Oh wow @canaritini what a difference!
Well done.

I do love Before and After pictures.

52soon · 25/08/2026 16:51

@canaritini great progress pictures you look fabulous!

user593 · 25/08/2026 16:59

Well done @canaritini, you look amazing!

We have similar stats as I started at 147kg and now weigh 97kg. I’m 12.5kg away from waving goodbye to Obese!

I've just bought a 15mg pen for £240.

I'm really hoping it'll contain the bonus dose. That'll cheer me up no end.
🤣

That's a good price,where's that from broon

New Health.
Pen arrived today and it didn't have the bonus dose.

Springflowers2 · 25/08/2026 18:13

I am not having a good time ..
Despite not being depressed I agreed to go on Prozac to help with other issues.it completely cancelled out the success id been having with ritalin ..I'm sure some people can successfully manage both medications..I do not seem to be one of those people.
My eating has been out of control.. constantly eating chocolate, and feeling constantly sick ..plus a load of other side effects.
I've put 2 pounds on ..
But I'm not surprised
So now I'm getting bad side effects coming of Prozac.
If I wasn't depressed before I went on it ,I certainly am now .
Obviously as well the monjroro hasn't been able to override the cravings that came with prozac..
This month's pen has been a complete waste of money as I'm 2 pounds up
Once the fog clears .I really need to pull myself together and nail these last couple of stones I want of

Springflowers2 · 25/08/2026 18:16

These last couple of stone feels just as hard as when I started
I feel like I've a mountain to climb.which is utterly ridiculous because I'm nearly there .

GeraldThePufferSponge · 25/08/2026 18:54

Week 15 - down 2 stone 13.5lbs in total.

I’m pleased with how it’s going but I am very envious of you all being much closer to the end of your journey than I am - it makes me wish I had started so much sooner!

user593 · 25/08/2026 19:37

@GeraldThePufferSponge That’s a great achievement! I have lost 8st so far but honestly the time has flown by. You’ll be near goal before you know it, and it’s all the little wins on the way down too. Even though I have another 4st to lose I feel fantastic already.

tescovaluebread · 25/08/2026 19:40

@Springflowers2 I'm feeling the same. The last 2 stone have been very hard to get off.

I'm used to around a stone off every 6 weeks. I started at 144kg, My goal is 75kg

But I was 85kg on 1st May. Now I'm 80kg and have been for the last 6 or 7 weeks. Absolutely not moved and not seen a 79.99kg at all. The summer time hasn't helped and been on holiday, out of routine, plus starting to taper down my doses. So actually maybe I'm just grateful I haven't gained??? I don't know.

I'm having doubts that maybe I shouldn't have started tapering down. It was always the plan to do the last stone "by myself" but I feel like who am I kidding. I have never been able to lose weight, so what changes now just because I'm slimmer? Maybe I should just go back up and knock the last stone on its head.

I wonder if it's any easier to maintain than lose weight. 🤔

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 25/08/2026 22:31

It took me over a year to lose the last two stone.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 26/08/2026 04:06

Echoing Broon - its slowed down soooo much this last stone and stone to go. There were also a couple of times my body just seemed to pause for a few weeks before moving.

AHH
I've been doing the same I dropped down to 10 mg and it suddenly got so hard ,and I was interested in food again
I also had the thought I can do the last leg alone .. clearly I can't
Im trying not to think what happens when I come of it , because if I'm honest with myself I think I'm always going to need it ..

Mine does the same ,I get quite long pauses to

So I lost 2 stone so far this year ,and 10 stone last year .
But now it's just stuck ..but perhaps if I knocked the chocolate on the head ,it might move again.
I'm literally craving chocolate...chat gtp says is my body missing dopamine because the Prozac has blocked the ritalin from working ....and chocolate is an easy way to get it ..

I felt like that ,and I sometimes still do .. especially if I venture on to other threads where people go on it at my current BMI ..
It took me a year of thinking about the injections before deciding to do it ..I do think I wasted that year ,,but you can't turn the clock back ,we can only go from today xx

Springflowers2 · 26/08/2026 09:44

I was thinking..
About the NHS
And at my heaviest I was BMI 56 ..and I did not qualify for these injections because I didn't have 4 things wrong
So at what point would someone with an even higher BMI get them...or is it ,your BMI could be 100 and you wouldn't get it if you didn't have 4 things wrong ..
Why are the NHS waiting for us to have 4 things wrong ... isn't a very high BMI enough..or is it about money..that treating 4 things wrong will cost more than the injections..but less than 4 things and it doesn't cost more ...so if I drop down dead at BMI 56 I don't cost the NHS any money, but if I develop 4 conditions I do cost them money,so get injections..

SilenceInside · 26/08/2026 10:38

@Springflowers2 yes, it's the cost. There were so many people who would be eligible based on the MHRA criteria that there was no way the NHS could afford to prescribe to everyone eligible. That's where the staggered roll out came from, to target people who already have several serious weight related health conditions first.

You see it on threads outside of this section where people post about WLI and posters will say "oh with that high a BMI you'd get Mounjaro for free on the NHS" assuming that it's just BMI that qualifies you. My BMI was 50, and I "only" have high BP so I wouldn't have been eligible. I still wouldn't be eligible if I was still BMI 50 with 1 health condition, it will be several years before they offer it just for having a high BMI.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 26/08/2026 11:08

My bmi was 50 too. It has to be with additional complications.

You've done so well to lose so much. I hope the meds settle soon.

user593 · 26/08/2026 11:25

My BMI was over 50 too. I seem to recall when I first went on MJ it was over 30 and two health conditions, I have one (high BP - although I’ve recently been able to half my medication and think I’ll be off it entirely soon) but when I spoke to the doctor a few weeks ago he said it was four health conditions. I also have a history of diabetes in my family but by some miracle never got it myself. I appreciate funding is finite but it does seem very short sighted. Perhaps they could look at a model to subsidise it rather than fund it in its entirety.

Fffreeeeezing · 26/08/2026 11:47

I was 59.8 so let's round it to 60!

Didn't qualify and didn't even ask as I only had high BP. On reflection, I think I had sleep apnea as I was having all the symptoms but have only realised that lately, it explains so much and considering I was classed as pre diabetic 3 months into MJ, I wouldn't be overly surprised if I had in fact been diabetic, again, I didn't know at the time but I definitely had the symptoms .

I stopped my BP medication in March so I am now completely medication free (other than MJ obvs!)

So there is no BMI that ..that alone you would get it for ..???
So they are not giving it out for weight loss then ..they are giving it out to save money on the cost of certain conditions on the NHS

So maybe the NHS doesn't care about weight loss ,only cares about keeping the cost down on treating certain conditions..the fact people loose weight on monjroro might as well just be an added bonus ... especially if no one can get it on NHS just for weight loss

Did you not ask , because you knew the answer would be no .
So did monjroro stop you becoming diabetic
