That's great thanks Silence. I have a walk pad but I need to find the remote. My two go back to uni in a couple of weeks and I feel like I'll have more time to do more walking then. I'm probably using that as an excuse!

TragicMuse · 02/09/2026 11:11

@MoneyJo I did 7.5mg for around 4 months, June to October last year.

Then I went to 10mg and have been on that ever since with occasional goes at 12.5mg but it’s felt a bit too much. So I stay on 10mg but do that every 5 days.

That seems to be my sweet spot.

10mg might work better for you too…

MoneyJo · 02/09/2026 11:22

Thank you @TragicMuse I will give it a go.

Good point @Fffreeeeezing

I guess a bit is the cost but I know it's a waste of money if I pay and it's not doing much so I'm happy to pay more as needed.

The main reason is that I'm afraid of moving up too fast, getting to 15 and then that becoming less potent and having nowhere more to go. I also thought I would be fine for a few months on 7.5 and am surprised not to be.

I guess I'll move up! Thanks.

Do move up.
You can always move back down again.

Also - don't forget that a loss of 1lb a week is normal. It's to be expected after you've lost quite a few stone to start with.

In the last year, I lost 2 stone; but in the 18 months before that, I lost 8 and a half stone.

Weight loss always slows down, and there will be weeks where you lose nothing. That's normal, too.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 02/09/2026 11:55

Just to add regarding exercise - it's not only a benefit in terms of the calories burned while you are actually exercising- muscle has a higher metabolic rate than fat, so increasing your muscle mass will also increase the amount of calories you burn when you aren't actively exercising (she says, having been incredibly lazy all summer!!).

Nsv, I went into a charity shop earlier I saw a skirt I quite liked but it was a size 6.

I went a bit mad and thought I'd try it on out of curiosity. It actually went on, it was very tight but did fasten! It's unbelievable that it went round my legs, never mind hips and waist 🤯

Skirt hopefully here!

MCR24 · 02/09/2026 20:40

Never mind the link won't work to the skirt!

SilenceInside · 02/09/2026 20:41

I saw the skirt and I can still see it via the link. It’s quite short!

PearlsTeapot · 02/09/2026 21:03

Did you buy it? Must have felt amazing 😻

MCR24 · 02/09/2026 21:52

@SilenceInside ohhh it was just taking me to the general website rather than to the item! It was very short 🤣 I was just curious and on my own so I thought I'd give it a go when there was no one else with me.

@PearlsTeapot no I didn't buy it, it was too tight to actually wear and I've been hovering at this weight for a while so I don't think I'm gonna get any smaller now! It did feel great though 😄

SilenceInside · 02/09/2026 21:57

@MCR24 sounds like a fun thing to do! I still need to remind myself that I can wear and try on whatever I want these days, but the effects of several decades of being traumatised in changing rooms still lingers.

MCR24 · 02/09/2026 22:05

@SilenceInside it's the first time I've been so brave! I'm more scared of trousers though. I don't like shopping really and I'm having to do it person so I can try stuff on as there is so much difference in sizes.

Weigh in and jab day

SW 140kg BMI 54.7
CW 89.2kg BMI 34.5
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

14 stone 1lbs in old money. A gain of a couple of pounds after a week's holiday so not too bad. Very much in a stall at the moment, losing and gaining the same kilo.

On the plus side, autumn is round the corner and I know that I wont be tempted by the heavier autumn food.

tescovaluebread · 03/09/2026 13:34

Afternoon losers, hope all is well!

SW:144kg
CW:79kg
GW:75kg

The scales have finally shifted from going up and down the same 2 pounds for the last 2 months, I'm so pleased. I'm going to carry on with my 15mg until I get to goal, then taper off the strength but keep the 5 day jabbing consistent, then once I get to a low dose, start to expand the days, until I run out and move to the wegovy pill. It feels very strange to be talking about maintenance; I don't think I can ever remember not feeling like I needed to lose weight.

One of the school mums today asked me if I had lost weight. I responded and said thank you, but it's got me thinking - other than the 2 pounds I mentioned above, the answer is no, not since she last saw me in July. So I wonder if I'm at the stage of the journey where every pound lost counts and makes a difference to the overall look. Someone on thread 13, I think, said their WW coach said there was a 10lb difference between each dress size, at least on the slimmer side of weight loss, so I do feel like I'm there.

This is absolutely miles away from when I first started, I had to lose 4 stone before anyone noticed!😲

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 03/09/2026 14:55

I have a theory that we all have a mental image of someone, and we notice weight loss (or gain!) when our mental image doesn't match reality. So if someone notices our weight loss, but it takes time for their mental image to catch up, they could keep 'noticing' that loss until their mental image resets. In their mind we've lost more, because they don't remember that actually we've been that weight for a while. I'm having the same thing at the moment - people keep exclaiming that I've lost loads more when in reality I haven't.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 03/09/2026 16:01

I've just ordered a 15mg pen from MMP for £229.

