Starting on jab 9 today - first week of my last pen (wegovy .5)

I’m 68.8kg today, down from 74.5kg. I’m hoping to get to 66kg but that feels unlikely given I only lost .3kg in the last week!

maybethisway · 12/06/2026 10:01

Today is 4 weeks since I started -

SW - 66.1kg

Week 1: 63.7kgs (-2.4kgs)
Week 2: 62.3kgs (-1.4kgs)
Week 3: 60.7kgs (-1.6kgs)
Week 4: 60.0kgs (-0.7kgs)

Total loss: 6.1kgs / 13.5lbs

60kgs was my GW but I am getting one more pen to go down a bit more then taper off. I am a bit loathed to come off it TBH, I have barely drunk since I started and I struggle to moderate my drinking - that's been pretty life changing for me.

SandwichesAndGingerBeer · 12/06/2026 10:39

@maybethisway gosh that’s impressive! It’s taken me 8 weeks to lose 6kg :)

Are you on mounjaro or wegovy?

maybethisway · 12/06/2026 11:27

@SandwichesAndGingerBeer I'm on mounjaro. I've found the suppression has been really high, especially at the beginning and I have been super busy (I have 2 small kids, a full time job and a property renovation to contend with) so I probably didn't really invested the time required to make sure I ate enough. I am eating more now (as you can see from the losses) which is obviously better health wise and I feel more energetic too.

IDontKnowWhatYouMean · 12/06/2026 13:58

I've just taken the fourth jab from my final Voy pen, but I have been click-dosing so in fact I have 2 weeks still left.
The cancellation process with Voy was very easy. They do keep sending lots of offers, but only for the subscription plans, I don't want to commit to more than one month.
I'm still undecided about transferring providers and trying to get another prescription from Lotus or MedExpress. If I can lose another 3 or 4 pounds in the next 2/3 weeks before I run out, I'll be happy. But I'm now wondering whether it would be a good idea to keep up the prescription in order to have access to the tablet version?
The pills are available with Voy with delivery from July, I'm not sure if that's the same with other providers.

Notcreativeenoughforagoodname · 12/06/2026 14:23

@Jenbot78 I’m currently with Juniper and coming up to my 3rd dose. They have a money back guarantee if you cancel in the first 28 days. You just have to fill out the online contact form. I filled it out Monday morning and had received my refund by lunchtime. Now I’m moving to Bolt as they are doing 0.5mg for £89. I can share a code with you if you choose to go with them. 😊

Notcreativeenoughforagoodname · 12/06/2026 14:26

@IDontKnowWhatYouMean from what I’ve read, the pills are only available from July and if someone offers you them before they wouldn’t be the legitimate pills. I’m so forgetful so I’m going to stick to jabs atm as I’m early on in my weight loss journey but I think they’d probably be great for maintaining.

Proteinpudding · 12/06/2026 14:38

SandwichesAndGingerBeer · 11/06/2026 14:17

Anyone rise getting a bit tired of this? 😆. I’m looking forward to just being able to eat full calories and focus on exercise. Four more weeks to go…

I also think I’m going to settle at a higher goal weight than I originally thought. I notice my face is much thinner now at my current weight than it was when I was last this weight. I don’t want to end up looking hollowed out, so I think I’m going to look to stop my weight loss at a BMI of 23, rather than lower numbers.

I’m already feeling much better about myself as it is, and I think it will be easier to maintain if I’ve not gone into the lower healthy range.

I'm feeling this a little, I did my fourth jab this week but I missed the day, then delayed it as couldn't decide when was a good day to do it and I think underlying was a bit of being fed up of thinking about food & diet. I don't think I've eaten lots more this week but I haven't been planning as well as I had been, so there's been more convenient & less healthy items than usual. Not much fruit or veg!
But I did finally jab yesterday and I'm feeling the difference today. I'll be happy if I've maintained this week, don't expect to lose anything.

I think this is normally when I'd give up a 'diet' and I suppose it's natural for motivation to wane even with the advantage the drugs give.

OnTheTop · 13/06/2026 13:19

Great to hear how everyone is getting on.

It’s my ninth jab tomorrow (0.25 Wev). I’ve had another good loss this week. My starting BMI was 25.5 and today I’m 23.6. I’m firmly in the “9 stone something” bracket which I am THRILLED about.

Interestingly I’ve had a week where I haven’t had as much obvious suppression or that feeling of needing to eat little and often, but that might be linked to my period.

