I know what you mean about finally knowing your wardrobe is here to stay @MooBaggage . I'm firmly a 14 on top now and always will be because the boobs and shoulders aren't going anywhere. 😁

I seem to have ended up, well, a 13 on the bottom which is why I keep trying things on in shops. Because between the wildly inconsistent world of UK sizing and me being unfamiliar with a lot of "normal" size brands, I never know what will fit well. Even when there's exact measurements, it's confusing. On the same shopping trip I got a bargainous pair of M&S work trews in the sale from their "tailored" range (£50 reduced to £11!!) which said they were 32" waist, 33" inside leg. They fitted perfectly and yet whenever I measure my own waist it comes out at 34. 🤔

GiveMeWordGames · 26/08/2026 08:37

@Timetofindme if you're going to have a three week gap I would take your normal size dose before you go. Then maybe drop down a bit for your first dose when you come back.

Everyone's attitude to risk keeping pens going for longer is different but I'm currently stretching the to 6 weeks and probably will to 8 when I start taking 2.5 out of a 5.

I'm not familiar with online ordering so will leave others to answer that one.

About the fruit and full fat greek yoghurt breakfasts, I don't count calories. I find I get obsessed if I do and that doesn't work for me, so no clue. I would have something like a small banana and a kiwi chopped into yoghurt for breakfast, soup or maybe a small sandwich plus fruit for lunch and a protein/veg/minimal carb supper. Plenty of fluids, the occasional naughty treat, tea and coffee and if I am out or have a take away I typically don't manage very much of it.

Hi @MooBaggageI see someone has already beaten me to this Grin but I hope you don’t mind me also saying …

You’ve given us all so much encouragement so I’d like to offer you some too. You’ve done brilliantly getting to where you are, don’t feel discouraged now.
With 12lbs to go, can I gently suggest to keep going, I think you’ll kick yourself if you stop now. You have a goal and I think you can reach it.
I have no wish to teach a moobaggage to suck eggs - but - have you tried a bit of fasting? Something like one meal a day for 5 days in a row, I think this type of fasting is really effective and as long as you drink plenty of water, not too hard to do. It can be a good reset if you’re a bit set in your routines.

I started about the same weight as you and so losing has taken a while and maintaining is a learning curve. I don’t count calories but I have reduced portion sizes and I have used fasting throughout. Dr Jason Fung has really helpful advice on how to fast healthily. I plan to keep using this forever because I can’t afford mj for life and I’m terrified of returning to the unhealthy mess I was 15 months ago.

You’re an inspiration to us all moobaggage, thank you!

NewbieMJ · 26/08/2026 17:51

@nailslikeknives I too follow Jason Fung - it is him and Dr Berg that have got me 107 pounds down! Thanks also for the tip re prep for hols and events - that is very good advice and completely in line with Jason Fung ethos - feast or famine.

@AnneinEdinburgh LOVE full fat greek yoghurt - I eat it every day! Got my entire family on it. So good for us.

@MooBaggage You and I are at the same stage - you lost a lot faster than I did. I too am within touching distance of target, but it is so slow! I am also very much enjoying my size 14 self and happy to remain here forever. You gave me words of inspiration a few weeks ago and said that when we were starting out, we looked on at those who were where we are now. You said something along the lines of "they got there, and we will too". So MJ friend, we WILL get there. I have 4 pounds to go to get to the golden under BMI 25, and I am damned if I will be "overweight" having come this far!

You know what you are doing, your body knows what to do. You have got this💪❤

Hatty65 · 26/08/2026 17:58

Please may I join you all?

I have roughly 8 stone to lose and have bitten the bullet and just been prescribed MJ at 2.5 dose. I'm about to do my first injection tomorrow, mostly because I have nothing on Fri, Sat, Sun and I thought I might feel nauseous or not well.

Any advice would be welcome.

Edited to say, I'm fairly rural and don't know a single person on these jabs, or at least no one who has told me they've tried them so I have no real life advice.

AmberLime · 26/08/2026 18:20

Hello Hetty!

I was more than 7st heavier this time last year - its an exciting journey for you!

My recommendations are don't feel you must eat if you're not hungry. Make sure you drink lots, but be OK with fasting and skipping meals. You won't starve (because like us all, you have plenty of fat cells to sustain you).

When you do have a meal, try to eat 'clean' to avoid digestive side effects. Avoid greasy foods, fatty foods, sugar, processed foods. Where possible I aim to eat only vegetables and low fat protein.

