Just stabbed myself in the thumb with the needle after doing my jab tonight 🤣🤦‍♀️

Yeah - did that too last week!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 22/06/2026 08:35

Another 2lb down this week! I was 13 stone 2 when I started my weight loss and I was 11stone 2 this morning. I’m really proud of that…I have just done my 2nd dose of 5mg. Last week was a bit ropey with more nausea and fatigue but overall it was mine. Suppression felt more like it did when I started so moving up was the right choice. After very large skin reactions on my legs, I moved as suggested to my belly. The skin reaction on my belly was a tenth of the size of the previous reactions (about the size of a 5p) so I’ve injected in my belly again this week and praying for the best. I am really grateful for the support of this thread… it’s great to have a space to talk about the experience.

Tulipwood · 22/06/2026 09:44

My weight has finally moved after staying the same for 2 weeks, almost in the next stone bracket woohoo

Maysee21 · 22/06/2026 14:26

Hi everyone, I’d like to join you if you don’t mind? I’ve been following since thread 1 began but this is my first time posting. It’s jab day today for me and this will be week 9 and the start of my third 2.5mg pen. I was thinking over the weekend that maybe I should have gone for a 5mg pen as I seemed more hungry than usual but I am back to my normal suppression today so hopefully it was just a blip. I’ve typically been a slow loser (in my eyes anyway) and started at 13st 10.4 and weighed in today at 13st exactly. I did go down to 12st 13 which was great to see on the scales but it’s crept up slightly due to the weekends eating! Fingers crossed for a loss next week.

2 stone already…I mean I’ve hit that, but I started over 19st, but to do it at a starting weight of 13 is phenomenal….wowweee good job

Awww I’m glad you decided to stick with us and now post. 10lbs is no small feat still. Have you picked up anything that heavy recently, it’s a lot!

Stick with us though, we will all get there in the end. And like I have said I couple of times, I’m going to be here for the long haul for sure as I have tonnes to lose so you know at least one person will be here this time next year for extra motivation :)

It must have been killing you, mine only went down by .4 across 5 days last week and I was ready to throw the scales out of the window. Glad it is back on a downward trend for you, hopefully you see a couple of good weeks to make up for your body being an ass to you for the last two weeks

I am in a bit of a quandary regarding the jabs and holidays… has anyone taken their jabs abroad (if yes, was it complicated?) or have you just taken a dose before you go and then miss a dose and then just inject the following week?
any advice welcome x

I only went away for a week , but jabbed two days before to lessen the effects and then did a jab which would have been 10 days later . I don’t want to bring it as I wasn’t sure if there would be a fridge and am storing it in the fridge so I can microdose / use the golden dose

I’m going away next week and plan on jabbing my usual day which is 3 days before I fly and then just jabbing when I get back. I’m gonna use it as a way to change my jab day too

When I had my initial ‘interview’ (or whatever it’s called), my provider (Well Pharmacy) spontaneously said they could provide a letter if I wanted to take it abroad. I’m sure all providers can do likewise.

I read you can safely inject a day or so either side of your normal day. If you need to take a pen, I'd google the country you are going to to see if you can get more info such as whether you need a letter, or just take the box with the dispensing label and your name on it?

A friend has a mini cooler for her pen which I think is USB charged and she uses a power bank when not near a socket. It looks the same size/shape as an electric tooth brush. No idea if you can take power banks on a plane though?

I’m going next week too, we will have to compare notes when we are back.

Mine is just a simple, no frills, self catering, in Tenerife. Should mean less opportunity to eat too much, and not too much drinking (if any).

The one I’m worried about is Florida in September. I always struggle day one with the heat and have thrown up in the past and/or got very faint and lightheaded. I need to try to find the balance so that I have the energy for the 15k steps when I find it hard to eat much (I struggle to eat in the heat anyway, never mind when I’ve been jabbing). I’m going to go for eating little and often and hope for the best…I cannot throw up in Walmart again 😂🤦‍♀️

3oldladiesstuckinalavatory · 23/06/2026 14:55

It’s tricky isn’t it? I’m going away in 4 weeks time - right at the start of a new pen. We have friends cat sitting at our place when we’re away, and I don’t want to leave a pen in the fridge, but I don’t want the faff and worry of travelling with it either (we’re going to Greece and will have long journeys where it will be very difficult to keep it cool).

Not sure what to do really! I’m still on 2.5, so maybe I’ll just have to stop and restart when I come home - baring in mind I will have to reorder then too 🫠

UntilTheVeryEnd · 23/06/2026 16:43

Thank you to all… it’s really appreciated. I was swaying more to the inject before I go and inject when I get back model as only away a week. On the instructions it says if you “miss” a dose then inject the following week (unless you within however many hours it was, can’t remember) so “missing” a dose doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the world and having to go back to the start, as it were.

TeamsThemeTune · 23/06/2026 19:56

You can take a "missed" dose up to 4 days (96 hours) late if you want. Anything later than that you should just miss it and continue on your normal jab day.

I'm off to Greece too, flying on a Monday returning 10 days later. I usually jab on Friday and have decided to just miss one completely and white-knuckle it until the Friday after I return. My body will probably be 50% Feta/Mythos by then, but I'm sure it will be fine. I just can't be bothered with thinking about it on holiday.

I had delivery issues recently and took my jab 3 days late on a Monday then the next one on Saturday - it did mean that suppression was pretty high as I had 2 doses in the same week, but 5 days apart.

MrsBuntyS · 23/06/2026 21:51

Hi everyone, hope you’re all ok in this heat. Is anyone here suffering from low blood pressure? I’ve had 5 doses, 6th on Thursday and my BP has plummeted. Have ordered 2.5mg again as I’m too worried to go up to 5mg but prob should as I’m feeling hungry ….

Can you hide it at the back, or leave it in a parent’s fridge. also if she is a true friend she won’t judge you for being on the jabs hopefully.

It’s less the judgement, more the paranoia that something might happen to it, which is silly really. It’s a family staying and I would hate the kids to mess about with it!

I think the options are - travel case and hope for the best.

Golden dose (not done this before). Hope for the best.

Cold turkey and restart!

I have 3 more weeks to decide…

Buy a make up bag with lock and leave that in the fridge?
