So sorry to hear your feeling that rubbish on the 5! I was planning on going up to the 5 next month (just got my second pen at 2.5 advised to em due to other medication currently) as my hunger pangs are subtly coming back and I’m craving chocolate at times which only happened this past week but this isn’t sounding so good. Very good idea about trying to do the inbetween doses I didn’t even know you could do that. I still have so much to learn 😂 I really hope you start to feel better soon. I’m sure you are but make sure you are drinking plenty of water at least to stay hydrated that’s probably lost important and do try eat something basic if you can, oats muxed with protein powder or some eggs, omelette scrambled etc anything.

Thank you!

yes I’m going to look at trying a 3.75mg dose when I feel ready!

Still no hunger at all today, but I’m sipping away at a protein yoghurt pouch, as I figure that will get some goodness and calories in! I can’t believe I’m struggling to eat enough, me 2 months ago would be shocked haha. But I would rather do this slowly and healthily, I have 2 young kids so having no energy is a nightmare.

@Slipperslopey

Hi - it's a horrible feeling isn't it - I am still on 2.5 and I feel nauseous most mornings and last week I found it very difficult to eat on Tues and Wed - I am not eating anywhere near what I used to and this week it seems I have stayed the same weight. I am trying to stay positive as I am mainly on it for medical reasons but have wanted to lose some weight for a while.

I can't go up to 5 - I know I would feel terrible - so I've asked my doctor for a new prescription for 2.5 instead. If I don't get it in time I will start to do the click counting.

I hope it starts to get better for you as it wears off and stay hydrated x

Yes I’m going to drop back down I think, I’d rather take longer on 2.5mg than use 5mg and starve myself there! I need energy for my family so slow and steady is the way. Lesson learned!

I’m half way through my 5th week now on Wegovy. 7lb lost total.
I am really interested to see if the weight will continue to drop. I’ve always managed to lose the first few lbs and then get stuck, at which point I usually think ‘f* it and I give up.
a lot of this has been in the mind for me.
I do feel full quicker and thus eat smaller portions and I watch my protein. It’s not a magic fix though I still can’t stuff my face full of cake and then expect to lose weight. I’m trying to make more sensible choices and not eat too late at night.

Really appreciate having an accountability thread, I haven’t told anyone IRL yet.

I'm on my 4th jab this week, I haven't lost any weight this week but I have been exercising, so maybe I'm building some muscle!
I think losing slowly and steadily, changing my mindset around food and exercise is the most important thing. I'm really enjoying not being obsessed with food like a hysterical toddler constantly wanting snacks!!
One thing I've noticed on my smart watch is that my 'body battery' used to get really low and since starting MJ it's definitely a lot higher, especially at the end of the day. Body battery measures heart rate variability so that must be improved.

bungobungobungo · 12/10/2026 22:28

2nd jab today, and all is well. Not much of an appetite and therefore not really thinking about food. Apart from a bit of indigestion mainly during the night it’s been ok.

Gizmosgremlins · 12/10/2026 23:03

Hi all. Sorry to those struggling badly with side effects. Ive been there and it's no fun at all. I'm on my 6th jab now of 2.5mg. I had thought about moving up as I found myself snacking a lot more last week but this week I'm back to feeling quite naseous so going to stick with slow and steady and hope that works. I'm definitely getting decent suppression and I have to remind myself its okay to still feel hungry and have some snacks. I would say my 'bad choices' around food and drink have been reduced by about 80% which is amazing. Massively reduced the amount of alcohol from 2 or 3 bottles a week to 3 glasses over the month. That can only be a good thing.

Last week when I found myself snacking more I had injected into my thigh. Definitely seem to get better suppression but also more side effects when I inject into my tummy.

InevitableDownwardSpiral · 13/10/2026 07:58

End of week 6 and another 1.4lb off which actually surprised me as I'd been feeling like it wasn't doing much this week. I've been thinking about food more and even waking up hungry which had gone away when I started the jab.

I need to order my next pen soon and was thinking I'd go up to 5mg this time but now I'm not sure. I guess I'll see how I get on this week but I don't think I'll go up if I'm still losing, I'm happy with the lack of side effects and that I can still eat a normal enough portion that nobody has noticed.

I also haven't told anyone except my husband in real life so really appreciate reading everyone's experiences on here!

Starting weight 194.4 lbs (1st September)
Current weight 183.0 lbs

Week 1 -4lb
Week 2 -2.6lb
Week 3 +0.6lb
Week 4 -3.4lb
Week 5 -0.6lb
Week 6 -1.4lb

Total loss -11.4lb

I’ve always used the thigh. Feeling a bit anxious this week about the next few weeks. Very sadly have a bereavement coming due to terminal illness. So I feel very out of sorts, out of routine and a bit lost. Which is nothing to do with wli but I don’t know. It just all feels a bit complicated.

