Well I'm still just about keeping under 15 stone
I've done my back in ..must of twisted or something
Been painting the house ,was doing ceiling at the time
Got given Co codamol and had a bad reaction, ended up with community hospital at 10 pm
So waiting to see if they give me something different
Me and medication do not seem to get on ....
Thank goodness I've have no side effects from monjroro...touch wood

Springflowers2 · 29/09/2026 10:11

I should of renewed my pen this week..but I've put it of till next week
Thinking of going back up to 15 mg ..extra £30.
I only want 2 more stone of
If I can get under 13 stone and stay there ,I'm going to call it a day ..
I think I'm going to ask to go up to 15 mg
And get on the rowing machine, and bike and step up swimming..see if I can get this two stone of and on to a maintenance dose
But I need my back to stop playing up ..and get with the plan

SilenceInside · 29/09/2026 10:12

@Springflowers2 ouch for the back, and how unlucky to then have a bad reaction to the cocodamol too. Hopefully you'll be prescribed something that helps with the pain and doesn't cause any other issues for you.

@PearlsTeapot I am thinking of you, I think we are all behind you wishing you the best Flowers Flowers

MCR24 · 29/09/2026 11:14

I'm dreading weighing after my holiday! I've eaten a lot more than I would at home but I've not eaten too much 'bad' food I don't think.

I'll be doing a re-set of eating when I get home. I'd liked to have joined in some of the aqua classes on holiday but the pool was just too cold!

PearlsTeapot · 29/09/2026 13:25

Thank you everyone for being so kind. I really appreciate it. It’s so hard being so far away from home.

and on a superficial point, having no control over my food and no exercise. But that’s the least of my worries for now.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 29/09/2026 13:45

@PearlsTeapot so sorry to hear you are back in hospital, it must be hard being so far from your family and I know the loss of control over the food is a challenge too - make sure you do whatever is needed for your recovery though, the MJ journey isn’t top priority right now.

@Foolish1984 some will have had quicker initial losses but for me at least the thing with Mounjaro has been the ability to sustain the losses slowly but surely over the extended period needed to drop the 10+ stone we on this thread have. I’m 16 months in and would never have been able to stick at it on any diet for so long. To start with the weight loss doesn’t show so it’s easy to get frustrated at not feeling progress, but stick at it and you’ll soon be dropping clothes sizes and feeling different.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/09/2026 13:46

I'm sorry about your back @Springflowers2 and I hope it gets better soon.
Have you tried those sprays which are freezing cold? I find they really help.

THIS is the one I use.

@PearlsTeapot So sorry to hear you’re back in hospital. Sending you support and 💐.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 29/09/2026 16:33

It's jab/weigh day for me again tomorrow. I have my first 5 mg pen sat in the fridge but it looks like I might not be needing to go up after all. Looks like my weight stall for the past few weeks was down to starting taking melatonin to help me sleep. It doesn't help me sleep, but it does make me hungover the next day, which makes me hungrier. I've stopped taking it now. If I lose tomorrow I think I'll stay on 2.5 mg.

TragicMuse · 29/09/2026 17:11

Foolish1984 · 29/09/2026 10:05

I never said nor implied it was a competition??? I’m just as entitled to share my experience here as you are or anyone else, surely?

There’s no need to be defensive or combative.

The narrative around MJ is one of massive losses very quickly. That’s not the case for everyone. The narrative around weightloss and women’s bodies is one of constant and relentless comparison. It’s hard to break that mindset, and it’s hard to do the work and feel like you didn’t get the reward.

I’m sorry you’re disappointed with your results.

Like I said, ease up on yourself.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 30/09/2026 10:36

I've gone up 0.9 kg.

I'm trying not to be too downhearted about it as I don't think it's a genuine gain. I have my annual osteoporosis medicine drip today so have been force feeding myself water for the past 24 hours. I've drunk 4 litres extra so far so I'm hoping it's all water weight.

