Walking!!! Grin

Little bugger would do it while you were at work - I think they know how to hit you where it hurts!! My friends little girl walked for the first time when I was looking after her - I had such mixed feelings and didn't know whether to tell my friend or not, in the end I texted her and she guessed what had happened (luckily she was glad if it wasn't her it was me who had seen her do it - phew!). It's nice it was your DH who saw him first

ChippingIn · 27/09/2010 23:25

Just wrote another post and it has been eaten by the machine... arghhhhh.

Lovely photos!! DS3 has grown so much!! I love the top one, he's adorable. DS1 is a hairy beast isn't he - it's hard to believe DS3 will be that 'grown up' one day, it's kind of weird to get your head around isn't it (or is that just me Blush).

SgtAngua · 27/09/2010 23:49

Hehehe, yes DS1 is 6ft3 of hairy, slightly wiffy (OMG the socks) teenager, but is the sweetest natured lad you could meet! He is so lovely with his little bro, although his affection is of the tickling, throwing him up in the air variety, good job he is a rough & tumble type of baby.Grin

Will probably grow up to be into extreme sports!

I've not been too bad today either. I ate breakfast (branflakes, banana & yogurt), had a nectarine & a banana at work instead of biscuits, rice & veg for lunch, Pasta & ratatouille for dinner, small helping of apple crumble, no icecream for pud. This evening I have had 4 squares of chocolate & some frozen grapes.
So not too bad, I think.

ChippingIn · 27/09/2010 23:59

DS2 & DS3 lucky to have such a lovely big brother :) It's good all that rough & tumble - it helps them develop certain things quicker and better than babies who are never thrown around. (Brain is too addled to think of the correct terms Confused).

Sounds pretty good. I had 3 crumpets for brunch with a smear of peanut butter, then 4 small (probably 2 normal size ones) fajitas for dinner and the small bar of chocolate. Apple later on. So, not great, but not bad and no bingeing.

I am off to bed now, to try to break the 3.30 cycle - in order to have more energy in the day :)

Night x

SgtAngua · 28/09/2010 00:23

Sleep tight x

Hello? anyone home?

OP posts:
SgtAngua · 29/09/2010 20:19

Hi Milk, how's it going?

I'm hiding upstairs on MN as DH is watching the footie.

I've been good for three whole days now, food wise! I've even dusted off the slow cooker to do some healthy veg soups to take to work for lunch. [saintly emoticon]

Are you still doing mad hours & weekends at work?

MilkNoSugarPlease · 29/09/2010 20:55

Hiya! I'm in bed! Feeling rather peckish so am going to go to bed as opposed to eating Wotsits!!

I want a slow cooker! although tbh Id forget to put it on!

Ive eaten fairly well this week! by fairly I mean not stuffed myslef :o

Not mad hours this week! charges have reletives staying who insist on spending time with the kids...so i finish at 5pm...who am i to argue Wink

But it goes back to normal next week...booo!

Am refusing to work weekends now though...maybe the odd one but not everyone she asks me to :o

How are you anyway?

OP posts:
SgtAngua · 29/09/2010 21:12

Good avoidance tactics,Grin can't eat crap while you're asleep!

Frozen grapes rock as an evening munchie BTW.

Good for you for knocking the weekend working on the head as a regular thing, sounds like you have been too knackered & busy to do much fun stuff recently.

Speaking of knackered, I'm dead beat this evening as DS3 was up most of last night & then I had to work today. Must have a reasonable bedtime tonight.

Oops! Shock

MilkNoSugarPlease · 29/09/2010 21:26

I was about to turn the telly off when i realised NCIS is on...I will be awake for the next 36m at least :o

I would easily eat 20 bags of grapes! I had the nicest grapes ever this weekend! SO good!

I could do with the money tbh but I have to weigh that up against my sanity Wink

Go to bed woman!

Oh and your DS Is scrummy! and you do NOT look old enough to have a 16yo!!!

Well if thats you in your pic! :o

OP posts:
SgtAngua · 29/09/2010 21:42

That pic is me but those sunglasses hide the bags really well!

I'm going to watch Ugly Betty then off to bed. 11pm is quite early for me.Grin

ChippingIn · 29/09/2010 22:43

You girls still there?

I had a good day yesterday - just when there wasn't anyone to tell - where were you???
Anyway - I need to tell you now, before I tell you about today!

Yesterday - Apple, Banana, ChipChilie - grated carrot & cabbage, with a tin of heated chillie beans & sweet corn on top, handful of nacho chips. Went out to see Vagina Monologues and had 2x single vodka & tonics (not a favourite drink, but lowest calories!!). Walked for half an hour - which I know is only half of what I had planned, but I walked to the post office to mail something urgent and it was all I could face after so little sleep - still I got out of the house and walked, so counting it as good :)

Today - had loads planned and had started getting it done, then got a call from a friend in dire need of help and have been there all day. Exhausted! Very physical help required, so although no walking - it has to count right?? Unfortunately they ordered pizza for dinner and I'm the only veggie - I ate an entire small pizza myself :( Nobody else wanted any of it, so I troughed my way through it. I had been stuck somewhere with no food and no access to food all day so had only had a biscuit and a mini mars bar, so I'm sure I'm still lowish on calories but felt like a real pig afterwards :(

SgtAngua · 30/09/2010 00:03

I'm still up Chippy.

