I feel I may be on my own on this and a bit of an outlier but I've very much come to the conclusion that my suppression gets stronger as the week goes on (I jab Saturdays) Thursdays and Fridays (esp Fridays) are my easiest days by far, could literally eat nothing and I wouldn't be bothered (I do eat obvs, I'm boringly routine with my diet and most days are pretty similar food wise)

Most people's MJ seems to wane towards the end of the week hence some of you on a 5 day schedule; I have no idea why I seem to be the opposite! Might ask Chat GPT

Yep ..same here ..
Like the first few days after jabbing are the hardest..then it gets easier before it starts to wear off ..must take longer to settle in to our bodies

Fffreeeeezing · 23/09/2026 13:13

@Springflowers2 that makes me feel better that it's not just me, some would say we're lucky! I do wonder if I could leave bigger gaps between the doses...... too scared to try it though 🤣

This is an interesting question @PuzzledObserver but not one I've really given a great deal of thought to, honestly! I know intellectually that's it is a massive change to have shed 44% of my bodyweight in 16 months, but I'm not sure I feel very different! I guess I'm happier, and have more energy.

Oh, that’s interesting.

I alternate between feeling utterly delighted at the change - for me, energy, but also just physical comfort. It was only when I began to approach a more normal size that I realised just how much my size was impacting my wellbeing and my ability to function in life.

That’s one side…. And the other side is, a lingering dissatisfaction that I’m still not “there”….. and accepting that even if I do get “there” from the weight point of view, I will not and can not have the body I used to dream of as a fat teenager buying clothes in Evans Outsize Store, where all my friends shopped at Top Shop.

I can be fit, healthy, and muscular. But I will never have the body of an athlete. I am 62 years old and my skin has been through too much. So, these are thoughts I have, and I have done a bit of grieving over that.

But mostly I am too busy being utterly delighted at all the things I can now do which I could not do before.

Missingducks · 25/09/2026 09:55

There's hope folks, there is hope that I will be under 18stones by the time I go away next month to drink my body-weight in fine wines and nibble on an olive. I am going to meet up with my friend (since the mid 80s) who in all that time has always been glam and gorgeous and well-put-together. I shall still be twice her size, but no longer three times!

user593 · 25/09/2026 10:01

My suppression is always at its peak 2-3 days in and then it definitely wanes towards the end of the week, which works out nicely as that means I can enjoy a bit more food with my family on the weekend, and now it’s getting colder I’m doing Sunday roasts again.

I’ve finally managed to make some progress on the scales after nearly three weeks of bobbing around. Hoping it doesn’t go back on, but feeling OK with it all. I know I’ll get there in the end, even if things slow down and it takes me a year to shift this last 25kg.

I’m now 95kg on the nose with exactly 25kg to go. Just under 53kg lost in a little under 10 months (with two 2-week holiday breaks). I’m super pleased with that so can’t be too upset with things slowing down.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 25/09/2026 13:36

Checking in after a hectic few weeks, I’ve moved 400 miles and am going back to uni! Weight loss has been pretty slow but steady and I’m now firmly at BMI 29 and in the 12 sts so feels like the home straight, I am aiming for around 27.

Any tips on stopping persistent diarrhoea though 😩. I tried increasing my dose from 4.5mg to 4.75mg and after 3 weeks / doses my digestive system seems to have gone into overdrive. I can stop it for a day with loperamide but it comes back the next morning. I tried not taking the loperamide for a couple of days and was on the toilet 8-10 times. I’m eating basically the BRAT diet (so toast, rice, potatoes with plain chicken or white fish and bananas) and only drinking water, herbal tea or dioralyte. I haven’t taken the next MJ dose yet so it’s been 10 days since I jabbed.

I spoke to my provider but they told me to go to the GP… but I don’t have my GP near me and don’t want to move them to the new location really as I’ll be home for holidays and have repeated prescriptions on the go. I can do a phone consult but I suspect they will want a specimen 🤢

Help! Any ideas? I feel perfectly well, just need to stop dashing to the loo!

Whenever I have this problem it’s because I’ve either eaten too late in the evening or eaten the wrong kind of food (anything oily, and random other things I’ve learnt over time to avoid) or simply eaten too much. I hope you get it figured out!

TragicMuse · 26/09/2026 08:32

I have an NSV!

I’m off out for the day and am wearing Levi’s Ribcage jeans and a plain white t-shirt. The t-shirt is tucked in. I look normal! It’s a classic combination and I love it. And I look normal!

Subsidiary is that my bag straps fit over my shoulder when they didn’t used to.

I feel classic and chic.

God, it’s wonderful!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 26/09/2026 08:46

I've stayed the same this week and I don't really understand why. I've been within my calories, no hormonal fluctuations that I can think of, so not sure what's going on. Hopefully it's just a blip and the scales will start moving next week, but it's quite annoying!

Castlebark · 26/09/2026 16:50

Week 32 weigh in, gutted it's a small gain, 0.1kg up.

