Great to know! I’ve literally just paid. Excited.

you mentioned you’ve switched providers, would that be doable using the syringes they give as evidence?

Proteinpudding · 24/06/2026 17:23

Hope you see some progress soon @Beachforever I know we always hear that weight loss isn't linear but it's still hard when the scale doesn't move, or goes upwards.

With Healand you get a little card with your prescription on and you could use that as evidence.

I was with Healand for 2 months. Then switched to a different provider to get a Kwikpen so I could choose whatever dose I wanted week to week via counting clicks. I could have got a pen via Healand but a lot more expensive. I didn’t have to provide any evidence of previous prescription with that provider but I did exaggerate my weight and reduce my height.

I then switched to Swift Dr today as they were cheaper still. I stated my stats exactly as they are today and had no problems.

Hi all,

I am BMI 26.3, 11st 9lb, 5ft 6.

I would like to get down to at least 10st to get myself firmly within a ‘healthy’ BMI. I’ll reassess at that point whether I want to lose anymore. I really hope the jab is successful for me (I’m starting tomorrow!), I’ve lost and gained the same 10lb since having my second child.

Lorrrrrre · 24/06/2026 18:05

I was discussing this on my own thread, but one of the things I have found challenging when trying to lose weight ‘naturally’ (no WLI), is that when you are not hugely overweight you have to have so few calories to actually shift any weight, it’s really difficult to maintain a diet plan of 1200 or so calories.

Proteinpudding · 24/06/2026 18:10

Totally agree, being on WLI is helping me stick to the healthy eating that I've been attempting to do on and off for the last five years. I can manage a few days at a time but I can't do consistently week in week out on 1300-1400 which is what I need to lose weight (with quite a high level of exercise, it would be lower otherwise)

I've had unfortunate timing this weekend with a high level of supression on a day where I was doing a lot of physical activity (dance workshops) and it's meant I've had to force myself to eat because my legs were feeling like lead. I don't think I'll actually lose because my appetite was back on other days where I was far more sedentary, annoyingly! Hope I can get on a bit more of a sensible pattern soon.

Little update from me re above, I thought I'd lost the benefit of the wegovy as I hadn't noticed any supression and had been pretty hungry/craving on some days, and ate extra without really noticing until afterwards. But I've had a couple of good days (and I'm sure I couldn't have stuck to these portions without WLI) and today I'm down to 60.1kg! Tantalisingly close to getting back in the 50s, it's been a while!

Summervibes83 · 26/06/2026 10:58

That's good to hear @Proteinpudding. I feel like I'm going much more slowly/getting less effect now, despite moving up to 0.5 Wegovy I've only lost a couple of pounds in the last 2 weeks or so - I lost almost a stone in the first 4! Not sure whether I should step up to 1mg next pen, I'm a bit worried about side effects. I've only got half a stone to go to be at my ideal weight, so I'm still pleased, but it's a bit frustrating to be going so slowly now.

thepittfan · 26/06/2026 11:44

Hi I’m joining here now I’ve done my first injection!

jazzflute · 26/06/2026 12:31

Hi all: 5 ft 3.5, SW: around 70.5-71.5kg. CW: 65.7kg TW:60kg

I'm on Wegovy - this is my 10th injection. First 8 weeks I stuck to 0.25 - today was my second injection on 0.5. I haven't had any really noticeable change in side effects which were very mild anyway which I was worried about moving up. I went to a big birthday party the day after my first 0.5 injection and was able to have a drink and a lovely time, but didn't overdo it and therefore felt a lot better than most the next day! I had stalled at 67kg for three weeks prior to moving up but the scale has moved down at least 1kg this week which is great (though the heat has been making me not hungry as well!). Just a little update for anyone trying to decide whether to move up to 0.5. - didn't have any adverse effects for me and has definitely kickstarted weightloss again!

Proteinpudding · 26/06/2026 12:39

@Summervibes83 a couple of pounds in two weeks is still good going!

@jazzflute congrats on your progress and glad to hear you've not had much didn't difference re side effects. I'm sticking to 0.25, partly because of cost but also because so far it's just enough to help me lose while still having to work at it - which is what I'll need to do if I come off! (I've no moral objection to staying on them on a low dose, just not sure if it's practical re cost and logistics of getting prescriptions)

Farmwifefarmlife · 26/06/2026 12:47

I’m very similar to you, I’ve lost 1st since Christmas by dieting but my mum tum just won’t shift! Iv got 1.5-2st too loose too. I’ve just received my Voy package today nervous about taking the first does! Hoping not to many side affects!
im also going to really try and tackle my diet & add in some exercise.

I think that’s a really good loss in a short amount of time.

I’ve definitely felt less suppression recently and less of the very mild nausea I experienced if I didn’t eat often. But I still losing on 0.25 Weg and very near to thinking about maintaining.

kljdslhs877 · 26/06/2026 15:23

So I’m realising after assessing some symptoms I’ve had over a number of years (that are recently getting worse and originally blamed on low blood pressure) that I might have POTS, I’m starting to track the active stand data daily for a week and will see how that goes. So worried if I can’t continue on MJ though :(

ive been signposted to this thread from one of my own. I’m 10stone5, 5ft3 bmi 25.7 and constant food noise. considering mounjaro. I think I can get it on medexpress? Looking for pros/cons and others experiences. Will I even be approved? I’m at payment page but can I be turned down after I’ve paid does anyone know? Thanks x

Eek, I've just signed up. At 5'2" I've hit BMI 27 and haven't been below 10st for a good while despite trying with portion control to increase veg and ease off the carbs. Any tiny set back and all progress is undone and I can't seem to regain ground after things like Christmas, holidays or running injuries. I can maintain but just struggle cutting back hard enough to make any serious dents.

It's just felt a slog of one step forwards and two steps back since turning 40 in the lockdowns.

My diet is generally good, I exercise regularly. It's just hard as a small middle-aged woman to cut back sensibly without being unrealistically punitive.

🤞that this manages my appetite so it's more in tune with what my body needs...

Yes you can be turned down after payment and refunded. But there are other pharmacies so don’t fret. Lots of people on this thread have started with Voy if MedExpress doesn’t work out.

I’ve just signed up for mounjaro on medexpress but have been scheduled a video call. Anyone else had one?

I did. It was a ten minute chat with a doctor who asked some obvious questions (have I tried diet/exercise, any weight related aches/pains etc) and then dug into my medical history (cancer). They were very thorough.

ive seen a few threads on Reddit people with pots and managing ok, do you mind me asking what your symptoms are? I also have low BP, episodes of passing out etc

thepittfan · 27/06/2026 07:57

Yes, you can be turned down after paying, but they will refund you! (Ask me how I know, lol) it’s annoying I wish they could verify first!

Proteinpudding · 28/06/2026 10:49

Ugh, feeling very cringe worthy now - I had my new pen in the fridge, DH has obviously seen it as it's been moved (he picked up a top up shop and decided to have a fridge clear out before putting it away, usually I do all the shopping)
He hasn't mentioned it. I don't know if he'll have taken a proper look or if he'd know what it was. He hasn't brought it up though and I don't know if I should!!

Its not that I'd be worried about his response, I am a very private person by nature and my only worry is being a little bit embarrassed that I've not been able to lose weight with willpower alone (he's naturally very lean and has a small appetite without trying)

SandwichesAndGingerBeer · 28/06/2026 11:11

Has anyone on here come to the end of their jabs now? I have my last dose next week, I’m not quite a goal, I wasn’t planning on getting more or moving to maintenance but I’m nervous about hunger returning and see Boots now have it available for £80.

Just wondering about experiences of coming off it.
