Welcome back MrsKitty. Did you have a good time? I'm very Envy at the pizza - can't get Dominos out here!

I finally weighed myself. I was feeling so positive about it as my jeans are falling off me, my dh has actually noticed a difference and I can see a difference. I stood on my Wii Fit, focused on helium balloons, looked at the screen and saw I have lost......0.3kg!! Huh? how? Sad Oh well, perhaps it's a good job Dominos don't deliver to France.

juneybean · 22/09/2010 20:10

Thanks for the welcome, I think I'm going to try and go during the day tomorrow, I hope it'll be quieter.

I also did some walking today :)

HerculesPoirot · 22/09/2010 20:58

Well done Juney and good luck tomorrow!

MrsKitty · 23/09/2010 07:45

Hi Juney -Well done going swimming. I really need to take up some regular exercise.

aristocat · 23/09/2010 11:58

how was the swimming? juney did you enjoy it?

Sn0wflake · 23/09/2010 13:31

Hello lovely ladies. I would like to join you if I may?

I'm 15.3.5 and would like to get down to 12 stone. It's not skinny but something I think I could maintain and I could run at that weight pre pregnancy.

I've not got a convenient WW meeting but have done before so will be writing down what I eat and counting points and hopefully getting reinforcement here.

I have had very little will power recently and just done lots of stupid secret eating....I desperately want to be a normal eater (especially in front of my son).

bren66 · 23/09/2010 13:51

Can i join please? I could do with some moral support. I actually go to WW and have lost 3 stone in 18 months but have got another 15 pounds to go and I'm stalling at the moment. I need a kick up the backside to get motivated again!! I got re-married in August and that helped with the motivation but I'm getting complacent now. Please help!!!

aristocat · 23/09/2010 13:53

Sn0wflake you're in the right place, grab a chair Smile
we're all here to help each other and i never used to have willpower either, somehow i have it now Confused
i needed to lose weight because i have a bad knee and losing weight will prevent me having an op & stop it hurting. i have currently lost 2 1/2stone but still want to lose 3stone more - i know its not going to happen overnight but i have been b.i.g forever and its going to change!

if you have done WW before then you know what to do. do you exercise? i enjoy swimming but its not for everybody, find something you can do/like and off you go Smile

if youre having a bad day/few days post here - there will always be someone around to talk to ..............

Sn0wflake · 23/09/2010 19:58

aristocat Thank you for the warm welcome and sorry for being slow replying. I was reading the whole thread so far...it's very interesting reading. That we all go through the same self destructive thought processes. I also sometimes obsess about over eating and eat until I feel sick and bloated when on my own, and then sometimes it's a bottle of wine, dominoes and a sex and the city marathon! Not done that in a while.

Anyway I am going swimming once a week but need to increase this. Also pushing the buggy round a lot.

Been good today but have a splitting headache now because not used to limiting the food and dinner is cooking. Think I better have a pain killer.

I'm sending all motivation.

Also hello Bren!

aristocat · 23/09/2010 21:00

hi bren you have done fantastic already Smile ........ didnt see your post before - must have been typing slow so x-posted!

it is true that the last few pounds are the hardest then? congrats on the wedding, was that your incentive to lose weight in the first place?

when i get to where you are i think its a case of probably exercising more and changing your routine

MrsKitty · 23/09/2010 22:56

Hi Bren Smile

Weighed in tonight- Have miraculously lost another 2 1/2 lbs over the past 2 weeks (which included my holiday) so I am very pleased Grin.

I've been baking cakes & sweet things tonight for my DD's 1st Birthday party tomorrow (and she's having another one for family on Sunday...How do I get myself into these multiple celebrations?!) and I've obviously had to do some taste testing Wink. Feeling a wee bit sick now though - eating the last dollop of caramel butter icing off the spoon was a bad idea Blush.

MrsKitty · 23/09/2010 23:01

Puddlepuss If your jeans are falling off you then that's what matters...Weight is just a number, it's the changes to your body that make the real difference. I know that's not how it feels when you get a not so great weight loss after a really good week, and I struggle to believe it myself, but if your jeans are getting too big, you're obviously doing something right Grin.

puddlepuss · 24/09/2010 10:50

Thank you Mrs Kitty. I've always said I'm not going to judge myself by weight but it is sooo rewarding when those numbers get smaller! Still, I have a whole new winter wardrobe this year (when I say new, I mean old but haven't been able to get into for years) so that's a plus Grin.

Congrats on the 2 1/2 pounds - that's a fab amount to lose even without the holiday Smile.

bren66 · 24/09/2010 11:11

Thank you Mrs Kitty and aristocat. I started at WW because my body was failing me and beginning to complain!!! I'm only 5ft 4 with size 4 feet and was carrying 13stone 9pounds. About two stone heavier than I ever was when I was pregnant. My knees and feet were hurting - I think my arches had started to flatten. I saw Dr about my knees and he 'politely' told me that I was carrying too much weight. I can now run up the stairs at work, which is good, but must confess that I haven't increased my exercise. I haven't got anyone to go with. I'm quite shy and I'm living in an area that I didn't grow up in. I have acquantances but my real friends live too far away. I know I have to increase the exercise but... after a long day at work it's too nice to snuggle up on the sofa with my husband and children. Gosh - what a lot of excuses!!!

puddlepuss · 25/09/2010 08:53

I cannot wear jeans without belt! Wooooo!

bren66 · 25/09/2010 09:00

that's brilliant news puddlepuss, congratulations!!!! You must be really pleased. What a fantastic feeling eh?

aristocat · 25/09/2010 10:59

well done puddlepuss - sounds like retail therapy is imminent Grin

puddlepuss · 25/09/2010 11:35

I wish it was! The holiday season is nearly over so no more money coming in for me.... but I do have a massive box of clothes I'm trying to shrink back into so hopefully some of those will feel like new clothes.

bren66 · 25/09/2010 12:36

I found some 'old' clothes that I'd hardly worn and the thrill of trying them on again and the fact that they fitted was probably better than buying new clothes. I'm sure you'll get the same thrill

MrsKitty · 25/09/2010 17:11

WooHoo puddlepuss - well done!

Sn0wflake · 26/09/2010 19:22

Well done puddlepuss. You are giving me inspiration.

puddlepuss · 26/09/2010 19:49

Thank you everyone! Still a long way to go - jeans are a Sainsbury's size 16 - but at least it's going the right way.

Sn0wflake · 27/09/2010 20:23

It will be great when I can get into my 16 clothes again. It's horrible when you have a lot of nice stuff you just can't wear.

HerculesPoirot · 27/09/2010 22:24

Well done puddlepuss - that's fab!

I too dream of being a size 16 again - even my clothes that are too small for me now will be too big then!!! I reckon another 9lbs for me and I'll have a whole new set of clothes to wear just in time for winter.

Managed to stay the same again this week. Must Try Harder.

MrsKitty · 28/09/2010 18:38

Having a rubbish week so far... Was DDs 1st birthday over the weekend so fell into the cake & buffet food trap, and now can't claw my way out of it. Haven't tracked anything since Thursday. Can someone please give me a good kick up the arse?