I know I keep saying it but there’s no way I could have done this without the jabs.

ConnieClue · 15/06/2026 20:11

Hello! Have had my first pen sitting in the fridge for a week now. Decided to start tomorrow!

On that note, do people generally prefer morning jabs or evening? I'm working from home tomorrow, hence choosing to start then, as I'm so worried about side effects.

I have a similar starting weight/height to thr original op. 😊

I do mid-morning.

I have never had any nasty side effects but if you do get any, they tend to not come on straight away. Maybe after a day or 2. Peak suppression is day 3-4 for me.

I was just going to switch to Lotus and do another month, but right at the end they require GP details. I don't want to give that info.
Has anyone switched providers to reduce the price and not given GP details? SwiftDoctor?

ConnieClue · 15/06/2026 22:08

Thank you for that @Beachforever that's interesting about the side effects not coming on for a few days. I'm going to go for it anyway tomorrow & hope for the best, otherwise will never get started!

Apologies, must've been thinking of another op from another thread re starting weight/height. My starting bmi is just under 25.

Sorry to quote myself - I've gone with Swift Doctor.

Their pricing is exactly the same for 0.25/0.5/1mg Wegovy. I went for the 0.5 as I'm happy to click dose for an extra couple of weeks at .375, but I'm not comfortable making it last significantly longer than that.
Hopefully I'll be accepted tomorrow.

It doesn't mention anything about future orders - I have no idea if they automatically keep sending the product every month unless you proactively change the date or cancel.

They’ll probably email you about 3.5 weeks time to remind you to order again but you have up to 8 weeks. You’ll need to put the order in.

Thanks - that’s just the level of low commitment I’m looking for.

The order was approved overnight and has already been dispatched.

Can i ask what you needed to provide for the consultation? Did you need to do a video call or just photos? what is your current BMI if you don't mind me asking?

ConnieClue · 16/06/2026 09:23

First dose done! 🥳

Btw I didn't have to provide gp details or have a call or anything, just afull length photo.

Well done! The first one is a bit nerve wracking!

Which provider did you use?

It was all done without a live consultation.
I had to fill in the usual personal/medical details online and upload photos of ID and the label on my current prescription. Also had to upload a short video showing full length body in non-baggy clothes, saying the date, and stepping onto the scales, showing weight. The video was just a few seconds long.

Current BMI is 24 but I did the weigh-in video late evening with jeans and heavy shoes on (I was 5lbs heavier than this morning!), BMI would have been over 25 on that calculation.

So it’s week 9 day 1 for me today.

After not losing much for a couple of weeks, I’ve lost almost 2kg this week following upping my dose to 2mg.

I’m now 1kg below my GW and so going to taper down over the next 7 weeks to my holiday and hopefully remain at this weight. I don’t want to lose any more but would also like to stay at 1kg under by the time I stop so that it doesn’t matter if I put a bit on.

So i’m going to do 1.5mg today.

I’m still undecided whether or not to stay on MJ on a tiny dose. I’m considering ordering a new pen to have just in case so I don’t need to go through the hassle of re-registering. Ideally, I’d like to just wait until after my 2 week holiday and see how I feel.

Congrats @Beachforever it is hard isn't it, I can feel the 'pull' of wanting access to WLI as security, even though on paper I know I'm not the sort of candidate who should be on a maintenance dose (ie dont have long-standing difficulties with obesity)

I missed my dose last week and ended up taking it three days late and I definitely feel the change of the levels dropping. I am still tracking and my totals look similar to usual, but I haven't been making as good choices (eg more eating out and snacking) so I'm not sure if my calorie counting is accurate. I haven't lost any more weight though haven't gained so hoping that's a positive... Trying to get my focus back! I've lost 3.5kg overall in a month so I think that's a good rate, and I wouldn't have done that without WLI.

OnTheTop · 16/06/2026 14:00

@Beachforeverwell done on the loss. I’m at a very similar point in this experience, wondering how to best manage this next bit.

Therulerofmyhouse · 17/06/2026 19:38

Posted on old thread by accident so thought I’d add here!
i’ve upped my dose to 3.75mg as I had a few weeks of no movement down in weight and now I’m losing and putting the same kilo back on! Last 2.5mg dose definitely seemed to wear off completely after 4 days. Just did dose 10 and hoping the increase kick starts the loss again as I really want to hit my goal weight by my daughters wedding end of July.
