God, I remember making blackberry wine with my parents when I was little - straining it through tights etc - what a bloody mess :) I think apples are far more sensible !!

Can we have a ban on correcting ourselves on this thread? We all know we know the difference between there/their/they're and no/know and now don't we?? Please.... humor me Grin

Welcome back Milk, we missed you.Smile

I'll see your KFC & raise you a flapjack & some raspberry vodka!Grin

See you tomorrow.

ChippingIn · 08/09/2010 23:34

Milk you're a bloody tease - pop in for a nano second and bugger off again....

ChippingIn · 08/09/2010 23:36

Sgt Raspberry Vodka - yummmm I'm rather partial to Toffee Vodka :)

SgtAngua · 08/09/2010 23:36

We have a fruit press, no straining through tights required thank goodness.

Sorry about correcting, will stop immediately!

Friends of mine have just bought an old apple corer and press - sadly they are overseas, I suspect the brew will be brilliant - well, lethal anyway!!

SgtAngua · 08/09/2010 23:41

Just bottled this years raspberry vodka, some wes left over, shame to waste it! Did not actually drink all of it though. Have never had toffee vodka, it sounds lovely!

SgtAngua · 08/09/2010 23:42

Lethal is right, people often leave our house reeling...

ChippingIn · 08/09/2010 23:42

It is :) The Dooleys one is OK. We used to make it with cheap vodka, toffee syrup and a couple of extra hot cycles in the dishwasher!

SgtAngua · 08/09/2010 23:44

Ingeneous! Must try that.

ChippingIn · 08/09/2010 23:47

You need to try a few different 'toffee syrups' if you don't like the flavour beforehand, don't use it. We made allsorts (actually literally licorice allsorts), mars bars, haribo, chocolate.... so many, I don't even remember - but basically if it was sweet we tried it Grin

SgtAngua · 08/09/2010 23:54

Grin@ licorice allsort vodka. Was this a Friday night ritual?

ChippingIn · 08/09/2010 23:58

Umm not so much a Friday ritual, but it was only on days ending in a y.

SgtAngua · 09/09/2010 00:06

That explains it, clearly all that alcahol was neccessary to ward off the cold!

ChippingIn · 09/09/2010 00:12

Ah, sigh....... those were the days my friend, we thought would never end.....

So, how is DS tonight?

SgtAngua · 09/09/2010 00:19

Still fast asleep, woke earlier at about 10.30 for a feed so I'm hoping he'll sleep til morning now ( triumph of hope over experience).

He was very cute today when I got home, laughing & chasing the cat around the garden, the silly animal keeps coming back for more so can't be too traumatised.

SgtAngua · 09/09/2010 00:33

Bedtime for me too I think.

Night Chippy. Smile

ChippingIn · 09/09/2010 00:37

LOL @ triumph of hope over experience!

I just went into the kitchen for hot chocolate and came out with Baileys Confused and now I find myself abandoned... oh well, we have a new 'poster' (ahem under bridge dweller I think!), so I'll go over there... see you tomorrow :)

KickArseQueen · 09/09/2010 01:37

SgtAngua, I'd forgotten the green tinkle was still on there!Grin I'm also hoping the youngest ds (1yr) sleeps till morning but I too doubt it! he's only slept through about 3 times. and will normally wake at least twice between 12 and 6

I think you are probably right tho about the weightloss, I think I'm going to have to be very strict with myself - still b/f tho, so gotta keep the protien up..

Chippy, PMSL! @ cac! I know exactly what you mean - I've got to the point now where I read It as quack, but that really isn't much better, next time I namechange I will consider the abbreviations!! KA is fine tho :) this is WLR I have to admit I love it - if I say that enugh do you think they'll give me free membership???Grin

I'm going to log in for the 24 hr free period when I've got time and I'll print off a months worth of sheets and all my common foods Grin

Right I have to go to bed.

Night all :)

SgtAngua · 09/09/2010 23:44

Anyone around?

Sorry for abandoning you last night Chippy, I was trying to be sensible & get at least a couple of hours sleep in case DS woke up. Wonder of wonders he slept through til 6.30!!Grin

It's only the 4th time he has ever done it...probably lulling us into a false sense of security & will be up & ready to party at 3am tonight.

Sounds like your youngest DS is in the same mould as mine KA, hope you had a reasonable night too.Smile

ChippingIn · 10/09/2010 23:59

Hi all

Anyone around?

Sgt what little trooper eh! How did he do last night??

SgtAngua · 11/09/2010 00:13

Hi Chippy,

Yes was rather suprised to wake up & it was morning rather than the middle of the night!
Last night he did 7 to 2 & 3 to 6.30 so only 1 waking, result!Grin

ChippingIn · 11/09/2010 00:20

Excellent Grin

Long may it last!!

Did you make sure the raspberry vodka was ok tonight??

SgtAngua · 11/09/2010 00:30

If it doesn't fit back in the bottles I can't just let it go to waste.

It was delishSmile

Hopefully Tom will do a decent sleep tonight cos I'm trying to pack a few things to go & visit my Mum for the weekend.
