I need to loose half my body weight to be considered a healthy weight.

Started today and would love to support and have the support of others!

Who fancies joining me? Grin

Thank you!

Oh dear, fingers crossed for your sleep. I though my dd was fine, but just had to collect her from childminder and come home as she has a tummy bug still (it seems to come and go) and had gone through her clothes and spare clothes and didn't have much left to wear!!! I was hoping you were going to say, once they get to 12 months they sleep brilliantly....

I'm an old meanie with trick or treaters and usually give them satsumas and/or bubbles! (mostly because I forgot and that was what I had in the house).

MrsKitty · 22/10/2010 20:43

Still not getting any bloody sleep, and DD (who I was planning to wean before my return to work) has gone from 2 feeds (am & bedtime) per day to 5 or 6! Shock. And she's so excited about it, bless her - everytime I pick up a cushion she thinks she's in for a feed Hmm.

Still, all that extra feeding may have done me a favour as I lost 3.5lbs this week Grin.

How's your DD doing Hercules?

Where's everyone else from this thread disappeared to? Hope you're all OK, if you happen to be lurking about!

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 22/10/2010 20:49

Hello! (I was puddlepuss)

I thought I'd lost this thread as it fell off my 'threads I'm on' thingy.

I managed to get into a skirt today that I haven't worn for 7 years. Ok, it was incredibly tight but I managed to wear it all day without fainting Grin

How's your dd Hercules? We're going through chest infections and copious amounts of snot at the moment. I was whinging about it but i'd take snot over d&v anyday. I hope she's improving.

Congrats on the huge loss this week MrsKitty.

MrsKitty · 22/10/2010 21:35

Congratulations on not fainting PsychoDuck Grin. I really need to dig out some smaller clothes as I seem to be spending most of the day hitching my trousers up - not an attractive look Shock. I know I've got some nice size 20 jeans somewhere in this godforsaken tip of a house, but I cannot find them anywhere.

Anyone remember that TV show a few years ago - "Life Laundry"? I need one of those. My house is a disaster, but I'm appallingly bad at letting go of anything 'just in case...'. I can mostly just ignore it, but every so often it really gets me down but just don't know where to start - I feel like I'm on a constant clear out, but never get anywhere with it. Ooh -that's turned into a bit of a whinge, hasn't it?! Obviously I'm in a 'bothered by it' state of mind at the moment Blush.

HerGHOULPoirot · 22/10/2010 22:37

Woohoo on the skirt front PsycoDuck. MrsKitty I also realised today I am hitching my (new) trousers up so going to buy them in the next size down (they were quite cheap luckily!!!) to see if that's any better... Well done on that weightloss, although I did have to giggle at the picking up the cushion face!!!

DD is on the mend now, thanks for asking, took her to doctors in end and she hasn't been allowed much milk for three days, just starting to reintroduce it now watered down quite a lot... poor thing!

I think I am quite good at chucking stuff out, but don't do it often enough! I also always spend ages writing lists before starting which I'm not sure helps and then try to do one room at a time, but unless I have someone else looking after DD or dh here helping I never get anything done... After it is done, I feel so much better, less cluttered in my head if that makes sense, but I can't ever seem to stay on top of it. Currently I have laundry everywhere it seems, my kitchen table is just covered in 'stuff' and I pulled everything out of a wardrobe looking for shoes last Monday and it is all still over the floor and I can't now shut the wardrobe door. DH has the week off so we are going to sort it all out this weekend apparently...

aristocat · 22/10/2010 23:02

sorry been AWOL too ladies ...... i am also happily throwing clothes into charity bags, however i do need to keep buying new stuff!

will check my wardrobe again this weekend too, i am sure i could remove 1/2 of my clothes as no good Shock

looks like we are all doing well ATM - keep up the good work girls Smile

MrsKitty · 23/10/2010 22:23

Pizza Express for lunch. Oops. Blush.

HerGHOULPoirot · 25/10/2010 10:01

It's ok - their pizza's are very thin and tomato sauce is good for you...!!!

Another 1lb this week -very happy so far!

Hope everyone else is good!

MrsKitty · 26/10/2010 22:43

Grin I like your thinking, Hercule. Shame about the bruscetta to start & the ice cream to end, eh? Wink

Well done on another lb off - how many's that now?

