It’s less the judgement, more the paranoia that something might happen to it, which is silly really. It’s a family staying and I would hate the kids to mess about with it!

I think the options are - travel case and hope for the best.

Golden dose (not done this before). Hope for the best.

Cold turkey and restart!

I have 3 more weeks to decide…

Id just stick it at the back of the fridge and hope for the best. The same risk could be said of any medication in terms of the kids getting hold of it.

Wow haven’t been on for 5 days, and missed so much! Well done everyone on losses so far. I posted last week with a list of horrible symptoms (nausea, migraine, constipation, extreme suppression). Delayed injecting from Monday to Friday night as turned out it was some sort of stomach bug. Needless to say, I had an overly good loss last week (over 3lbs) but have put 1lb back on this week despite calorie counting and exercising. Not expecting much more of a loss this week (usual weigh in is Friday) due to having children home from school/childcare due to closures, and husband working away, so no opportunity for exercise. But overall have lost just over 16 lbs (despite the gain) since 30 April.
Have really noticed an increase in hunger and food noise this week though, not sure if delay in injecting meant what was in my system reduced. I also injected in my stomach for the first time (I’d done leg the week before and hit muscle so avoiding that now - gym sessions are obviously paying off!), so not sure if that would have made a difference, but maybe just time to move up a (probably half) dose - have a 5mg sat ready and waiting.

Hi all, hope everyone is doing okay in the heat!

is anyone obsessed with following peoples mounjaro stories and watching YouTube videos and listening to podcasts about it?! I think it’s my ADHD hyperfocus maybe!? But if anyone has any recommendations of people to follow on YouTube or instagram or good videos / interviews you’ve watched etc, please throw them my way. And if anyone wants any recommendations then I’ll post a couple too x

The thing I’m currently way to invested in is the ones where they put on their sad face in the papers ‘I lost 8 stone on Mounjaro but now I feel worse than ever’ - I’m sure they’re just trying to get people to pay for their skin surgery.

I get that it isn’t affordable for everyone, and I’ll have to pay for my surgery with a remortgage myself most likely. But I just feel like anyone who is surprised that losing the weight didn’t fix their happiness or give them the perfect body is being a bit naive.

I do like seeing how good they look after surgery though, I pray this is my future too and that I get back to my pre-pregnancy figure

Boreded · 24/06/2026 14:07

That gain will just be your body rebalancing after the illness. You will have a bit more in your digestive system, but definitely not more fat. I had a bug a couple of weeks ago and it resulted in a weird low, high, low again loss for me. Hoping now that it is finally evened out.

No. TBH, I don't follow anyone, don't watch podcasts and never thought to watch anyone on youtube about mounjaro! Never thought about it. I do listen to music and sometimes recipes on youtube though.

Actually, I did watch someone on youtube to see how to crack the pen to get the golden dose but I think watching someone elses weight lose journey would be boring 😆I've found SO much info on here that I've never bothered trying to find more info elsewhere.

Hi everyone, hope you’re all ok in this heat. Is anyone here suffering from low blood pressure? I’ve had 5 doses, 6th on Thursday and my BP has plummeted. Have ordered 2.5mg again as I’m too worried to go up to 5mg but prob should as I’m feeling hungry ….

Do you check you BP regularly? Or are you feeling a bit light headed and woozy… I’ve had a few instances of lightheadedness and like a “woah” head rush when I stand up the day as my jab.

Boreded · 24/06/2026 23:07

Anyone else still feel sick with the jabs. Had number 8 yesterday and today I’ve just felt gross again. Couldn’t finish my half a pizza that I made (had 1/3 of pizza overall) and couldn’t finish my tuna bun (just a little 50g one too, not a big bread bun) - smells make me feel sick. It’s like being pregnant right now

justasking111 · 24/06/2026 23:11

Can I ask. My DH is on his second month. Hes having mood swings is this normal, long lasting or just the body adjusting. Family and friends have noticed.

I'm walking on eggshells re cooking food because I keep buying the wrong stuff. Apparently root vegetables are bad, dairy is bad. Red meat is bad. He shouts if I buy it. But I'm concerned about vitamins. He also lost a stone quickly but now it's slowed down to a rate he's annoyed about.

Thanks for listening.

Your nutrients and balance in your body can affect your moods. You can have headaches when you cut out sugar, withdrawals from reducing alcohol intake, boredom and agitation from your body just being low on calories.

