Hello all, didn't want us to get to the end of the first thread without a link to a sequel. Looking forward to seeing where we all get to in the life span of this thread.

Thank you @Beehivebabe

Oh boy that Clean Your Plate club! I'm sure that's partly responsible for so much obesity in the country.
I never made my kids eat everything on their plates and it horrified my mum. I remember an older friend having them over for tea once and told both kids they could have sweets if they cleaned their plate up, and she stuck a bag of sweets on the table to spur them on!

Morning all. So yesterday I was STARVING, full on belly rumbling and hunger like I haven't experienced since starting MJ.

I'd had my normal Fage, chia and flaxseed and a couple of hard boiled eggs then I had to go with DD to her county cricket trials which ran from 12 - 2pm and by the time she was finished I was ravenous.

I then ended up going into Greggs (I know, I know) DD is autistic and Vegan and eats really limited food to the point of almost having an eating disorder and there are safe foods for her in Greggs. I resisted the sausage roll but ate a whole ham and cheese baguette!! Then last night I was craving crisps after a roast dinner. So this morning I have topped up by 2.5 from the 7.5 on Thursday and I will go to 10 on Friday. 7.5 hasn't been the dose for me for whatever reason. I'm hoping 10 will work as it's like injecting water for me at the moment.

I also need to get back on it with the exercise, particularly the strength training as I've really let it go since getting back from Scotland and it's almost a month since I've been back!

@rockstarshoes good to see you back. 2 holidays and a lb gain seems like a result to me!

Yes @MoneyJo I'm sure lots of us have been 'coached' into obesity by well meaning but uneducated parents. @SmallTreeDeepRoots my mother has commented on my weight at the moment I 'look good'. She knows I'm on the jabs. I'm waiting on the 'you're too thin' comments!!!

@Beehivebabe I had the exact same thing with realising my food hoarding nature when we had our extension done. We lost our garage and I got rid of hte chest freezer. It's been quite something reducing to a normal sized freezer. I can't hoard as much. However I do now have a massive pantry! You win some , you lose some I suppose! 😂

Beehivebabe · 20/10/2026 08:58

Morning all,
@taratill hope you had a better day yesterday, although one or two days won’t derail you in the bigger picture. Funny how 7.5 hasn’t suited you, I think @MoneyJo was the same?
6ish seems to be my happy spot at the moment, and I’m trying to stick with it.
Funny about the freezer, when we move I’ll be having a second tall freezer in the utility, I was hoping it would help me with meal planning haha. At some point I want a pantry too, my friend has one and it’s so good to have all the dried and canned goods together I think. We have a date for moving 10th Nov 🤞 it sticks!!

taratill · 20/10/2026 09:21

@Beehivebabe honestly the pantry is the best thing ever! I've now got an entire wall of deep floor to ceiling cupboards on one side of our large kitchen/ family room. It is so bloody useful I can't tell you! Exciting about the moving date, that will come round so quickly!

I did have a better day yesterday. I kept to the basics. DH was eating out with work which made it easier. I had zero carbs again yesterday except from vegetable carbs. If I'm not cooking them for him it's easier to resist.

Oddly I feel full/ a bit bunged up this morning so have just had a coffee so far.

Beehivebabe · 20/10/2026 10:37

@taratill glad you had a better day, onwards and upwards!
i like the sound of your pantry! Our new house has a nice kitchen but I’m already planning to redo it next year, with all the things I would like and a pantry is one of them 😅

taratill · 20/10/2026 17:45

So a major project for you then @Beehivebabe! We're just nearing the end of 'phase 1', the downstairs renovation. Phase 2 is starting next year and will be upstairs.

The weather has been dreadful today so I have barely done any steps, my dogs are fairly fair weather, so I've taken the opportunity to work some overtime (I get paid for it which is a bonus).

Still feeling fairly full and a bit bunged up. Trying to get through 3 litres of water today as I did that at the start and I'm sure it helped.

One thing that has occurred to me is that it could be my body fighting more loss as I've gone lost 23% of my body weight. Looking at AI that seems to be the average loss on MJ on the highest dose (15mg) is around 22-23%.

Of course that could be complete nonsense, it doesn't seem to reflect some of the losses we see people talk about on here.

To all of the stallers do you know what percentage of body weight you have lost?

Beehivebabe · 20/10/2026 19:29

@taratill oh wow complete house renovation for you! Had you lived there long before you started it?
My app tells me I’ve lost 28.4% of my body weight, almost a third 😆
One of my DDs lives in California and she has been moaning about the very hot weather there, I said careful what you wish for as our weather has turned cold and wet very quickly!

taratill · 20/10/2026 19:33

And yet you haven't plateaued @Beehivebabe , my theory fails at the first hurdle!! lol! 28.4 % is AMAZING!

We've lived here 20 years, have had years when things needed doing but I home educated my two children who are autistic and were unable to be in mainstream school due to sensory issues, so we had to put off work on the house until they weren't here 24/7! Will be great to finally be done, not least for the purse strings!

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 20/10/2026 21:10

@taratill Interesting theory about stalling. To add to your data, my recent stall was at a point of 22.8% loss. Be interesting to hear whether it’s a common zone to get stuck at!

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 20/10/2026 21:12

@Beehivebabe Epic percentage!

Beehivebabe · 20/10/2026 21:55

Thank you both!
I do have weeks where I stall a bit but that seems to give me a whoosh to lose again.

@alexa37 thank you, yes we have been ‘eating’ our freezer the past few weeks as we are leaving our one for our buyers and purchasing new for the new house. It’s a good idea to have a list on the new tall one though so I know at a glance where everything is. Great shout!

ShebaQueen · 21/10/2026 14:02

Well done on those % everyone, some incredible numbers! Mine is 20.6, I haven't actually stalled yet, am still losing but very slowly

Plumetti · 21/10/2026 16:12

Weight loss has definitely slowed for me, but it’s still going in the right direction, just not as fast as I’d like it.

For reference I’ve lost just over 21% of my original weight, which 7 months ago seemed impossible.

I think when it plateaus or stalls it’s easy to feel a bit disheartened, but thinking back to March when we started I think people on this thread have done fantastically well.
