ive seen a few threads on Reddit people with pots and managing ok, do you mind me asking what your symptoms are? I also have low BP, episodes of passing out etc

Predominantly issues standing up, light headed standing up. There’s a link with hormones, anxiety and IBS. MJ can exasperate symptoms. I’ve done a couple of active stand tests and my data looks classic PoTS thus far (heart rate jumps and remains 30 bpm beyond the 2/5/10 mins). But I want to collect more data on days it’s cooler, I’m better hydrated and I’m at different points of my cycle before seeing a GP.

Has anyone on here come to the end of their jabs now? I have my last dose next week, I’m not quite a goal, I wasn’t planning on getting more or moving to maintenance but I’m nervous about hunger returning and see Boots now have it available for £80.

Just wondering about experiences of coming off it.

£80? Is that for Mounjaro?

I have read that it can help with IBS-D because mounjaro slows everything down 🙂

Yes, I’ve been on it since January. It can do, but it’s a bit unpredictable, I can have weeks of no IBS symptoms and then an extreme not very nice day! I had a pretty tough time on holiday when my routine changed. I’m finding MJ exacerbates my anxiety a little which in itself causes issues with IBS. So that’s why I’m exploring PoTS to see how I can get myself regulated a little better, throw in possible early peri into the mix and it’s a quagmire 😫

But on the whole my experience has been positive and I’ve already chosen to stay on it, if they let me!

I didn’t end up starting this week because I was in a flare up, it’s settling now so hoping I can start this week. I usually get flare ups a couple of times a month, so any easing of that would be welcome. Hopefully you can stay on x

I've got my starter pack. I'm waiting for my DOMS to settle after running a half-marathon at the weekend, so I need the energy to recover in the next couple of days. I've got a niggle that needs to settle so resting from running for a few weeks ahead and the summer holiays are on the horizon, so that's a classic time for a pound or two to sneak on which then takes months to settle. So I'm really hoping that over the summer my appetite can be brought in line with what my body actually needs.

My general diet is good, I'm very active. I just struggle to cut back hard enough to undo a holiday here, a Christmas there, an occasional social event, and being short and middle-aged it's hard to eat less than half of what my lanky teenagers and 6ft husband need. Oh and plus a carby, hungry luteal phase for 10 days out of every 27🙄

I'd like to get back to a BMI around 23-24, and undo the gradual creep of the past 6 years since lockdown.