HerGHOULPoirot · 27/10/2010 10:11

11.5 since starting this time around. 1 stone 4 from my heaviest first time around! Bruscetta is mostly tomatoes isn't it? Hmmm... ice cream.... mostly milk so full of calcium (clutching at straws emoticon)!!!

cuspish · 29/10/2010 14:47

help! can i join you all? I need to lose about 8 stone :-( or atleast 4. I've done it all before but fallen back and feel so fed up and can't seem to sort myself out ;-(

MrsKitty · 29/10/2010 16:59

Hi Cuspish...course you can join us! Sounds like you're in the same boat as me - I lost 6 stone before hen gained it all back. Going in the right direction now though Grin.

aristocat · 29/10/2010 19:51

welcome cuspish i have lost 3 stone since june but still want to lose 2 or 3 more.
have stalled ATM but must keep going Smile

dont be fed up ...... we are all here to help each other!

HerGHOULPoirot · 29/10/2010 19:59

Hi Cuspish! Come join us... I needed to lose around 7 stone in total from my heaviest. Lost about 3.5 stone, then put about 3 stone of it back one, then had a baby and am now starting to lose again slowly. I've found this thread really useful as I've put it in my 'watched' threads so it reminds me it is there every time I come onto MN which in turn just keeps it at the front of my mind!

Definitely don't be fed up, I started by promising myself not to let a bad meal turn into a bad day or into a bad week if that makes sense and so far that has been working for me!

MrsKitty · 31/10/2010 21:51

Need to get my act together - Am still teetering on the edge of losing control of my diet again... WILL NOT allow myself to gain the weight back , but really need to get on with losing some more.

Found out last week that as of 7 November WW will be completely overhauling the entire programme - even down to the way points are calculated from the sounds of things. Don't know if this'll be a good thing or a bad thing for me, as I know the points system inside out, and am usually a pretty good judge of how many points are in something, even with no nutritional info, but maybe it'll do me good to have to pay more attention to what I'm doing? Time will tell, I suppose...

HerGHOULPoirot · 31/10/2010 22:21

I heard about that too - looks interesting and you are right in that it might make us think about things more again maybe. God I have stuffed my face today and feel bloated and sick. I am not looking forward to tomrrow. All that preaching about not letting a bad mean turn into a bad day has fallen by the wayside today... oh dear.

aristocat · 01/11/2010 13:05

ladies ...... wheres your will-power gone???

i have upped my swim to 40 lengths as from today and i am shattered, however i have got an app with GP this week so trying really hard Smile

HerculesPoirot · 01/11/2010 19:51

It's coming back slowly aristocat... I managed to stay the same this week so at least I didn't did put on.

Well done on the swimming, that's fantastic and good luck with GP appt.

aristocat · 01/11/2010 21:36

HercP i have only lost 1 measly lb in the last few weeks but am not really fed up about it because as you said at least none are going on!

also 2 moms at school told me that i have inspired them?!?! one has taken up swimming and the other has started eating healthy food ..... OMG Hmm

MrsKitty · 01/11/2010 22:28

I've still just about got hold of it, Aristo, I just need to kickstart it again! Grin

MrsKitty · 04/11/2010 20:10

1 1/2 lbs off tonight! That's 29lb now Grin. And I bought a dress in an 18 today Grin. A generously cut woollen dress, mind, but an 18 nonetheless!

HerculesPoirot · 04/11/2010 20:22

WOW - Mrs Kitty that is fantastic! You must be so proud of yourself, well done!!! Dropping dress sizes is always such a nice feeling.

MrsKitty · 04/11/2010 21:13

Thanks Hercules Grin. How are you doing?

aristocat · 04/11/2010 21:31

well done mrsK isnt it the best feeling to move down a size in your clothes Grin
you are doing brilliant!!

my GP was thrilled with me today too and i have another app. to see him in 6wks - thats just before xmas ..... eek Shock

HerculesPoirot · 05/11/2010 13:44

Well done aristo - nice to have your GP be pleased with you! Better than seeing him just after christmas though next time I think!!!

MrsKitty - doing a bit better than last week, but not much. DH goes away with work again on Sunday for the week so going to stock up on easy meals in the freezer ready.... I have however just bought some trousers, same as the ones I bought 4 weeks ago in the size down and can get into them and wear them so that's good! I can't say I've gone down a dress size just yet though as I also have my work trousers in that size and can't get the button to meet at the top let alone do it up!!!!
