@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden congratulations on the woosh! I hope it sticks for you.

@TragicMuse I am right there with you, it’s very slow progress when close to target. I want to be consistently in the low tens but it’s much harder work than dropping down from 22st to 12st!

@Theringcycle I’ve not heard of Kitty Joseph so will check them out, it’s always interesting to investigate a new clothes shop. It’s so satisfying to finally feel it’s worth getting the clothes you really want. I had been obsessing about Disturbia and Hell Bunny for years and never felt it was worth buying anything other than accessories. But now I’ve got the specific things I was eyeing up for so long and it’s very gratifying. Your planned occasions sound like a fab opportunity to wear all your new things.

@Billybingbong commiserations on the 2lb gain. I’m sure it will be off again soon.

@RenegadeKeeblerElf fingers crossed for your weigh in tomorrow. It’s great to know that there will always be scrubs that will fit or will do, rather than have the panic and stress of trying to find something to squeeze into.

SilenceInside · 04/09/2026 22:24

It was jab today for me, currently on 12.5mg. I’ve got the new style pens with no leftover dose after four normal ones. Today would have been the fifth dose, but now there isn’t enough left for a full dose. So I extracted what I could from the pen with a syringe and managed to get 0.3ml out which was a bit more than I expected. I injected that plus 30 clicks from my next pen to make a full dose. That should mean that at the end of the new pen I should have 0.6ml left for another full dose. So an extra dose every other pen rather than on every pen. Is anyone else doing similar?

MoneyJo · 04/09/2026 22:35

Interesting @SilenceInside I've been microdosing and have definitely had more than I expected but not noted how much

SilenceInside · 04/09/2026 22:41

I try to be very cautious when priming and don’t prime if I can already see a drop of liquid on the needle. If I need to prime I only turn to the first click.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 05/09/2026 00:36

@SilenceInside I never prime anymore.
I just always use the pen with separate needles and syringes.
I'm nearly at the end of my first pen which lacks the bonus dose, so I'll report back on how much I got out.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 05/09/2026 08:02

I'm taking 6.25mg from a 5mg pen, so would expect to get just over 3 doses from the new pens. But for a while now I've been combining the end of one pen with the start of the next to get the right dose. Since I don't ever start with a full pen I don't really know how much extra I'm getting from each pen, but it seems to be working OK.

Fffreeeeezing · 05/09/2026 12:24

Week 78 and 3lb off bringing me to a lovely round amount of exactly 11stone off 🎈🎈🎊

I am sooooo looking forward to losing that next 5lb so I will be under 200lb, that feels like a big milestone for me!

25lb until I reach my initial goal of 12st12 (BMI<30) and then I will be in the never anticipated position of weighing less than I have lost, that's a bizarre thought!

Well done to all the rest of you who are still hanging in there and not giving in 💐

Mounjaro - 10 stone or more to lose - Thread 15.
MoneyJo · 05/09/2026 13:18

Amazing @Fffreeeeezing

I went up to 9.5 today, mainly because my 10mg pen has just less than 2 doses left so I thought if I do 9.5 today I should have between 9.5 and 10 left for next week. Today is my 6 month anniversary and I'm 3 stone down.

How quickly do you find your jab kicks in? I feel like I physically couldn't eat any lunch, and I never eat breakfast but I don't know if that's psychological or physical after taking a bigger dose 2 hours ago.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 05/09/2026 13:21

Well I was right about my gain this week, although I wasn't expecting a whole kilo. I'll see how this week goes and if I gain again I'll go back to calorie counting. As much as I'm enjoying relaxing the pressure to lose, I'm very conscious that it will be very easy to go from there to a pattern of gaining so I need to stay on top of things.

@MoneyJo I suppose different people could absorb the medication at different rates, the guidance says 8 to 72 hours for full effect. I know that I have had suppression by lunchtime after injecting in the morning, I feel that less so these days after being on it for so long,

Fffreeeeezing · 05/09/2026 14:04

@MoneyJoI inject on Saturday afternoons and some weeks it kicks in by Sunday afternoon but I don't tend to get full effect until the Monday. Mine doesn't seem to wear off anymore at the end of the week either.

I could probably stretch out longer than a week to be honest but I don't want to start messing around with the schedule whilst I'm still consistently losing month on month.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 05/09/2026 14:15

I inject on a Friday night and I wake up Saturday morning with no food noise and not wanting breakfast. But I do find that Sunday is probably my peak day for supression and side effects.