TeddyBeans · 13/10/2026 20:15

Sorry to hear that @Berengariaoftheverylowcountries 💐 sending much love ❤️

InevitableDownwardSpiral · 13/10/2026 20:40

I’m so sorry @BerengariaoftheverylowcountriesI hope you have much love and support around you 💐

hopefully one of the good things about the WLIs is that they take care of all the food noise that can come with difficult emotional times but please do make sure you take care of yourself too x

I’ve only injected in my belly, but have bruised the last two times. I’ve been wondering about switching to my thigh but it freaks me out for some reason!

TeddyBeans · 14/10/2026 19:11

Little win today! One of the ladies at work noticed I've lost weight 😁 she said I'm looking slimmer and very healthy 🥳🥳

Eyelashesoffire · 14/10/2026 21:07

I'm the opposite, I can't do my belly for some reason but my thigh is fine! It's interesting to hear people find a difference, I might be brave and try my belly...

Jab no 3 & weigh in for me this evening. Not holding out much hope in the way of a loss as I have been quite hungry this week & had a lot of food noise as I get nearer to my jab day.

How long does it seem to last for people? I jab on Thursday evening & am only good until Monday when the food noise & hunger starts to come back. 3 days doesn't seem very long, not sure if i'm just getting used it or if maybe i'm not eating quite enough

Shedmistress · 15/10/2026 10:47

5th jab tomorrow, it seems I can just unscrew the pen to get at it, nothing seems to be stopping it so I guess I'll find out in the morning if I can do it or not.

Yesterday which should be my 'biggest meal of the week' day, and no, I cannot tolerate even just a tin of soup with some crackers. Have to stick to half a tin going forward.

LostThestral · 15/10/2026 10:49

are you still on 2.5 @Shedmistress ?

Yes, last 2.5 tomorrow. Then might do 3.0 next week or might just stay at this.

Berengariaoftheverylowcountries · 15/10/2026 13:32

Thank you all. Stupidly weighed today as away at the end of the week for the aforementioned family reasons and I’m not really down on last week so feeling a bit flat about that too. I am sure I’m eating a deficit so just need to trust the process I guess. Going up to 5 the weekend after next.

LostThestral · 15/10/2026 19:31

Second weigh in done & 3rd jab

week 1 - 8ibs down
week 2 - 2.5ibs down

happy with a more healthy loss this week, I prefer to do it slow & consistent for as long as possible

Shedmistress · 16/10/2026 08:59

5th jab, the rest of the dose in the pen which is more or less 2.5mg. Taken at 6:30 this morning.

Do not feel sick! Have eaten breakfast!

Another 1kg down on last Friday, so have reached 5.3% loss.

Going to stick at the 2.5 until it stops working.

A question, I was given a sharps container by the pharmacy. I assume they want me to keep it until it is full and not take it back each time I get a new prescription?

Yes I'd keep it until it's full. I managed to lock mine almost instantly I opened the box! The instructions telling you not to do this were so tiny I'd need a magnifying glass to see them.

Eyelashesoffire · 16/10/2026 11:02

I'm planning to try and get the golden dose out of my 2.5 pen this weekend. I've got the syringes people recommend, if it goes wrong I've got my new pen in the fridge.

I'm still getting some appetite suppression on 2.5, though it's not as strong. But I'm slowly losing weight and less interested in snacking so I'm going to try and stay on 2.5 hopefully.

What exercise are you all doing? I've heard if you keep exercising then you're more likely to maintain the weight loss. I've definitely got a bit more energy and motivation so I've started a weights class, which is way out of my comfort zone but I'm mostly enjoying it. I'm still a liability on a yoga ball doing a "skull crusher" move with weights!! 😱 I'm still doing yoga but it's very gentle and I need a bit more work. I'd love to get back to running (well jogging is probably a better description or shuffling at speed🤣) but that might be a bit ambitious! Maybe I'll try Couch25k again.

I've got much less appetite suppression now, I'm approaching jab 5. I'm ok with it as although I feel peckish a lot, it's really easy for me to forget about it or just not be bothered about eating. That's what I struggled with before, not being able to tolerate being hungry at all.
I jab on Sundays and yesterday (Thurs) I got trapped at my DD's parents evening and I was absolutely starving by the end, literally feeling faint. In the past I'd have to have left and got food, I'd have been really upset. But yesterday I didn't have the emotional reaction, even though physically I felt pretty dreadful. Mj is totally worth it for me just for that.

LostThestral · 16/10/2026 16:19

@Eyelashesoffire - I do zumba twice a week & yoga twice a week but the yoga class is gently so also need to do more.

I know I need to do strength training but hate going to the gym so wondering if other types of exercise count such as walking ?
