I've done 8.5 weeks this time around and weight loss feels very slow as I’ve been losing and gaining the same pound for 3 weeks. Worked out that I’ve lost 8 pounds in the 8 weeks which is a good loss if I think of it like that.
I lost 19 pounds the first time and now 8 pounds so in a year I’ve lost 27 pounds or 17% of my starting weight which is actually a lot. It’s been hard to feel it with it coming off gradually. Still no one has noticed though!

I’m now in an an annoying stage where my clothes are baggy and shapeless but still fit. I also have a fear of putting it all back on.

Are you all keeping your now too big clothes?

Just started week 4 of 0.25 Wegovy, the suppression has never been great after the first week (which felt amazing - is this how ‘normal people’ feel?!), however I’ve lost another 2lbs this week despite going over my calories most days. So 7lbs down in total. I’m looking forward to starting 0.5 next week and hopefully not thinking about snacking for a while!

7lbs in 3 weeks is great! I’m starting Week 6 today and am on 7lbs loss as well so it’s coming off slower for me.

I’m finding it different to you, I didn’t feel much different the first week but by week 4 the suppression was really strong. I’m still losing very slowly despite eating very little which I don’t understand but couldn’t realistically eat any less (yesterday I couldn’t face breakfast or dinner and only had a light lunch - 500 calories max). I did get a 0.5 pen for the second month but I’m micro-dosing 0.25mg from it whilst that is still suppressing my appetite so well - even though weight loss is still super slow.

If you’re going over calories but still losing weight that’s great, wish that would work for me! If you move to the 0.5mg pen and reduce calories further then you should see even more weight loss - good luck.

NellieTheElephant1 · 02/09/2026 07:56

@BlondieQueen well they say slow and steady is best for weight loss, and hopefully you’ll save a bit of money by taking 0.25 from the 0.5 pen. How much more do you need to lose to get to goal? I’m 5’3 and started at 10st 7, ideal weight would be 9st but as I’m post menopausal I’m thinking 9st 7 is more realistic for long term maintenance.

AnotherPidgey · 02/09/2026 23:02

I've gone on to my 0.5 pen a day early as I wasn't feeling much effect and I've plateaued in the last couple of weeks.

I'm feeling less bloaty, but kind of squishy in a deflated kind of way. Hopefully that should settle with time. Some clothes that were getting uncomfortably snug have felt more wearable.

If anything ends up too big, I'll hold on to it as I'm sure I'll creep back up with time anyway, such is life. Yes it will yo-yo, but not in a bingey way, just as I'm not trying to lose too rapidly as I want my body to have energy and adjust.

Yes, absolutely. I’d just hoped it would be a bit quicker but it’s fine. I’m very similar to you, started at 10 stone 12lb and want to get to 9 stone (I’m 5’6) then will try to keep it in the 9s forever! I’m nearly 50 but not menopausal yet, that I’m aware of… other than weight around the middle is very slow to shift! Good luck with your journey too.

mirrorleggingssock · 03/09/2026 09:11

Likewise I’ve had a slow experience so far but with hindsight I think it’s ok and it’s meant no questions. I started mid-April. 2 stone to lose and I’m 5ft so it all really shows and all goes to my middle. I’ve been on wegovy 0.25 - had an initial 6lb loss first pen and since then it’s been really slow but I have had a week off here and there where I’ve had holidays etc and didn’t want it to be obvious to others/wanted to indulge. My partner knows but that’s it. I think because it’s been slow no-one has twigged but as I know some people feel strongly about it I haven’t wanted to share. I’ve lost a stone in total now. Have a couple of 0.5 pens sitting and a bit concerned about side effects. Have mostly been ok - couple of times have been sick but it’s always been when I’ve over eaten/eaten something fried. Like others I don’t know how long to go for. Tempted to order another couple of 0.25 to finish off if I can or leave them in the fridge as back ups if I hit target sooner since they have a longish shelf life. If I hit target that would be my pre-covid weight and the weight I’d been all my adult life up until that point.

Proteinpudding · 03/09/2026 10:24

I weighed myself on a whim this morning and was surprised to see a kilo down from a few days ago - think it might be fluctuations due to my cycle, happy if that had hidden some weight loss!
Started in may 64kg, today 57.5kg. Still feel I look bigger than I expected this weight to look though, so I'm not sure where my target weight will be!!

snowgirl1 · 03/09/2026 16:16

I got back from holiday on Tuesday - I had decided not to take my weekly Wegovy jab (0.25mg) while on holiday for just over two weeks because I'd been ill (vomiting, diarrhea - felt awful for two days) after the last jab. I did eat more while on holiday and hoped I wouldn't put too much weight back on - I was shocked to find I'd lost 0.3kg. I hope that's a sign I can maintain when I stop Wegovy but it's more likely because it was still in my system. I was a bit apprehensive about having a jab this week after feeling so awful last time, but so far so good.

