That is true, its hard for me to get used to eating less. I feel bad as my DH does all the cooking, and I then cant finish. He is starting to give me a slightly smaller portion now he has got used to it though! Same with eating out, I have not lost my love for food but dont want to order a large meal and only eat half and waste food/money. But I guess I just need to get over that! Either that or only order starters forever.

Off on holiday in a couple weeks with 3 families that we always go with and I'll be surprised if I dont get comments about why I've not had an ice cream, packet of crisps, more wine etc because I always usually go all out on holiday and stuff myself. Hoping all of it so far isnt a placebo that I can bypass when it comes to it!

Astravanga · 03/08/2026 18:13

Haha good luck on your holiday @Sanch1 if you're anything like me, you might be able to eat more than you want but it won't be very comfortable! Let us know how it goes!

I'm awaiting my next pen in the post...

Emowoman90 · 03/08/2026 20:02

I've just came off my holiday and I'll have to admit I did indulge with sweet treats but I'm happy to say I've maintained my weight which I think 4 hikes helped 😂. I've just ordered my 4th pen 0.25mg, I was going to dose up but I'm scared as I'm managing symptoms very well at the moment. If anyone has dosed up can you let me know how it went?, I'm thinking my next order I may possibly go up.

Sanch1 · 03/08/2026 22:36

I dosed up with no issues @Emowoman90, decided to stick at 0.5 this time though, as getting full and only get food noise day before my jab. I’d be overjoyed to maintain, although I don’t intend to keep up my normally full on exercise regime so that won’t help. I can normally put on 10-14lb so even half that would be a result 😂

I may have to dose up on my next one as food noise is becoming more and I'm not exercising as much as I have all last week, my issue is that I'm off when the kids are off (I work in a school) so I get more hungrier from boredom I feel like the 0.25mg isn't as affective, although today I've got really bad tummy pains.

TheDogsMother · 04/08/2026 14:26

I've just had my 10th jab. First four at 0.25, then four at 0.5 and now two at 1. They just automatically go up each month. Are you actively deciding to stay at 0.25 ?

TerrorAustralis · 04/08/2026 14:43

@TheDogsMother I’ve only had two pens, but the provider gave me a notification that the second one was going to be coming and gave me a chance to keep the dose the same. I didn’t reply, so it automatically increased.

I’m planning to stay on 0.5 for the next one. Need to get slow bowels sorted before I’m game to increase. Have tried Fybogel with limited improvement.

TheDogsMother · 04/08/2026 14:56

@TerrorAustralisthank you. I may stick with this dose as I’ve had a bit of nausea and bowel type symptoms. The suppression is good though. Certainly for six days out of seven.

blibblibs · 04/08/2026 15:17

My provider, Boots, emails to say I'm due another pen and asks if I would like to stay the same or increase.
I'll be starting my third 0.25 tonight. It's a day early cause we go away for a week first thing tomorrow.
The suppression isn't as good, but still there and the weight loss has definitely slowed down. However the bowels have almost stopped so I'm glad I have another month on 0.25.

Astravanga · 06/08/2026 18:59

I missed my delivery and had three extra days before my next injection. I have certainly felt the difference and been thinking about the next opportunity I could get my hands on some food 😂 Just like the old days! I have jabbed tonight and looking forward to being back to my 'new normal'.

Frieda86 · 06/08/2026 21:48

My coat fits!!!!!!! I wore a jacket this morning which about 4 weeks ago I couldn't zip up. Put it on this morning and it zipped so easily! No breathing in!!!!

Nofeckingway · 07/08/2026 03:17

I am on month 3 so increased to 1mg. as I thought that is what you are supposed to do . Especially as I didn't really feel I was eating much better. Vicious circle as then I don't want to exercise .

Injected last night and felt really sick and nauseous all day . Really horribly bad . Took all sorts to try and quell it . Avoided Motillium as have a heart condition.

Any suggestions or anyone else feel like this ? Will it pass ? Anything worked for you ? Would really really appreciate any advice . Won't be able to continue if it is like this .