I think you just have to try to talk to him about it, let him tell you what he is feeling, he might just be annoyed that it isn’t coming off as fast as he wants. I get mad at my scales on an evening when my weight has gone up by more than half a pound, or when it isn’t down enough the next morning, so I rant to chat GPT. And!!! I’ve trained my husband to stop telling me that it is ok because it sometimes the scales fluctuate etc, and to start saying ‘yeah you’re right, it should have gone down, it’s ridiculous 😂

see what he needs from you and try to do that if you can. But realistically the first stone will always come off quickly because mostly it isn’t fat, it is the excess water, glycogen, and digestive weight. Now he is losing 1lb of fat for every 3500 calorie deficit he creates…so he just needs to cut calories and increase exercise and it will all maths itself out.

Nope I don’t have any nausea anymore, however there were certain foods that didn’t sit right with me and once I’ve reduced and eliminated them that’s when it went away. Maybe keep a food diary for 3 days, try different foods and note down how you feel after them.

I also have no nausea since about week three or four. I barely eat any UPFs (this was normal for me before jabs). After starting MJ, the times when I did feel nauseous were when I ate something which was processed. Now I can eat them (pizza, sausage, muesli bar, etc) without feeling sick, but I wouldn’t want to eat a lot of them in case I felt ill. @madeinthe80z’s idea about a food diary sounds good.

mollio · 25/06/2026 08:33

I sometimes feel a bit nauseous half way through eating some thing . I fancied tuna the other day actually and had one slice of toast with it but found I couldn’t face the other slice suddenly … it’s quite random I find !

It can affect your mood, I know at times it makes me feel a bit flat , but actually “even keeled “ at the same time iykwim ? I’m not any snappier or anything . I think he needs to reign himself in a bit and control the outbursts and maybe he should do the shopping for a change ! Sorry to be harsh

I can't talk to him about it because he's doing it secretly. I accidentally found out.🙈. But I have warned the family because he's been grumpy with them which is upsetting.

He is doing some shopping. Eating a lot of tuna steaks which I loathe so I just fix myself something else.

I didn't know dairy and root vegetables were banned. He's the one who doing the research.

They’re not banned , he has probably decided not to eat carb heavy veg and fats , but that’s his choice .oh gosh That’s a really tricky one if he is doing it secretly and yes it probably has affected his mood . You have my sympathies xx

But many vegetables growing underground. Carrots, onions, etc why are they demonised? He's cooking his tuna with onions and garlic. Do ya think I should point this out?

Thanks both.

Problem is that I’m having almost identical food every weekday. There is nothing random going in, and nothing processed. The sick feeling is just there for 2 days.

I also have a flat spell of no loss for a couple of days after the jab, before losing a couple of lbs. Maybe it is just because things are backing up in my stomach a bit more.

Either way I’m not going to stop taking it for the sake of a few days of nausea every week. I’ll stop feeling sick when I’m thin lol

it sounds as if he has decided to combine keto with mounjaro or some kind of fad like that. Or he is seriously restricting his calories?

Root veg are quite high in carbs, so thats probably something to do with it. Is he mainlining suplliments?

Id be worried that its not sustainable. I think for me, as Im not going for massive fast loss (I want my 60 year old skin to be able to keep up with it all as best as it can) Im trying to learn what a healthy amount of food looks like, so that when I come outt the other side I am able to hopefully maintain without too much difficulty. This is a lifelong change, not a quick fix race to goal. His body wont survive without carbs longterm, and then he wont know how to eat properly.

I use the Nutricheck app to log my meals - you can tell it what kind of diet you are on, and Ive set mine to GLP-1. It gives me a daily target of protein, calories and carbs. Im on 1200 calories, with aiming for 115.5 gm protein (I rarely manage that) and 63 gm carbs.

Being in ketosis due to carbs below, I believe, 30 or maybe even 20, is quite a strain on the kidneys, and add to that metabolising the mounjaro too.

have a google of 'can ketosis on mounjaro cause mood swings and why'

7238SM · 25/06/2026 18:42

@justasking111 Why can't our DH buy his own food if he complains about what you buy?
I agree, I've never heard of a root free vegetable diet on mounjaro! Those that follow the Jain religion don't eat root vegtables along with no garlic/onions. Maybe he could look up Jain recipes IF that is really what he is aiming for.
