If anyone here is interested in podcasts, there's one called Heart Led Wellness. Episode 166 she talks about the habits that naturally thin people have and it gave me food for thought. Things I didn't even realise.
Two main things come to mind which were mentioned : not eating for the sake of eating (ie I have 300 cals left of my allowance today what should I have, I still haven't hit my protein goal, let me eat x) and that rang true for me because I am always saving my calories and looking to see what I can eat whether I need to or not.
The second thing she said was to eat the thing you're most looking forward to first on your plate. I'm the opposite, I eat all my veg, all my salad and save the best food for last. And she said, what if you're full, or almost full before you come to your favourite bit, you're still going to eat it because that's what you really were looking forward to. Whereas if you ate it first, I'd have no problem leaving some of the food I didn't like).
Anyway, I thought I'd share if interested.
In other news, I'm a size M and recently bought a jumper a size S!! I have swapped my food addiction for a shopping addiction 😂
I met a friend a couple of weeks ago who said I was "wasting away". 🙄 I have a BMI of 27,so hardly. But after having a chat with her and I reiterated I just look normal now, I look like her - she couldn't say much because, yes. She did admit that once you get used to what I now look like, it's fine. But it's just the initial shock.
I have another 5kg to lose before I think I'm in a good zone which gives me a buffer. Whilst I'm losing the last few pounds, I'm slowly tapering down the doses. I have 2 more pens left and then thinking to switch to wg pills and see how I go. I was on 15mg every 5 days. I'm now 10mg every 6 days. Slowly winding down. The appetite is fine so far, but conscious that I have quite a lot still in my system anyway. I made some relatively good habits around exercise and eating whole foods. But I do think I'll have to be on some sort of medication treating obesity forever. Which I'm okay with.