WoIsMe · 07/08/2026 09:32

What a lovely feeling@Frieda86 better than seeing the scales go down!

0.5 mg to 1 mg seems like such a big jump @Nofeckingway are you feeling any better now? I think people do report a temporary increase in symptoms when they move up a dose so hopefully it will pass quickly. You don’t have to move up a dose unless you want to. The clinical trials moved everyone up a dose every four weeks so that everybody had the exact same treatment. Have you had much appetite suppression or noticed less food noise?

Nofeckingway · 07/08/2026 11:05

Oh is it ? What should I have done ? I didn't realize there was another dose . Feeling better today . But I wonder if I should try and get a lower dose.

Lexy2345 · 07/08/2026 14:23

First 0.5 today, feeling nervous. After no loss last week, I’m down another 2kg making it 10kg loss in total over 8 weeks. My appetite came back mid week which is why I decided to go up a dose. It’s too expensive for this treatment to fail!!

WoIsMe · 07/08/2026 14:41

I wouldn’t move back down a dose, especially as you said you didn’t think you were eating any better. But you don’t have to move up to 1.7 mg for your next pen unless you want to. The body builds up a tolerance for semaglutide over time so it’s normal to have to increase your dose if you don’t lose any weight for a few weeks.

Nofeckingway · 07/08/2026 17:16

Thanks for that . Yes, I do think I needed to go to 1 mg as I didn't feel like I was gaining anything from it yet . Have looked at some suggestions and trying to manage . One site said that maybe injecting in the thigh rather than stomach might help .

WoIsMe · 09/08/2026 08:12

It’s my 12-week weigh in today and I’m down exactly 12 lb! That’s 5.5 kg and 7% of my starting weight. 💪

Lexy2345 · 09/08/2026 11:56

My appetite is currently non existent and it’s difficult because I’m going for Sunday lunch at a friend’s house. I’m hoping she doesn’t plate up the roast so I can serve myself a very small portion, rather than be rude and leave half of it. I don’t want to tell anyone I’m using WLI. I’m not sure why, I don’t think I’d be judged.

Have you told people you’re using Wegovy?

Nofeckingway · 09/08/2026 13:42

I haven't told very many . Think it's because I don't want them looking at me to see weight loss results and it not happening fast .

On another note , last week I moved up to 1mg and was really sick for two days . Not a problem as I am fine now . But due to inject next week on holiday with a group and don't want to risk feeling bad . Is it OK to skip a week ?

WoIsMe · 09/08/2026 13:54

I haven’t told anyone except my DH, @Lexy2345 not even my kids or my mum. There’s too much negative information in the press and social media and I don’t want to get dragged into those conversations.

@Nofeckingway I think it’s fine to skip a few days or a week if you don’t want to risk side effects ruining your holiday. The medicine stays in your system for weeks so it shouldn’t make a big difference in the long run.

I’ve told 4 people, two of which have used WLI themselves, and two who haven’t but I know wouldn’t judge.

Astravanga · 09/08/2026 15:23

Congrats @WoIsMe you should be really proud of yourself!

@Nofeckingway Just to add another perspective, I missed my weekly jab by 3 days and have been feeling really rough in the days since taking it. This is the first time I've had any side effects really (can't guarantee it's from the Wegovy but doubtful it's anything else), I've had nausea and an upset stomach. So some people seem to skip doses with no problems, but others like me feel it!

Very glad to have some suppression of food noise back though as it was creeping back and I started my old raiding the cupboards!

Ive only told DH. Not sure why.

Sanch1 · 09/08/2026 18:33

Anyone travelled abroad with wegovy yet?

Were travelling to France by ferry so leaving home 6pm, overnight ferry, then travel through France and arrive at accommodation mid afternoon so will be out of fridge for nearly 24 hours.

I know under 30 degrees that’s fine but forecast for where we’re going is 27 ish the day of travel. Thinking of putting it in an insulated lunchbox with freezer cube thingy but that isn’t going to keep it cool for that long if it goes over 30. Any ideas? I could just skip it as I jab Tuesday and we get home Thursday but I’d rather not!
