What did you eat today?

I have found that writing down what I eat each day helps me to lose weight.

I want to lose 10kg.

I am going to aim to eat three meals a day with no snacks or grazing - usually this means that I will lose weight.

I might try to do one or two pure protein days a week dukan style.

I also have to gently increase my activity levels.

If anyone wants to join me or has any advice you are welcome/much appreciated.

Today I had

-whole grain rice puffs, raisins, oats and milk, grapefruit, bananan

  • fish and rice
-smoked mackerel sandwich and a lot of camembert.

Not a great day. Tomorrow I plan to have

  • porridge with water
  • pulse type of soup and brown rice
  • brown rice and fish with cauliflower

2 poached eggs and 2 pieces bacon
2 slices chicken breast with salad leaves, half a grated cucumber, grated celery a tiny bit of cathedral city 50 % less fat
dinner was brocolli and roast chicken.

I think this is a good day, have just had about 15 nuts as well but i think i needed the energy and it was that or chocolate brownie..so the healthier option i think!

Woahthere are you doing low carb? I am toying with the idea of the Dukan - have you tried that?

have tried dukan, have tried atkins, have tried all of them really but essentially yes, i like low carb, it makes me feel more energetic, i m sort of doing my own thing now and have decided not to ban myself from having a bit of fat if im struggling. I think its working, lost 6lbs this week and I feel ace. x

Im doing Paul McKenna, and for breakfast I had an egg & bacon sandwich, I had a jaffa cake as a snack about 11 and am now cooking fish in parsley sauce & veg for lunch.

Maduggar, how was the rest of your day.

I did semi dukan today

I had

  • soup
  • haddock baked with chilli
two packets of roast ham
  • teas

that is it.

I will keep this up and I may go and join the Dukanners as well as this one.

Tomorrow I am planning

-haddock
-teas
quark with oatbran
packet of ham

My big downfall is that I do not drink any water - I tend to do this when I am feeling low. It is a very bad habit. I am going to try to drink two litres tomorrow.

had a few snacks this afternoon (low cal crisps, 1 chicken nugget, 2 slices ham) and then had curried mince & rice for tea. I was very hungry though (went too far on teh hunger scale) and didnt listen to my body and ate a little bit too much! I still did leave about a quarter of my meal though.

feel ok today, but it is the first day of my diet, I really want to get some weight off. It will give me a mental boost. x

Natural rice puffs with a sprinkle of raisins, sunflower seeds and nuts.

Home made shepherds pie with lots of vegetables, a sugar mouse that my husband brought me back as a present (perhaps he's a 'feeder' Hmm) and a small helping of ice cream.

I was just sitting wondering if I could manage a little something for supper as I'm still hungry, but will probably resist.

Bowl of Special K with skimmed milk
Large plate of salad and tuna
2 Sausages with Cous-cous and mixed veg

Am on week 2 of trying to shift the lard that is stuck to my arse!

Today - (Paul McKenna method)

1 small banana, 1 slice toast & peanut butter. Didnt leave any, but ate slowly & conciously.

Eating out for lunch, so not sure yet what that will be.

hi dott, that is a good weightloss but i think i read somewhere that its not actually possible to lose that much fat in a week so some of it is surely water, but never mind, i was a pretty bloated and its my body detoxing. Im not sure how much i want to lose. Id like to initially lose 1 stone 3 l bs because that will take me to what i was before i gave up smoking and then had a baby and i felt quite good that weight, but then if its going well i'll keep going and another stone would be good. I cant remember ever being lighter than 10 1/2 stone though so I will just see, I dont know if its even possible...Im quite broad hipped and big boobed, I had an ace swim last night and I really do feel a lot more energetic than I was when eating carbs. My kids are killing me though, they ve got a tin of chocolates and i am having to resist.

Yesterday I ate:
egg and bacon for brekkie
ham salad for lunch
beef fillet, mushrooms, spinach and a sauce made out of philly light chives and pepper.

I snacked on bits of meat but not much really as wasnt that hungry, oh and 8 nuts!

Today Ive had: (Can you guess)...Egg and Bacon!

i shall list yesterdays so im shocked into staying in the Zone today

breakfast - bowl of blueberrys,strawberrys,grapes and apple
Lunch - bowl of bran flakes
Dinner - baked potato and HM corination chicken (low fat mayo) and salad.

Snacks - 3 big fat choc chunk cookies and a bowl of 3 min noodles.

Was doing well till the bloody cookies.

Toaday will be better

breakfast - 3 oat cakes with cottage cheese
Lunch - think i will have hmmm not sure
Dinner - ham and egg salad i think

snacks - hopefully nothing but fruit if im desperate.

I don't know what plan I am doing. Sort of low carb but not really. Low cal maybe?....

Yesterday was:

B - Slice wholemeal toast with 2 scrambled eggs
L - Salmon salad (salmon fillet, leaves, red cabbage, beetroot and light mayo
D - Salad leaves, light mayo, mince beef with fajita seasoning, strong cheddar cheese

No snacks as of yet, but will eat something if/when I get hungry.

hello all
today I had

  • teas lots
  • some water!
  • whole pot of zero fat natrual yoghurt
= two packs of cooked meat = rib eye steack = quark with tablespoon of oatbran

Doing the Dukan diet.

Tomorrow the plan is

  • quark and oabran
= packet of ham
  • cooked fish

keep going everyone. I find it is really helping me to write down what I have done and what I plan to do.

Eggs and bacon sound nice Woa I might have to buy some tomorrow.

Sorry to hear abuot your stress. Me too, we are in a buying and selling chain and our purchase is on the verge of collapsing. I want wine tonight, but not had yet

  • pork shoulder steak
= soya and protein powder shake

today I wanted [food porn warning]
cakes
wine
cigarettes and a packet of very sickly cadburys caramel biscuits and other types of biscuits including but not exclusively jam creams, boasters, garribaldi and a tin of quality street
whopper tripple with cheese GrinGrin

I have eaten appallingly today. Very, very stressful week this week and food has fallen way down my list of priorities. Must get on a health kick next week.

I had two eggs and one slice of toast and a coffee for breakfast, no lunch, no dinner, and tea and biscuits just now (lots of coffee and water all day). I feel grim. My body is crying out for some lean protein and veg!

Still going strong with Mr McKenna!

Breakfast - cornflakes & 1% milk (left some)

snacks - choc biscuit, pineapple

Lunch - 2 inch of a wholegrain baguette, light philly cheese

Dinner - slow roasted chinese beef, rice & cabbage (took a smaller protion than usual & still left some)

Snack (after an hours walk, i was hungry) 1 oatcake

I have stuck to the rules 100%, only ate when properly hungry, ate slowly, ate what I wanted and stopped when I was full.

i had bacon and eggs
1 chicken drumstick, celery with laughing cow light
leanlamb cooked with celery, shallots, mushrooms and a little philly light to make a sauce. Snacked on an entire pack of chicken breast (this sounds appalling but actually really low in cals, fat etc.)

I want to eat chocolate, a lot of chocolate and hot buttered toast, and strawberries. Managed not to drink a whole bottle of wine tonight. If only we lost a lb for every virtuous thing we did eh.

Somehow this weekend I have got to break it to my kids that their grandfather has almost certainly comitted suicide, they love him so much and were with him only a few weeks ago, its surreal. Thats nothing to do with my diet obviously, just want to offload.