MoneyJo · 05/09/2026 14:19

Thanks usually for me it's been about 24 hours too so I think this is probably psychological after upping my dose. I'd better have some cottage cheese or something.

EnterSandfan · 05/09/2026 15:01

OMG, after hovering at the same weight for ages I've had a 4lb whoosh this week and it's dropped me just into being only 'overweight' 😭 I can't believe it really, I've never been out of the obese category! My heaviest weight I was obese class 3 and I wasn't even on the chart. It doesn't seem real!

Also a very random NSV- my son was swinging off a net at a kids play area, I tried it and I actually managed to deadhang! Tried again the other day and did it again, I've never ever managed to do it even for a nanosecond in the past, not even when I was lifting weights most days in my late 20s! I must be stronger than I think because Google says for my height and weight I still shouldn't be able to do it, it reckons I'd need to lose 30 more lbs to hang at all. I'm shocked!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 05/09/2026 16:12

@EnterSandfan woohoo for being overweight!! I've been tantalisingly close for a while now, hopefully it will come soon.

My NSV today is I bought a couple of lovely things in charity shops today - a gorgeous jumper and a Joules jacket, both in a size 14!! I haven't tried the jumper on yet, but the jacket fits beautifully (maybe a tad snug but that just means it will fit for longer!). I love being able to shop so easily!

TragicMuse · 05/09/2026 17:08

Well done losers!

I went shopping again! Bought a couple of tops from Primark and ordered another which wasn’t in stock in the size I wanted.

I’m with you @RenegadeKeeblerElf it’s all just so easy isn’t it?!

MoneyJo · 05/09/2026 17:09

I love being able to shop so easily!

Just this @RenegadeKeeblerElf I used to panic about forgetting anything in terms of clothes / underwear etc if we went away because I knew I couldn't just pop into a shop and pick up a replacement. I'm already not worried about that any more.

52soon · 05/09/2026 17:19

I have a huge NSV for me today, I ordered some suede below knee boots from Asda size5 and they only bloody fit my calf and a size 12 dress and that fits! I really can’t believe it my BMI is still 34 CW 12st12lb. BMI was 47 when I started 71 weeks ago. I think my target weight is going to be 11stone which will take me to 29BMI. NHS says I should be between 7stone-9st7lb but that seems too low to me.

Great stuff!! I am still just in Obese Class 3 and let me tell you there will be some celebration when I click out of that after decades! Re the swinging off the net, recently we went on a holiday that had some activities and I didn’t do them yet BUT I am under the weight limit which I wouldn’t have been for years.

Theringcycle · 06/09/2026 10:20

Is this a NSV - sleeping on my back? I never used to sleep on my back because I didn’t find it comfortable on my airway / neck no matter what I did with the pillows. Could it be that losing some weight (37 pounds which when I write it sounds a lot but I also kind of feel I’m only starting as I have so much to go) makes a difference?

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 06/09/2026 10:47

I was thinking about some of your comments about when the jab kicks in and realised for me it’s all just about when the side effects kick in, which is usually about 48hours after - more gastritis pain and stomach issues, diarrhoea etc. I don’t really notice suppression but I definitely get full sooner.

i was reading some of those inane comments about how it’s all cheating and so easy, a quick win etc on X (bad idea I know) and think they have no idea. This really has been an endurance exercise for me, 16months of it, but I’m sooo close to 9 stone loss now and my BMI is 29.6 today. Has it been worth it? Absolutely. Im targeting January to start moving to maintenance, whatever weight I am by then, but let’s see how I feel when I’m there.

Yep
I inject the last of the pen to
No where near a normal full 5 th dose
But a definite bit extra and worth doing

Doing the same .. definitely worth doing

So my 11 days dabble with prozac ,had me back up to 15 stone thanks to the constant chocolate cravings
Now it seems to be on the way out of my system...god it hangs around a long time ...no more eating chocolate.. thank goodness
Weight down to 14. 9
New pen in the fridge ,gone up to 12 mg .
Still fuzzy and can't think straight, and ritalin still not working..
Back to exercising 5 days a week ..all chocolate completely out of the house
The slowness of my weight loss now ..is soo frustrating.
Never mind ..better than gaining

Theringcycle · 06/09/2026 19:47

Hang on in there @Springflowers2 - sometimes the only way out is through xx