What else...

Take yourself some comparison photos for before and after

Take all of your measurements (not just weight) for before and after

Electrolytes are good for you and help you drink more water. I have two mango flavoured zero cal electrolytes a litre of water on my morning commute every day.

If you think youre hungry drink a glass of water first then reassess. I found i was not drinking nearly enough fluids because by body told me to eat food when in fact I was just thirsty.

AmberLime · 26/08/2026 18:26

@MooBaggage and @NewbieMJ Im also in a similar position.

I hit the fabled BMI 25 mid-July, then we broke up from school and an all inclusive holiday scuppered healthy bmi (but worth it!). Since then I have been bouncing between 4lb and 7lb over BMI 25 and can't get back to consistently losing.

Currently spiralling this week due to Back To School Dread. But I think once im back, and back into routine, I'll be back on-it. So for this week im going to be kind to myself and not beat myself up about it.

Ive stayed on 10mg and not planning on titrating down until im 7lb under BMI 25. I hope to get to 1st under ultimately- which feels miles away.

Hatty65 · 26/08/2026 18:36

@AmberLime Thank you very much. I'm a pretty healthy eater generally - just far too much of it, and definitely addicted to sugar and snacking, so hoping that this will stop that.

MoneyJo · 26/08/2026 19:20

Welcome @Hatty65

I do seem to have stalled. One pound off in two weeks and I've only just gone up to 7.5mg. On the plus side, I just bought a lovely White Stuff dress in a 16 and it fits nicely. Last year I was in a 20/22.

Cheesecake53 · 30/08/2026 13:02

I lost 400g this week. This means I lost 6.5 kg since 17 July, about a stone! 5 more to go.

HelenDenver · 30/08/2026 14:15

Well done @Cheesecake53 great loss for your first few weeks!

Cheesecake53 · 30/08/2026 14:18

Thank you @HelenDenver I am in 7 weeks. How are you?

MiaN · Yesterday 05:15

The fist two weeks were amazing with unrealistic high weight loss and now on week 3 the speedy train is gone! I was ready for the normal speed, I knew it's coming but I enjoyed the ride while it lasted. I would love to think 1kg a week its good boy in reality I know even that could be a push and the realism will catch up with me hopefully. I have at least 20kg more to healthy BMI, that's a lot of weight and it will take time.

MoneyJo · Yesterday 07:41

It's good you're taking the longer view @MiaN - we are all in it to win it... eventually 😊.
I lost 4lb the first week, then steadily 2lb a week mostly for the next 3 months. Since then I've lost 1 or 2lb a week. Friday will mark my 6 month anniversary and all being well I should also hit the 3 stone mark by then as I'm just a pound off.

I will still have 4 stone to go to a healthy BMI but slowly I will get there. I had already lost 1stone 5 in the year before so I'm almost half way. I'm keeping next summer holidays as my target date to hit my target weight. I don't mind if it takes that long as firstly I think I will have less chance of regaining and secondly I already feel and look so much better so it's all positive.

MiaN · Yesterday 07:49

Well done 👏. For sure slow does it as long as the direction is right

childfreebychoice · Yesterday 21:33

Well done to everyone who's lost this week. I had another 3lb loss, which I was delighted (and a bit surprised!) about. I'm hoping to be in the 16 stones by next week.
Start date: 15 June 2026
Starting weight: 18st 7lb
Current weight: 17st 1lb
Loss so far: 1 stone 6lb
Initial target weight: 12st 6lb

I'm seeing a lot on social media that Lilly are reducing the prices from tomorrow (probably because I ordered today!) but watch this space...

Yes there have been a couple of threads on this board about it. Good news.

Just checked Monj. Medecine Marketplace have dropped their retail price but the others don't seem to have followed suit yet. On the threads I read it was MMP who had announced a drop. Hopefully the others will follow suit soon.

MooBaggage · Today 06:32

Hi @Hatty65 and I hope your first injection went well and you're feeling fine!

I am so glad it's September - feels like a factory reset after a too-hot too-busy August... it's been my least losing month since I started on MJ - I only lost 1lb the whole month!

So - am aiming for a 2lb loss this month, which seems so paultry compared with a year ago when I lost between 4lb - 6lb every month - but a loss is a loss and I only have 5lbs to go, so am grateful for every one of those lbs!

I paid my coffee tax at 6am with doing handweights while the coffee machine was on the go - start as you mean to go on!

September here we come - onwards and downwards! 💪💪💪💪