SW 122.7 kg (19 st 4 lb)
CW 95.8 kg (15 st 1 lb)

I've starting totalling my losses for each 4 week period, and it's really tapered off:
Week 4 - 6.8kg
Week 8 - 5.3kg
Week 12 - 3.2kg
Week 16 - 3.0kg
Week 20 - 2.7kg
Week 24 - 2.5kg (holiday)
Week 28 - 1.8kg (operation)
Week 32 - 1.6kg

Technically I'm still recovering from the op, so can't swim or run yet, but I haven't run for several yeas, so I can't really blame that! 😂

It's really the snacking that's doing me in. I am back to grazing all day, even with eating a high protein breakfast and lunch.

I've bobbed up and down between 5 and 7.5. Having just done 4 weeks on 7.5, I guess I'll have to go up to 10mg next week.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 26/09/2026 23:52

waves

I've read up and it is good to read people's news. Thinking especially of @OvertiredandConfused so sorry to hear your diagnosis andthat it will be a tricky time ahead. I am pleased for you its the "least worst" though.

I love reading the NSV (and the SV!)

I went up to 12mg and finding it quite " a lot". I am exhausted on Saturdays and just losing the day (but work is also quite stressful).

But finally movement after a 6-7 week stall! And I'm pretty much on bmi 25 - goes v sightly down for a day or two then just above.

It feels like I'll end up stopping here for a bit - but the last few weeks movement has given me hope again and I really hope to lose that last bit and hopefully reduce.

I am so close to being into "healthy"!!! Although my waist is over twice my height and still a lot of stomach fat there.

I've bought some smaller clothes from a shop too!

I've had to stop the exercise though due to "foot drop" (started another thread) which is worrying me as I think weight loss related and I am scared could be permanent. Will see MSK at the surgery soon...

MoneyJo · 27/09/2026 08:26

Just copying this to here from another thread in case anyone is using MMP.

Has anyone ordered from Medicine Marketplace lately? I did last month before their price drop. It was amazing - I placed the order about 6pm one day and it arrived in the post the next day. This time I placed the order on Tuesday and have had no communication. For the last two days it has said "Processing" but no response when I've filled in the communication form twice.
The money left my account on Thursday.

SilenceInside · 27/09/2026 08:32

Argh, I hope they’re not having issues. I ordered with them for the first time after their price drop. I did the video and ID stuff very promptly and the order was approved and sent out very quickly. I need to reorder this week…

Fffreeeeezing · 27/09/2026 11:29

I ordered from them last weekend and it arrived on the Tuesday as it has every single time (I always order on a Saturday) I ordered 2 pens this time as it was the first time MMP have offered bundles, I've been using MMP for 18 months, could never be arsed to swap around.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/09/2026 11:36

My MMP pen has been issued after one day and it'll arrive tomorrow.

I've had to get my bank to refund me the cost of the pen I ordered from Your Medicals on 20th AUGUST which was never in stock and never arrived. Their customer service is shocking, too.

Fffreeeeezing · 27/09/2026 11:42

I've had an unusually poor September scale wise, total loss of 4lb which means I leave the month on a total loss of 155lb/11st1/70kg.

I'm leaving the month at 14st8/92.5kg BMI 33.9

I did receive a few clothes orders yesterday and everything was optimistically a size 14 and unexpectedly it all fits absolutely fine, even the jeans although as usual, jeans are slightly too long and tops slightly too short, proportionally I'm the wrong way round, I wish my legs were bloody longer rather than my torso! So I think I am officially in the 14's.

Bizarrely I went in a 'normal' clothes shop earlier in the week and the few items I liked, weren't available in a small enough size, that's a first!

Newmummy343 · 27/09/2026 12:38

Hi, not written here in a while. I was doing so well got down to 12 stone 6, just 5 pounds away from no longer obese. Then had an event on and since then i've spiralled and binge ate etc. I was on 12.5mg but that didn't stop me.

I ended up going back up to 13.2. I've now gone up to 15mg and managed to gain control and I'm back to 12.11. Got 10 pounds to get out of obese and I'm hoping if I can knuckle down i'll get there by end of October.

It's just a life long battle isn't it. I find it sad even on the jag I can binge eat 😭

I’m going to try jabbing every 5 days this week to see if I can get back to losing 1lb per week. I’m away on a cruise in just over 3 weeks and would be thrilled if I can get to 12st7 by the time we go. I won’t jab while I’m away but only away a week.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 27/09/2026 15:00

I am likely to use MMP next time
I love pharmulous and have stuck with them for a year but .... the discount is huge on 2 x 15 so will do that of offer still on (would do it now if I had any money!)

Im hoping they are paving the way for a reduction in general. I think it basically just works out the cost without the 5th dose...

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 27/09/2026 15:16

I was looking at MMP to order from next week, but a couple of other pharmacies have excellent deals on for 5mg (I'm taking 6.25mg from a 5mg pen at the moment but have enough spare to allow me to keep ordering 5mg for a while). So I think I'll order from them if the deal is still on when I come to order. Even looking at cost per dose it works out almost the same as buying a 7.5mg pen from MMP.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 27/09/2026 16:35

For 15 pens its £50 cheaper so for 2 pens its £100 cheaper!!

I am taking 12mg from them at the moment but so so hoping to be able to reduce in time...

I didknow weight loss slowed down - just hadn't twigged how long this stage would take!

wendywoopywoo222 · 28/09/2026 13:12

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden. This end bit is taking me so long. I’m 11 pound away from 12 stone which is my end target. I’m losing about 1lb a month at the moment.
