What did you eat today?

I have found that writing down what I eat each day helps me to lose weight.

I want to lose 10kg.

I am going to aim to eat three meals a day with no snacks or grazing - usually this means that I will lose weight.

I might try to do one or two pure protein days a week dukan style.

I also have to gently increase my activity levels.

If anyone wants to join me or has any advice you are welcome/much appreciated.

Today I had

-whole grain rice puffs, raisins, oats and milk, grapefruit, bananan

  • fish and rice
-smoked mackerel sandwich and a lot of camembert.

Not a great day. Tomorrow I plan to have

  • porridge with water
  • pulse type of soup and brown rice
  • brown rice and fish with cauliflower

Hi all,
Hope it's ok to join in. I'm kind of doing low carb but not being strict as still breastfeeding DS (8 months) so not restricting fruit & veg but cutting out processed carbs. Makes it easier to eat with the family too :)

Anyway, today I've had:

Breakfast: Egg mayonnaise
Post-Gym snack: Cheese & chive oatbran muffin
Late lunch: Tuna&sweetcorn mayo with cucumber
Laughing Cow cheese
Dinner: Meatballs in passata based sauce with broccoli
Approx. 8 almonds

Probably won't have anything else to eat now, possibly a couple more almonds or a nectarine if I feel really hungry later. Felt like bit of a snacky day today, must be more organised tomorrow.

Had my WI tonigth, 4lbs of (lost 4lbs last week too) so at the moment, I LOVE PAul McKenna! I eat what I want and lose weight! :)

Anyway, todays menu ...

B - porridge

Snack - small caramel slice

L - Ham & egg salad, salad cream

Snack - walkers baked crisps

D - Thai green curry & rice, half a Twix

Today I have had:

B - Special K with skimmed milk

Am Snack - Pot of melon/pinapple

L - Tuna Mayo salad

PM snack - more melon

D - Jacket Potato, mixed Veg and griddled Turkey breast.

Am feeling really hungry tonight though, going to head to bed soon or I will raid the cupboards!

Yesterday - 1 piece of bacon and 2 eggs.
ham
4 roses chocolates (whoops)
1 steak, fat removed, cous cous and low fat garlic and herbs cream cheese, cabbage, brocolli
1 plum

Then went and swam and did 70 lengths which is nearly twice as many as I could manage 5 weeks ago!

Weighed yesterday morning had lost no weight, but I know Im eating healthily so it will come off eventually, I always stall at this point and usually would give up, but this time I refuse to give in...I want to be thin! Besides which I have so far had 5 people say I look really good and have I lost weight...yippee!!

Today I had 2 boiled eggs with turkey ham
tuna, shredded cucumber and lettuce
2 pieces chicken
2 tomatoes
1 diet coke

dott...go make yourself a proper lunch, otherwise you might give in and have something naughty like I did yesterday, eggs is not enough! x

i have eaten 9 eggs now and had a yakult and an actimel and sloshes of water, feeling better

I just cannot face eating meat at the moment, I am going to get some tofu...

Today I've had:

B- 3 slices of ham & some brie
Small amount coronation chicken sandwich filler
Few almonds
L- tuna & sweetcorn mayo
Cheese & chive oatbran muffin
D- leftover meatballs with grated cheese

Feel quite full which is good & no cravings for 'naughty' stuff :) absolutely exhausted but think that's more to do with DS keeping me up each night than what I'm eating!

dott...that is a lot of eggs! i did dukan before, one thing i used to have that was yummy was chicken marinaded in 0% yoghurt and curry powder, plus a little bit of onion. i know youre fed up of meat but are you not going to get a bit, erm bunged up on all those eggs!

I have finished off my day by having roast chicken and cauliflower and spinach.
I want chocolate!!!! Not just a little bit though...a whole load of it! Im going to have a hot choc made with skimmed milk and cocoa powder and a bit of sweetener to satisfy my craving!

Woahthere good point, I have a chicken in the oven I will try your recipie tomorrow - kind of you to suggest it.

Well done with your day. Have you tried soya milk? I heard, not sure if it is true, that soya helps reduce appetite.

Oh it is so hard to be a dieter....

I'm doing a diet by judith wills, called how to lose a stone in 6 weeks. 3 weeks ago i finished a rosemary conley diet. Overall i've lost 17lbs in 7 weeks, down to a pound a week recently. Today i ate : B 2 slices of toast with flora light & shape yoghurt. L 30gms half fat feta, 4 stoned olives with tbs mayo in wholemeal pitta with green salad & tin of WW veg soup. D 350gms home made tuna kedgeree with green salad. Slice of toast as a snack & lots of coffee. I get 250 ml of milk a day & use sweetener.

Neither are you lisa! If we were calorie counting that cant be more than 1000 calories which is really low. Im not having a go but just be careful girls that your body doesnt rebel and start storing fat in a panic!

I had a bad day yesterday Blush
Started off ok:
B- nectarine & almond butter
laughing cow cheese
almonds
L- poached eggs, asparagus & ham
D- blackbean tofu stirfry with pak choy

but then DP & I had a DVD night...I'd been really organised at got myself a cheese oatbran muffin & a small bowl of almonds so as not to eat DP's toffee popcorn & chocolate...of course I ended up eating my snacks & then some of DP's too! Angry

Must do better today. Find Fridays hard as DP works in evening so I tend to get the munchies once DCs in bed!
So far today I've had:
a bowl of chopped melon
sf jelly with cream (sweet tooth been reactivated after last night :( )
Off to gym in a minute, planning to have some kind of eggs for lunch and protein & veg this evening...will report back later, sorry this has been so long!!

breakfast - Egg on linseed & soya toast

snack - choc biscuit

Lunch - smoked salmon, chick peas & salad

Dinner - porck chops topped with caramelised onion & mature cheddar, salad & coleslaw

Snack - small cake

Today -

Breakfast - linseed/soya toast & peanut butter

Lunch - 2 pork chops (leftover from last nights tea)

Dinner - home made lasagne

Hmmm, think I need to get back into the right frame of mind...only 3 weeks to go til my friend's wedding & I have a dress to fit into!!

Anyway, today looked like this:

B: bowl chopped melon
sf jelly with cream
GYM
few almonds
laughing cow cheese
L: scrambled eggs with 2 slices ham
1 mini caramel shortbread bite :(
D: 'carbonara' bacon & mushroom sauce on shredded cabbage (delish :) )
Several spoons of nutella Angry don't keep it in the house coz I have no self-control, but huge jar of it was calling to me when I went round to my mum's house this evening!! :( at least I stopped at eight a few spoons, better than whole jar being consumed over day or two like I could easily do if kept it at home!
& most recently, too many cocktail sausages coz they were reduced & I'm bored while DP at work this evening

Tomorrow will be a better day...
