Welcome to the newbies, this place is a great source of advice, and sharing highs and lows - these ladies know more about my weight loss than even my DH does!
My story - I started in September last year and have gone from a size 18-20 to a size 6-8. It took me about 6 months to lose 5 stone, and in the next 5 months I lost just over 2 stone more.
For those who plan to lose a bit more than just being within healthy BMI, be careful replacing all your wardrobe too quickly - I was a small size 12 when I hit 24.9, and I have dropped slightly more than 2 dress sizes since then. I didn't fully appreciate that losing 1st at my heaviest would have less of an effect on my dress size than losing 1st when at a healthy BMI. I cannot remember the PP that used the kitchen roll analogy on one of these threads, but it is very true - removing 5 sheets when it is at it's biggest has little effect on it's overall size, but removing the same number of sheets when it is nearly empty has a huge effect. It's the same with weight loss.
Congrats, @MoneyJo, a new 'big' number on the scales is the best feeling! @MooBaggage, you are so close now!

I didn't weight myself for a fortnight hoping my weight loss would settle down (i.e. stop!) and I have managed to lose another 2.5lb. I am on 5mg every 14 days; I will see how I feel when it comes to the next dose, but dropping to 2.5 seems a logical move right now.
I have to admit the thought of losing 7st at the start of this was unthinkable, I just wanted to register a weight in the healthy BMI range. Now I am 0.5lb away from losing a total of 100lb - let's be honest, my attempts at maintaining thus far mean I will probably hit that by the time I weigh myself next.
In terms of maintenance, I am eating well - lots of protein, fruit and veg, and balanced carbs, but if I fancy some of a chippy dinner or a packet of fruit pastilles, like last night, then I eat that too. I am still going to the gym 3-4 times a week, so I feel like I am doing all the right things. I have mentioned my struggles with maintenance and how hard I am finding it, but I am still in the healthy BMI range with a bit of wiggle room before I need to worry more. As such, I am going to continue as I am in the hope the scales stop registering a loss soon.
