kids school holidays and we actually went away YAY. Back to normal now so havw been reading up on how you are all doing. Have not been on the scales yet as have eaten junk for the best part of 2 weeks AND had far too much to drink Grin. Still will weigh in tomorrow and then start in earnest. I am back to work in 4 weeks when mat leave runs out and petrified I will have to go back wearing my maternity trousers as none of my 'real' work clothes will fit...

giraffesCantDookForApples · 22/10/2010 10:20

mmm jammy yum yums sound good, not a fan of the normal kind, well they are ok but would rather have a ring doughnut, but jammy kind sound nice.

hi PDB :)

I am proud I went to the gym yesterday and am going again today. As for eating not been too good - oops.

SoloBlackWidowSpidersWebSite · 22/10/2010 12:26

So...I'm now 14st 13lbs. Can't imagine why though! but I'm glad to have dropped below 15st.
Must start trying to walk again, but I'll do it slowly and build up. I mean only do one return trip a day, not 2. :)

Niecie · 22/10/2010 15:14

Well done Solo. I wish I could be sub 15st. That is my aim for Christmas which is 9 weeks away. I should be able to do it but whether I will or not is another matter!

Anyway, not a great week for me although the dodgy scales don't make it entirely clear. Mostly it is saying 0.3lb off but I did get a bundle of readings that say it is a whole 1lb so I am going to average it and say 1/2lb

Niecie 15.11 -0.5lb Total loss 7lbs

I blame the jammy yum yums. Blush

On the plus side I am 2.5lbs down on what I was just before the summer hols and 7lbs down on the start of the thread which is 0.5st which sounds much better.

11lbs in 9 weeks. What do you reckon ladies? Smile

SoloBlackWidowSpidersWebSite · 22/10/2010 15:44

I reckon you should pat yourself on the back Niecie :) Well done!

Preciousdaisybear · 22/10/2010 16:30

Oh well done Niecie that's brilliant.

florencerusty · 22/10/2010 19:59

I think Niecie you are doing fab.
Weighed this morning and lost another 2lb so very chuffed. However having the night off counting tonight :)

Niecie 15.11 -0.5lb Total loss 7lbs

Florencerusty 13.2 -2lb Total loss 12lb

giraffesCantDookForApples · 22/10/2010 23:50

well done you losers - I mea that in a nice way Grin

Niecie · 23/10/2010 17:51

Florence that is amazing! Well done.Smile

I bet your clothes must be feeling looser by now. Do you have a target in mind?

florencerusty · 23/10/2010 22:58

I'd like to be10st for starters.
As for looser clothes- moved 2 holes up my belt today :)

mamadiva · 23/10/2010 23:21

Hey everyone :o, Did'nt get to WW this week as DS has had chicken pox since Sat so... been stuck in all week, ventured out today for first time since last Thursday! Will weigh in next week.

Solo- I know it's tempting but try not to weigh yourself more than once/twice a week because your weight naturally fluctuates from day to day so you should ideally find a time and place that suits. If I move my scales I am always heavier than in middle of kitchen but that seems to tie in with WW.

Florence- Well done you! It's things like that that give you morale boost :o

Giraffe- SOrry to hear you have'nt been well. Take it easy and get your butt back in gear ata reasonable pace for yourself :o

Niecie- Well done to you too on your 1/2 stone :o

Preciousdaisybear · 24/10/2010 23:37

Hurray Florence that's brilliant. [hgrin]

I weighed in today for the first time since piggy holiday and was pleasantly suprised to find I am still 12st 10 - which is not great as I am only 5' nothing - but not having put on is good. Being v good to try to get a loss for next friday...

Niecie · 25/10/2010 00:55

mamadiva - sorry to hear that your DS hasn't been well. I was just thinking that there seems to be a lot of it about at the moment and wondering who I knew who also had it this last week...... then I remembered it was Tina O'Brien from Strictly and not somebody I actually know after all. BlushGrin

precious - well done not gaining whilst being on holiday. That can be so difficult to do!

Lol at so many of us knowing where the hot spots are when using our scales and which bits of floor give us the best/worse readings! Grin

giraffesCantDookForApples · 26/10/2010 22:17

Thanks mama [hgrin]

precious how wa syour holiday?

niecie I have een totally avoidig the scales [hblush] I had an eating disorder as a teen and as a result I tend to freak out if not lost as much as I think I should. So am a bit worried about going near them.

I went to the gym on Sunday and had a scary experience, had slept most of the day (odd/late shifts fri/sat) and so woke up in afternoon had weetabix and went to gym. Heart rate was up 10 after 10min of very very gentle exercise. Felt really dizzy and unwell so stopped and sat in car for ten min before going home. Confused Anyway went to gym this eve and did half an hour and was fine.

Had a Halloween party today - 9 kids on my own. It was a bit manic, but fun. [hgrin]