It's 7.5 weeks since I started Wegovey and just taken my 6th jab. I've lost 6.3kgs so far. I think I've got about the same to go until I get to my target weight, but probably more slowly.

jazzflute · 04/09/2026 09:03

Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone here has gone up from 0.5mg Wegovy to 1mg? I'm considering doing that today as I've plateaued now for 6 weeks (this included a two week holiday where I didn't really worry about what I ate). It's been the school holidays too so I think I've been snacking or eating crap more. I'm still full easily on the 0.5mg but the weight loss has just stopped. I just get really nervous again when I've moved up - like the side effects (I've not had much at all) will suddenly hit me hard!

Learningdutch · 04/09/2026 09:24

I have and despite wasting part of first jab was quite nauseous. Yesterday took second jab and click counted to .75. Still a bit nauseous.

Was nausea a side effect you'd had before with first pen or last time you increased?

Learningdutch · 04/09/2026 11:01

Yes I had nausea at the start with first pen but not really after that. Im not totally sure, funny how your memory is! Going on holiday on 12th and think I will miss jab due on 10th as I'm going on yacht cruise so definitely don't want to be feeling sick!

BeEagerRubyBird · 05/09/2026 13:53

I've also stepped up from 0.5 to 1mg as I was no longer really losing on 0.5 (slightly concerning as I'm close to goal but was hoping my maintenance dose would be less than 0.5!)

I am definitely now seeing more suppression but a bit more nausea too yes, I'm hoping that will settle. I've only done one week on 1 so far.

One thing I wanted to ask though, I am feeling generally unwell - achy all over, headache, fatigue. I previously stepped up to 1 for a week and had similar, but thought it was a bug. Now I'm wondering whether it could be the Wegovy? Has anyone else experienced this? It might just be a coincidence of course! TIA

Proteinpudding · 05/09/2026 20:38

I've felt headachey and tired on wegovy, especially the day after jabbing. For me it seemed to create tension in my jaw/temples which gave the headachey feeling, and just generally tired. It was short lived though, hope it will be for you too!

kljdslhs877 · 08/09/2026 08:06

@OnTheTop oh that seems strange, what is your BMI now? I thought maintenance was fine. You could always take your prescription box to someone else if you wanted to stock up on some more pens.

BMI 20.8 now, like you @Proteinpudding I’m still confused as to why I don’t look how I feel I should at this weight! But focussing on health and strength now. I’m doing one more 3.75, then going down to 2.5 for maintenance. I don’t seem to be getting any SE at all now which is nice!

OnTheTop · 09/09/2026 21:09

Thanks @kljdslhs877I might try Voy to see if I can get a few pens as a back up. Nothing ventured!
The doctor on the call basically said she wouldn’t have approved me from my original weight/photos if she had done my initial call, even though my BMI was over 25 🤷‍♀️ .
My current BMI is between 22.5 and 23.5.

kljdslhs877 · 09/09/2026 21:14

@OnTheTop oh weird, try SwiftDr, much cheaper than Voy, I had a similar BMI when I switched to them, I just had to do a video standing on the scales.

OnTheTop · 09/09/2026 21:17

Oh great, thanks @kljdslhs877

Iv seen a few people comment about Medexpress clinician's being stricter then how ME market themselves. But then I guess it's the companies goal to attract as many new customers as possible, whereas the clinicians who are prescribing have to do what they believe is right by the guidelines, and what they're comfortable defending if anything were to go wrong, so I can see how it happens.

I got my prescription through voy, and whilst they did prescribe to me at BMI 26, I did find the assessor more thorough than what I'd heard other people had had (also through voy)

OnTheTop · 10/09/2026 10:46

Thanks@Proteinpuddingthat’s useful to know.

AmIReallyTheGrownup · 10/09/2026 11:10

I used Voy initially then switched to Medexpress as Voy wanted £230 for my next pen and Medexpress wanted £126 (with a code). It was extremely easy to switch, provided a photo and approved a few hours later. My current BMI is a bit over 25.

OnTheTop · 11/09/2026 17:48

Ok, so Voy approved me without a call and recommended I go a dose higher than I have been on since starting in April 😳.

Bit of a weird clinical decision but as I’m microdosing for maintenance I went with it, because it’s more cost effective. I can use the pens for longer.

AxisofEvelKnievel · 11/09/2026 18:21

Down to 75 kg from 77 kg last Friday. That is a loss of 3.5 kg in total since August 29th (jab 1). If this happens again with Mounjaro jab no 3 (this Saturday, ie tomorrow) I will be staying on 2.5 for my second month. I’ve had no side effects apart from audible burps in the first half of the week, but they haven’t been sulphurous—just noisy!

I’m with Voy btw—they originally approved me at BMI 25.1. I am tall so it doesn’t take a lot to make me look like a big unit.

AnotherPidgey · 13/09/2026 20:55

I've been on a bit of a plateau in the past month, but seem to be shifting it down again since my second dose of 0.5mg earlier this week. I'm also back in term time routine and step count back up again which helps after holiday season.

I'm now back at the lowest I've been in the last few years having briefly touched around here last summer before going on holiday and struggling to get back down since. I think there's a bit more flex to go further, plus I'm still injured which makes maintainence harder and easier to gain a week here and there so the project continues.