Meant to go to bed earlier but DS3 woke up. Is still up & if last night is anything to go by I'm doooomed to never sleep again!

Well done for yesterday, sounds like you are on track, don't be put off by today - it was totally beyond your control & you had to eat something.

How was (were?) theVagina Monologues?

SgtAngua · 30/09/2010 00:36

Phew, he's back in his cot. Fingers crossed that he stays there!

ChippingIn · 01/10/2010 00:24

'Vagina Monologues' was a good show :) Quite funny in places - quite sobering in others.

Today was even worse - went to friends to help for an hour this morning and got home about an hour ago. I don't mind, not at all, I would do anything for them, anytime - buy why now when I was so determined to be 'good' this month. Ended up having white bread toast for lunch, coffee, cheese toasties for dinner and hot chips :( sigh.... the thing is I couldnt really have anything else without making a big fuss and that's the last thing they need right now - so, will just have to suck it up! (this could go on for a while - her Dad is now in hospital and only visiting hours are evenings, so will end up eating dinner with them most nights I suspect). Anyway, I will just have to do what I can, when I can and not worry too much - there will be another 4 weeks starting afterwards (just that this date is important to me and I wanted to achieve 'something' by then) - I will have to change the 'something' to 'doing a good turn' I think! Confused

I was 'better' than I would have been before I didn't have crisps with lunch or any of the biscuits/chocolate etc that were around so I guess that's something (& the biggie - no bingeing!!!!).

Knackered from running around all day (& being up at the crack of a sparrows fart this morning after not going to sleep till 3am) - does taking the kids to the park and lifting them up and down (repeatedly) and pushing them etc count towards exercise???? It does today in Chippy's book :)

How is munchkin chops tonight? You need to have words with that wee lad and explain the concept of 'sleeping through'!!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 01/10/2010 21:04

Hi all!

Hope all is ok with your friend Chipping you sound like a fab friend!

And running round all day IS exercise!!

I had Chinese for dinner tonight....woops! Chicken chow mein, chicken with cashew nuts, chicken and peanuts (look, I like chicken ok!! :o)
Tried DB's lemon chicken...why oh why would anyone eat that!? it tastes like sooap!

OP posts:
SgtAngua · 01/10/2010 21:11

Sleeping through, HAHAhahaha!!

If it makes you feel any better I've had some chips tonight too, and some king prawn fried rice.Blush Other than that I've been quite good though.

You sound like a very lovely friend Chippy.Smile I agree that there's not much you can do about what they feed you while you're there. It's a PITA that something always crops up when you're feeling galvanized to eat better that throws a spanner in the works.

Any chance that part of your helping out at your friends could involve cooking dinner? Then you could decide what was on the menu. Wink

It sounds like you are doing the best you can under the circumstances, well done for resisting the crisps & biccies & for not binging!

Playing with the kids in the park is definately exercise in my book too! Grin

DS3 has been a smiley, giggling bundle of joy today, according to DH. That would be because he slept well ( not through though ) last night. I'm off to do some stuff ( housework, yawn ), I'll be back on here around midnight.

SgtAngua · 01/10/2010 21:19

Hi Milk,

Friday night is takeaway night! Grin It's sooo hard not to have it when everyone else is. I was positively heroic & only had half a portion of the rice & half a portion of chips.

I misread your post & thought you said "I look like chicken ok!! Hehehe!

SgtAngua · 02/10/2010 00:48

Hi, well bugger all housework was done as the little blighter decided to wake up at about 9.30 Hmm but is back in bed now! I keep telling myself that they all sleep through eventually. I don't remember either of his brothers being such spectacularly bad sleepers though!

How did it go today Chippy? How are your friends doing?

MilkNoSugarPlease · 04/10/2010 00:29

Hope DS3 is sleeping right now SGT!

how is everyone?

how are your friends Chipping?

OP posts:
SgtAngua · 04/10/2010 19:55

Hi Milk & Chippy,

Well food-wise things are going alright most of the time. I've definately reigned in the bingeing on cake, biccies, bread products & cheese ( mainly by not baking them in the first place which is a bit Sad for DH & the boys )

Not been totally saintly though, made & ate apple crumble ( again ) & had honey roasted parsnips & beetroot with yesterdays roast. They were yummy! Also had wine on Saturday but only one glass.

How are you both doing?

Hope your friends are ok & you are not getting too discouraged by having no control over what is available to eat Chippy.

SgtAngua · 06/10/2010 00:20

Quick update.

Weighed myself this morning, as it was a week into proper weight loss effort, & I've lost 4lbs! Grin

I'm feeling quite good about that & motivated to keep going for another week.

< only another 2 stones to go >

SgtAngua · 08/10/2010 23:59

Rubbish day today. Sad

I was doing so well then this evening I ate a pitta with chips & mayo in & later on 2 Chomp bars. Blush