SilenceInside · 30/09/2026 10:51

@MrTiddlesTheCat it won't be a genuine gain of fat, especially if you are madly hydrating at the moment. I'm sure it will drop off and settle back down over the next week or two. Hope the drip process goes well for you today. Flowers

user593 · 30/09/2026 11:40

I’m still hovering around 95-95.8kg which is incredibly annoying. Today I’m 95.1kg. I’d love to see 94 something! It’s been this way for at least 3 weeks when I’d normally lose 1-2kg a week.

I’ve just stored away all my nicer summer clothes though, size 18-20, I’ve already donated the stuff I didn’t love. I’m hoping to never see it again (well, except for when I haul it off to the charity shop!), and perhaps it’s a bad omen to hang onto it at all, but I feel fairly confident that I won’t need them next summer. Looking forward to wearing all the lovely pieces I’ve bought for autumn/ winter ☺️

Foolish1984 · 28/09/2026 16:15

I’ll be on week 7 as of tomorrow and I’ve only lost one stone exactly 🫩 I’ve definitely had suppression and tbh have barely been eating enough to sustain myself, along with making big changes to what I eat and increasing exercise. Yet all I’ve lost is 1 stone?! Very close to giving up. I’m paying an absolute fortune, but for what exactly? Bigger bloody all

You are losing weight at a normal and sustainable rate. You have had a good 6 weeks, I’m not sure why you are seeing it as a negative experience. Keep going, one stone will turn into one and a half, then 2, then two and a half…

Springflowers2 · 30/09/2026 12:03

My back is still bad
But I've ordered a stepper..with handles..
So I can try to get some steps in while I'm at home
I think extra exercise is the way forward for me

Springflowers2 · 30/09/2026 12:06

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne
I've ordered that spray you recommend..thanks for the tip off .
Fingers crossed it helps
I'm back on naproxen...not sure it's a good idea ..but have omeprazole as well this time ..so fingers crossed
I'm literally half way through my painting of the stairs..I've so much to do ,every time I try to get up and do some...my back goes nope

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 30/09/2026 12:21

I'm another one who is in a frustrating stall. No change last week, and virtually no change so far this week, despite sticking to my calories (between 12-1400 against a TDEE of 1750). I really hope it starts moving soon!

Ketra · 30/09/2026 13:00

I wouldn't class my situation as a stall but it's definitely frustrating - went from losing 8-9 pounds a month to 6, held that for a few months and last month lost 3 pounds. I know a loss is still a loss and I've lost 9.5 stone so far, but it's frustrating how much it slows down once you are a year in.

SilenceInside · 30/09/2026 14:55

Slow or no losses is very frustrating! I can barely remember the early days now where I would lose a decent chunk each week. Any loss is a thrill these days after two plus years, even if it’s only 0.1 or 0.2kg.

Can I have an indulgent whinge about periods? I am so fed up of them. I am nearer to 50 than 40 and have zero sign of any kind of menopause related changes. Just the same constant annoyance every month. It’s usually heavy for 2 or 3 days, and painful even with all the usual measures taken. I couldn’t concentrate on work today because of the pain. Thankfully I WFH and am trusted with my time so no one cares if I slack a bit as long as I get done what needs doing. But I just couldn’t sit in my work chair today, cos of the back pain and cramps.

Before my pregnancies, my periods were lighter, shorter and less painful. I don’t know if it’s common for that to change afterwards? Or if c sections affect things. Anyway, it will be alright again by Friday so it at least won’t ruin my weekend!

user593 · 30/09/2026 15:03

@SilenceInside I feel for you! I used to have terrible periods when I was younger. They were, if anything, lighter after my pregnancies but I have a coil now and rarely get one at all which is fabulous. Have you tried a coil?

Springflowers2 · 30/09/2026 15:12

@SilenceInside ..I hope you feel better soon ..roll on menopause xx

SilenceInside · 30/09/2026 15:23

I wouldn’t have a coil, no, there are various reasons why not. I know lots of women like them though.

Sometimes I worry that I’ve got another 5 to 10 years of this! I really hope not 😬

4 litres of water weighs 4 kilos so even if you have only weed half of it out you're going to be heavier until it's all gone!
