So I weighed myself after my morning walk today, as I was feeling like I might have lost weight (it's so weird how tuned in I've got to my body!) and I've lost 1lb!

SW 13.1.25 20st 3lbs BMI 43.0
CW 28.9.26 11st 11lbs BMI 25.1

I'm now 0.5lb away from a healthy BMI...!! Soooooooo close!

Obvs going on a cruise on Wednesday is going to blast it all to hell, but I'm so pleased I'm this close - my aim was to hit 24.9 at some point in November, so even with recovering food-wise from the cruise when I'm back, I might even get there by the end of October 😀

Keep on lovely losers - after a few months of stalling and losing tiny bits, I've lost 4lbs this month - the daily walking has definitely kick started my metabolism, so although the thought of doing it still makes me grumpy, just an hour's walk a day has done the trick, so can highly recommend. 💪💪💪

Congratulations, @MooBaggage! You are so close to that tantalising healthy BMI!
I think I might have stopped taking Mounjaro. I was titrating down and intended to take a couple of 1.25 doses spaced out a fortnight apart, but every time I think about taking it I just really don't want to. It' s been two and a half weeks so far, and appetite suppression is supposed to wear off significantly at around 3 weeks, so I'll see how it goes.

Cheesecake53 · 28/09/2026 14:14

Welcome @Twizzletoe how are you feeling after your first jab?

I was also an emotional eater and I could not watch any film without eating something. I define food noise as constantly thinking about food and once finishing a meal thinking what to eat next. I am so glad that stopped with Mounjaro!

Twizzletoe · 28/09/2026 14:49

Not much appetite but that might well be psychological 🤷‍♀️
See I do not have that constantly thinking about food thing. But I am aware a lot of my catch up with friends are based around coffee cake/lunch.
I definitely do just eat something because I’m in the kitchen though. Even though I’m aware I’m not hungry can’t keep my hand out of the packet

@MooBaggage That's terrific! Such a fantastic achievement, and so inspiring. 11stone was (a long time ago) the last time I actually felt healthy, and I'd be so happy to be that.

Enjoy your fabulous cruise!

Weight loss day again for me today, and the scales showed a 3lb loss, which I'm delighted with! I'm starting to really see a difference in how I look and feel now too, and a couple of people have commented that they can see a difference too, which is nice to hear. I'm away next weekend so definitely won't see another 3lb off when I next weigh, but am still hoping for at least 1lb off.

Start date: 15 June 2026
Starting weight: 18st 7lb
Current weight: 16st 11lb
Loss so far: 1 stone 10lb
Initial target weight: 12st 6lb

For those who have to eat at their desks sometimes - Pret have a new deal called pick your pair, £4.99 for two 'smaller' bits such as a protein pot and a side soup.

https://www.pret.co.uk/en-GB/pret-pick-your-pair-1

I have just had a chicken-edamame protein pot and half-tuna flatbread and that's got me over 35g of protein for lunch (fibre not so high but I'll get some raspberries later) and was pretty tasty!

Cheesecake53 · 29/09/2026 19:04

Thanks @HelenDenver that salmon and egg pot looks yummy.

MiaN · 30/09/2026 05:41

I was on holiday abroad for a week and feeling it slowed me two weeks

SW 97kg
W1-2.5kg
W2 -2.4kg
W3 -1.3kg
W4 -0.9kg
W5 -0.9kg
W6 +0.2kg
W7 -0.5kg
CW 88.7kg

I am going to focus on being only 2.2kg away from obese BMI.

Still on 2.5 but have ordered 5 and will move when I am ready to move.

HelenDenver · 30/09/2026 07:54

Well done @MiaN! Once I hit the 100kg, I think BMI of 35 will be my next mini target (currently on 36)

GiveMeWordGames · 01/10/2026 12:45

My Levi's came and they fit perfectly - if anything they're slightly looser on the waist than I expected. Very chuffed.

Also, C&P from the maintenance thread for any interested parties here: I had my video consultation with SwiftDr and very impressed. I've been approved for a bundle of 7.5 & 10 and it'll be despatched today Because my last pen with my current pharmacy was only a 5 they couldn't give me a 10 bundle but I anticipated that so this is the next next option. I'll dose 5 from them which will give me 14 doses in total - 6 from the 7.5 and 8 from the 10. I'm saving both on the cost of the pens compared to my current place, and in split dosing.

So thanks for the rec @WeAllHaveWings . Dr Bano was lovely to chat to.

QueenOfHiraeth · 03/10/2026 00:27

I am also with SwiftDoctor and confirm Dr Bano is indeed lovely. She gave some great advice in my consultation

So first week weigh in and 1.1kg down, been fine with no real side effects, latter half of the week disrupted as took a trip to see my unwell fresher. So eaten in a rather haphazard way. But made reasonable choices I think.

Cheesecake53 · 04/10/2026 11:42

That loss is brilliant @Twizzletoe!!! Hope your fresher is better now!

HelenDenver · 04/10/2026 13:18

Weigh in yesterday - still not quite at the 100kg - 100.2kg. But hopefully will be there by next weigh in just before I start my 5th pen!

Cheesecake53 · 04/10/2026 15:03

I am 99.8kg today, but don't know if I can trust my scale. I was 105.00 yesterday (100.7, 102, 103 the days before) then yesterday noon fully clothed after food suddenly the scale said 102kg. (I needed a scale picture for a new pen.) So I am not sure if today’s 99.8kg is true. How can I find out if my scale weights correctly? I changed the batteries a few weeks ago. But I live in a conversion and the floors are dodgy. Maye an analogue scale is the best?

HelenDenver · 04/10/2026 15:13

A woo-hoo for a below 100kg reading!!

I try and put the scale in nearly exactly the same place each time (lined up with the foot of the basin and back a bit) and only weigh without clothes and first thing, before even coffee!

I don't think analogue scales would be more accurate if the issue is an uneven floor.

Did you have a lot of salt on Friday? Cos water retention could tip you up a fair bit and then settle down over the day.

Onegramatatime · 04/10/2026 15:44

Congratulations on less than 100kg @HelenDenver !

@Cheesecake53 , i move my scale around till i find the most level floor area otherwise always place the scale in the same place when weighing. Congratulations on less than 100kg!

I am hovering in my target weight bracket. I have moved over to the alumni maintenance thread!
It's an exciting step but I am also finding I need to keep the same level of motivation and activity to keep my weight stable and not climbing.

Cheesecake53 · 04/10/2026 16:10

Thank you @HelenDenver! I did not have much salt on Friday, just my oats and fruits then chicken tikka for lunch and for dinner chicken and veggies. But I had sushi with soy sauce earlier this week.

Last week I had the scale in a different place in the bathroom where it could be all the time, but it did not work really; the bathroom is really small. I think I'll next try the hall way, the floor there is pretty level. The mechanical scales all seem to only show the weight in 500g intervals.

Cheesecake53 · 04/10/2026 16:22

Thank you @Onegramatatime I hope I find more consistency in the hallway' place I chose, I measured the new spot and it is level.

Twizzletoe · 04/10/2026 17:29

Yes the fresher is on the mend thanks for asking. Was nice to see for myself and to drop off a few supplies. Met an old friend for lunch today planned before starting the treatment. But that is part of this I guess making better choices when out and compensating in my other meals. Find the nutrition checker on juniper hopeless so using nutracheck instead. It was also useful seeing the kcal on the menu to help guide my choice.

HelenDenver · 04/10/2026 19:04

I think nutracheck is a really good app

Cheesecake53 · 05/10/2026 15:35

Today again 3.2kg gained it must be the scale, surely?
