aristocat · 11/09/2010 22:44

Hmm not so good here either, went out with girlfriends to celebrate best friends birthday and had curry

was delish though Grin

MrsKitty · 11/09/2010 23:58

Weighed in on Thursday - lost 2 1/2 lbs, bring me to 18 lbs... Grin

Ate everything in sight at a BBQ today though, and am off on holiday tomorrow, so will have to attempt to stick at it...

Limited internet whilst we're away, so I'll be back at the end of the week.

hendo77 · 12/09/2010 09:38

Wow Mrs Kitty - 18lbs that is brilliant! And how much my dd weighs and I think she's heavy - so that means you've lost loads!!!!! Have a lovely holiday.

I just remembered that my old ww teacher used to get us to put stuff equalling the weight we had lost in a rucksack and carry it about for half and hour after we had got past the stone mark. Might try that again if I ever get that far...

Aristocat - I'm pretty sure best friend's birthdays are exempt from healthy eating restrictions so you're fine Wink

MrsKitty · 12/09/2010 10:11

I know - My DD weighs 18lbs too and feels pretty hefty to carry around! Shock.

Got to go now as am supposed to be packing, ready to leave at 11 so I'd best hurry up Wink.

aristocat · 12/09/2010 11:49

well done mrs kitty fantastic effort. have a super holiday.

hendo Grin @ exemption. i also equate my weight loss to DD. she is 4 stone and i have lost more than 1/2 of her already ..... lots more to go though.
keep going and you will be doing the rucksack thing in no time Smile

hendo77 · 13/09/2010 20:26

Well, after all my worrying I lost about another lb so that takes me to 4.5 lbs so far!

silver28 · 13/09/2010 22:04

Well done hendo and mrskitty Smile

puddlepuss · 14/09/2010 10:33

Well done hendo and mrs kitty! 2 stone is amazing aristocat. My jeans are falling down but I haven't got round to weighing myself yet. Fingers crossed they haven't stretched Grin

aristocat · 14/09/2010 14:03

thanks puddlepuss if your jeans are falling down then the scales will tell .....

today i am 12st 13 1/2 so have been jumping around the bedroom happily - next target is 12st Smile

puddlepuss · 14/09/2010 14:23

Woohoooo! I'd love to see those numbers on my scales!

puddlepuss · 17/09/2010 08:23

I still haven't weighed myself (my scales are my WiiFit and we have visitors so it hasn't come out in a while) but I woke up this morning and an inch had disappeared off my hips! I showed dh and he was gobsmacked. No idea how it's happened but I know longer have muffin top bits at the side! Bizarre but good Grin

aristocat · 17/09/2010 13:08

well done puddlepuss

HerculesPoirot · 20/09/2010 19:47

aristocat · 20/09/2010 20:05

i am gutted as have been 13st 1 all week, went under 13st on tuesday but still working at it

puddlepuss · 21/09/2010 12:52

I still haven't got round to weighing myself but things are definitely fitting better. I wish there was a double chin exercising machine though.....

juneybean · 21/09/2010 16:12

I need help :/ I lost my job at the beginning of August and still haven't found one so most days I'm sitting around doing nothing and my weights crept up to 19 stone :(

I'm trying to go swimming but with low self-esteem I hate going places alone and sometimes there's no one available to come with me so I end up not going.

I think I need to cut out my fizzy drinks (drink far too much pepsi max and red bull).

Not really sure what to do about food or which diet to follow.

puddlepuss · 21/09/2010 16:49

juneybean I wish you lived over here - that's exactly why I don't go swimming. I'm not following a diet as I have a very bizarre body that reacts badly to cutting food groups out. I'm just trying to eat smaller amounts of most things and not killing myself if a crumb of chocolate passes my lips. It's definitely the exercise that is making the difference for me.

HerculesPoirot · 21/09/2010 19:42

Hi Juneybean! I know how you feel, I'm the same, although once actually in the water I always feel fine as I think no-one can see. It's just the getting there bit... A good place to start with your food/drink might be just to keep for yourself a really honest diary of everything you have. I find that when I do that, there are always a couple of obvious places to start cutting down. Just an idea... obviously if I was so good at taking my own advice I'd be 6 stone lighter!!!!

aristocat · 21/09/2010 23:20

juneybean welcome Smile i started swimming in June and i love it, i go alone and prefer it that way. i swim my 30 lengths [and sometimes have sauna/steam bath] and come home. i was 15 1/2stone and am now 13 - i am only eating healthy food and swimming 4xweek and the change in me is very obvious.

the only way i think is to find the exercise that suits you and eat healthy food. i have also stopped drinking alcohol Shock

there are lots of low-fat recipes everywhere on the 'net ...... i am an adventurous cook and love to try new recipes all of the time.

hope we can help you, lots of support and motivation here Smile

MrsKitty · 22/09/2010 15:52

Back from holiday! Wasn't very good, food wise, but wasn't as bad as I might have been previously, either, so that's a positive in my book Wink.

Biggest problem was getting back in to the swing of things after we got home... it took 3 days (and an entire dominos pizza worth 50 points Shock) but for the last 3 days I've been back on track, tracking my food & sticking to my points.

Weigh in tomorrow...