I'm happy to reorder every 35 days.
They're very efficient.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 03/09/2026 16:14

BTW I also ordered a 15mg pen for £240 from Your Medicals, but it's taking forever.

I ordered it on 20th August and I've had to send them a load of videos, which is okay - but although they got the videos six days ago, the pen still hasn't been dispatched. I had an email to tell me that it was all approved, but they're waiting for more MJ to be delivered.

My pen won't be sent for another week.

I cannot recommend them.
🤣

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 03/09/2026 16:16

However, MMP got my order yesterday and it'll be delivered tomorrow.........

This happened with me! My last order was MMP - I ordered about 6pm and it arrived by royal mail the next morning. I was stunned!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 03/09/2026 21:04

I've (finally!) had a bit of a woosh! 11st 7 for around 6-7 weeks. And now... 11st5. I waited until it had been a few days in case it was a weird one - but - been 11st 5 a few days now! I know it will likely fluctuate still but it means its finally dropping!

TragicMuse · 04/09/2026 09:02

Why, oh why, oh why?!

WHY when I have in mind a particular target I’d like to reach by a particular date - and it’s perfectly sensible and reasonable, such as a couple of pounds within 4 weeks - does my body go ‘nope. Sod that.’ And stubbornly cling to EVERY. SINGLE. OUNCE.

It’s maddening!

I had a week of not tracking and I seemed to put on almost 4lbs. I’m fairly sure I did not eat the 14000 extra calories that would have made that possible that week! It’s taken me nearly 3 weeks to shift it, on a steady and consistent 1250 a day.

It drives me nuts!

I have less than a stone to go and it’s SO HARD at this end of the battle. And yes, the MJ makes it easier for me to stay focused but it’s still a battle.

I’ve noticed in the last couple of weeks the suppression is not working as well as it has been so I am going up to 12.5mg - I’ve been on 10mg for a looooong time, months, so I’ve had a good run at 10mg but I just want to get this last bit off.

Maybe I’ll never have a flat stomach, Spanx can take care of that! But I want to be in the 10s. If my body can take that on board that would be great!

BLOODY BODIES!

Theringcycle · 04/09/2026 12:45

Hello friends! Came here because I had to tell someone that I Have Succumbed to the Kitty Joseph clothing sale and bought myself some things - can’t remember the last time I felt it worth buying investment-ish clothing pieces as opposed to accessories (they’re flexi-sized so the skirt fits size 16-20, one top is a loose crossover one-sized and the other top I got 2 in different sizes and was going to return one but might now keep both - one is a bit tight and the other comfy now so assuming continued weight loss the smaller one will then be the fitted one and the larger one a looser look). They arrived today and I am IN LOVE. Am currently a 20 (down from a 24 6 months ago) so I’ll get some wear out of them (the only size-dependent bit of the skirt is the waist) and for the skirts they also offer an alteration service if need be. I am SO excited to have gone beyond Vinted and it feels huge for me to be feeling worth the spend of a bit of money on clothes. I have a couple of planned occasions in mind coming up for wearing (really special corporate dinner, and a family big birthday).

PositiveAttitude · 04/09/2026 18:41

How exciting @Theringcycle!! So good if they "shrink" with you and you get more wear out of them!
I am reluctant to buy much at the moment in the hopes that I may reduce to the heady heights of a "normal" size 18 soon. My stomach seems to be the annoying part that just won't shrink!

I am with you @TragicMuse. My birthday is Tuesday and I had hoped to be seeing a 13 on the scales as a birthday present to myself..... The last few days I have gone in the wrong direction unfortunately! My fault totally, I forgot to jab this week and couldn't understand why I was eating so much more than I normally do. 🤦🏻

2lb on this week for me 😬. I really shouldn't be surprised though, in the past 2 weeks we've had DH birthday, my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Each one celebrated with food of some sort. We've had cake, takeaways, meals out, all stuff I've avoided for the last 18 months. I'm feeling it now though, my body is ready for a detox!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 04/09/2026 20:33

My weigh in is tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I will have gained. Some will be inflammation as I have started exercising again, but I've also just not been very disciplined this week. Honestly though, I'm OK with that. I'm really enjoying my new attitude to food and weight - I'm not stressed about what I eat, I just eat what feels good but the MJ stops me going off the rails. Plus I had a lovely NSV today - I had to change into scrubs and whereas last time I wore scrubs I had to squeeze myself into the largest size (XXXL), today I was rummaging around to try and find XL trousers (wore an L top) and in the end had to just go with XXL and pull the drawstring as tight as it would go!
