@Fishhooksandjellybabies @PillPoppin thank you, good ideas!
last year I got in a habit of having a low calorie hot chocolate after dinner which was helping- I’ll try that again too.

Feeling a bit disheartened! Felt so successful for the first 10 days, lost 2kg. In the last few days I have just felt my appetite is back with a vengeance! Back to thinking about snacks etc and have eaten a lot. I don’t want to weigh myself as I know I won’t like the results. Ordered next dose today and went for 1.5mg however wondering if I should contact them and amend to 4mg to hope it helps with the appetite more? I was hoping to stay on the lower dose for longer but maybe I’m too used to it now..
I am due on my period, could this effect things despite the pills?

StickyPits · 27/07/2026 13:20

I’m looking forward to going onto 4mg as while I have seen some changes, I haven’t lost any weight on 1.5mg. I am fuller quicker, but I am getting hungry earlier as my meals are smaller. No side effects other than I am thirstier and if I don’t drink plenty of water, I am slightly constipated.

Is there much difference on price? I'm on 2.4mg of Wegovy through Med Express. Comes in at £203. I'm not talking about the 'new offer discount' but going foward after that? Thanks

Swap to another provider like Medicine Market Place who are currently doing 2.4mg Wegovy for £135 with no new customer discount or referral code needed.

I think it's easy to get disheartened but from following my FIL who had the tablets prescribed for his diabetes and weight management it did take a good few months.
I asked a few times and MIL said no change really but then a bit longer on and she's like "he's got no interest in food anymore"
So maybe give it at least 6 months.

Im on day 12 and just wondered if anyone has any opinions about the following:

Ive had almost no side effects so far.
Ive lost 5lbs.
BUT...
Im not feeling as full as I first did.
Cravings and bad habits are creeping in.

SO....
Ive got the option to order the 4mg now and assume they'll arrive within a week.

Should I start the 4mg ASAP knowing that I can fall back on my 1.5mg if the side effects are really unmanageable (I would have around a week's supply of 1.5mg leftover) or....should I take the full 30 days of 1.5mg and switch to 4mg after that?
Any advice/experiences welcome 🙏

This is exactly how I’m feeling today but only day 7

does the effect build day on day with the tablets ? Or if we’re not getting suppression is only option to move up ?

I’m not sure to be honest.. I received my second month dose and I ordered 1.5mg, wishing I ordered 4mg now but guess I will wait another month! Hope you start to feel some improvements.

Me too...was hoping I'd go the whole month feeling like I did in the first few days but its just not the case.
I was so happy that the side effects were non -existent and now worried that if I go to 4mg, I'll feel ill.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 29/07/2026 11:14

I’ve ordered the 4mg
feeling a bit more full on the 1.5mg but that’s it really, bit disappointing.

Roundisashape · 29/07/2026 12:34

I am moving up to 4mg. The 1.5 worked for about 4 days, then cravings were off the scale and now (22 days in) I just feel like I've taken nothing.
I have researched hard - apparently the 1.5 is just the set up dose - but it can mess with you blood sugar hence the chocolatey cravings.
I'm told that jumping to the 4mg before 28 days would make me feel very ill as there hasn't been enough preparation from the 1.5 - but that comes from Google AI. So I will hold out until at least then. And hope for the best as I will go on holiday a week later.

Chickadeeinme · 29/07/2026 12:37

1.5 doesn’t really do much - it’s basically so you can see if you react badly to it and if you’re having side effects you can’t tolerate. I found 4mg more effective. I do think you have to count calories as well though, and make sure you’re eating enough protein. That has been my biggest challenge. I’m coping well keeping the calories to 1300 to 1500 a day, and I’ve lost 25 pounds so far, but I really have to think about the protein intake.

Roundisashape · 29/07/2026 12:37

Though I would add my chocolate craving has abated. But I'm still hungry a lot and certainly have no issue in finishing what I start. Though one day I acted as a petulant child and pushed it far too far and felt very sick for the remainder of the evening 😳

socks1107 · 29/07/2026 12:53

I’ve had to skip today’s dose the nausea was horrendous yesterday. I ended up in boots asking for anti sickness meds and could not face the tube in heat again feeling so sick. I still feel a touch of it and this morning the tube made me heave a leave but I’m still getting some suppression today so will be taking the next tablet tomorrow as planned and a wfh day!!

I’ve responded quite hard it seems reading all your posts

@Chickadeeinme did you run the full 30 days on 1.5?
How long has the 25lbs taken you to lose?

Im using My Fitness Pal to track calories and going to dust off my rowing machine

Chickadeeinme · 29/07/2026 13:22

@user1468915974I did two months on 1.5mg and have been on 4mg since. I’m seeing the doctor at the weight management clinic on Monday but I don’t know if he’s going to recommend I stay on the 4mg or go up to 9mg. I started on Wegovy in March so I’m losing an average of 4-5lbs a month, which suits me fine - I’m inclined to think that rapid weight loss doesn’t give your body time to adjust.

the other thing I think we all forget is that as we lose weight our bodies need fewer calories, so if you’ve been a fat bastard like me and you go back to the quantities you used to eat you’re just going to slowly pile those pounds back on again. I’ve been there and got that T shirt twice, and now I’m 76 I don’t want to do it again. I may need to stay on this dose of Wegovy forever in order to not regain the weight once I’ve lost the other 30 pounds I need to lose (which will still leave me just above the 25 BMI, but my doctor says is healthier than under it when you’re old).

Chickadeeinme · 29/07/2026 13:23

I’m using Noom to track my calories. I’m in the USA so it works well for me, and the psychological tricks are good.

Derechostrada · 29/07/2026 14:55

I am on the verge of ordering these. Been going backwards and forwards in my head over injections and mounjaro v wegovy.

I'm 5'2 and 11stone 9. It's the heaviest I've ever been in my life. Ten years ago at 38 I was 8.5 stone and the weight has just crept on and up with age and lifestyle changes. Being so short, every kilogram really shows.

I've tried exercising more, eating cleaner etc but I am caught losing and regaining the same half stone. Honestly at this point if I could shift two stone, I'd be delighted.

I'm the upper end of overweight, just a shade under 'obese' with a BMI of 29 something, so I don't think Boots or Asda would prescribe, as I don't have hypertension or anything.

I feel like the tablets might be a better fit than injections as sharps waste is a faff where I am. Only thing is I normally neck about half a pint of water when I first wake up and I'm not sure I can do that on the tablets.

Exactly this for me too.

Waiting for 4mg to arrive but will use up the 1.5mg first (have another week left) in the hope the full 30 days will allow me to tolerate the higher dose more easily.

AprilFlowersMay · 30/07/2026 09:35

@Derechostrada me too with the necking water as soon as I wake up. I normally get up at 5 so am v pleased if I wake at 4 or 4:30 as I just take the pill and go back to sleep and carry on as normal.

When that doesn’t happen I just take a big bottle of water with me (above what I normally take!) to drink on the journey (I leave the house at 5:30). I don’t love it but it’s ok. And honestly I am so grateful for this drug: I have lost but not dramatically (yet) but the switching off of food noise is bliss. I’m three weeks in now.

Thank you - that sounds encouraging. I am not looking for dramatic results but a consistent loss would be great.

My tablets are arriving today and like you I think the best option is going to be for me to keep them by my bed and just take one as soon as I wake up. I'm not someone who can eat immediately when I wake up anyway so waiting half an hour for food won't be an issue.

Feeling Down.

Day 13 and the weight loss has stalled. I've got hardly any suppression at all and I just crave all the old bad things from before 😞
I dont even feel like Im taking the pills at all.
