A good news message from me in our new thread. I’m down 0.5kg this week. Very heartening as tonight is final dose of second 2.5mg pen. My provider does not issue them in advance so I have my phone check in with them on Tuesday. I will ask for the 5mg pen, but do 2.5 next week so travel plans are not upset by any side effects and then try 3.75 the following week.

Good job!

I’ve been staring at the same weight for 5 days, it’s annoying me now, glad to see someone else is losing though :)

@minnymoobear- On the previous thread, you weren't understanding that the concentration of the medication within each pen strength is different. You always inject the same amount 0.6ml, but the amount of drug mg within that 0.6ml differs with the strength of the pen.

Think of the pens as a single glass of Robinsons squash.

-Glass 1 has a few drops of squash in the water and almost looks like water,
-Glass 2 has more squash in the water and is a pinky colour
-Glass 3 has lots of squash in there and is a deeper red colour

They are ALL 1 glass, but have different concentrations of squash/mounjaro.

@madeinthe80z Thanks for the new thread 🤩

welcome to the new thread. I have my 5mg in the fridge door, but still got 2 doses of my second pen left due to the golden doses. Im getting nervous for the opening of the gallery show today, but am making sure I get enough food in to carry me through, as yesterday once again I ate breakfast at around 8.30, went and worked doing a changeover at the glampingsite in the hot weather til about 2, then stuck in a traffic jam and not home until after 4 and I crashed. I was literally sitting feeling wiped out on the kitchen floor eating nuts and slices of ham and a peach while I tried to put the shopping away.
I need to make sure I take something with me to act as a lunch when Im on the go. On the MJ I cant get away with running my body the way I used to in the past

I have found this, your body is getting rid of all of its stores and using its fat, so any prolonged exercise can wipe you out. It’s making me nervous for Disney as I can get light headed at the best of times, I’m thinking I need to pack some kind of cereal bar in my bag for the day to pick at as I go round.

when I was in London earlier this month I vomited and I think part of that was down to over exerting on such low food volumes.

youll find your pace, and in the meantime it sounds like you had some good healthy snacks to perk you back up :)

best of luck with the show!!!

Thread 2 woohoo! 🙌

Im so excited to jab tonight, tempted to do a dose and a half from my 2.5mg pen but I have a wedding next week and I don’t want to have an awful week

UntilTheVeryEnd · 20/06/2026 18:01

All aboard for the new thread… toot toot 🚂

I’ve been tempted to do this as well but also out for a Chinese on Thursday and I don’t hear great stories of how people’s bodies react to Chinese food on MJ!

I have the same as you @NettleTea and I’m getting impatient to start the higher dose!

Good job!

I’ve been staring at the same weight for 5 days, it’s annoying me now, glad to see someone else is losing though :)

I only weigh myself once a week so even on a week when I lost 300gram (possibly just the weight of a wee or a poo!), it still felt like I was moving in the right direction.

Hope you see some change soon - keep your spirits up!

I also can’t cope with significant underrating or long gaps. Was like that even before MJ. Frequently felt faint and ravenous. Now just feel faint and crap without the ravenous, but eating sorts me out. Or sometimes drinking / electrolytes. But mainly food. Always carry snacks, but these days make sure they contain protein.

KittensAndCupcakes · 20/06/2026 20:35

I mean undereating not underrating!

I understand what you are saying.

@7238SM I also love that, not only are you are resident numbers boffin, but you even have a numerical use name.

NettleTea · 21/06/2026 08:36

another 0.5 kg loss this morning, which puts me at 9.4 kg which is nearly 1 1/2 stone gone in 8 weeks.

looking at photos from the exhibition opening yesterday it isnt very visible yet, but I can feel it, and this is the lowest Ive been for a long time

suneetime · 21/06/2026 09:09

Well done @NettleTea Excellent progress. I’ve lost another 1lb this week so 15lbs in total. Going slowly now but at least in the right direction. I can notice it around my belly and feel it in my waistbands but it’s not noticeable to anyone else yet. I imagine it will take another stone before anyone notices. Let’s face it, I’m still obese!

NettleTea · 21/06/2026 09:53

yes Im 5 ft 4 and still over 13 stone. I carry it ALL around my middle so I can be deceptive from the front but Im not fooling anyone if I turn sideways.

Ive noticed the overhang is much less though, and Im hoping to be done away with the crease once and for all, as with the summer coming up I cant be doing with another year of sores where I sweat and rub.

Im cross today though because Ive been waiting since November to have what the dr recommended was an MRI scan on my knee from injuring it - the referral had to be triaged so he told me to expect physio first, then an X ray, and then he would be able to refer me back through to MSK. The X ray was done within a fortnight and referral to MSK duly put through. They sent me a questionnaire early this year which was 'yes its still bloody killing me' and Ive just had a text confirming they had referred me back to physio. FFS.

3oldladiesstuckinalavatory · 21/06/2026 13:33

That's really annoying @NettleTea . Knees are such a PITA.

Well done all you losers, I've gained again this morning (general trend is downward, but it's annoying to get on the scales to see they've gone back up into the 90's again!).

Jab day today though, who knows what next week might bring...

Tulipwood · 21/06/2026 14:03

This drug really confuses me. Last week it was like I injected water but this morning after jabbing last night I’ve had such strong suppression I’ve only just eaten for the first time today

mollio · 21/06/2026 14:24

found you all ! Thanks for setting up the new thread. ! Nettles , your poor knee , I have a dodgy right knee too that acts up every now and then . I hope you get it sorted . I’d say losing weight will also help a lot , that’s what I’m hoping for with mine anyway as it’s only dodgy since I gained weight - that and my feet ! I am also careful about what exercises I do . Twisty Zumba I found a no go as it was too hard on my right knee .

mollio · 21/06/2026 14:25

.

KittensAndCupcakes · 21/06/2026 15:36

@NettleTea @mollio fellow knee pain sufferers (and foot as well in my case). Here’s hoping our weight loss will bring relief.

And in the meantime, I hope the physio works some magic Nettles after the royal mess of you being bounced back and forth! Well done also on more weight loss.

NettleTea · 21/06/2026 17:30

yes foot too. I got myself a great caser of plantar fascilitis back in 2014 and its never really gone away. same leg, which is my worst lymphodema leg. I broke that leg too, deciding to go on a healthy walk on Jan 1st 2020....

TeamsThemeTune · 21/06/2026 17:48

Some great progress here ladies!

Well I did jab 6 on Saturday, so only 5 days after the last (delayed) one, and holy moly, the suppression today is off the scale! Went out for brunch at 11am and I managed to force down a coffee and 2 poached eggs and about 2 bites of sourdough. It was a particularly tangy sourdough and I really didn't like it.

Can't even think about dinner yet - I don't know if I'll be able to eat anything at all this evening.

madeinthe80z · 21/06/2026 22:10

Just stabbed myself in the thumb with the needle after doing my jab tonight 🤣🤦‍♀️
