I’ve used MedExpress. They didn’t send a sharps box and it has taken a few emails and 3 weeks to get them to say they will send one, no sign of it yet!

I will reserve judgement until ive re-ordered and see what they want to charge me!

mumisfull · 22/06/2026 16:05

I’m using Boots, mostly because it’s a name I know and I thought I could pop to a pharmacy if I had any problems. I’m sure you could get cheaper but I got bogged down with all the places to look!

Starrynight73 · 22/06/2026 16:24

Thank you all who have replied to my question. Im so overwhelmed from research, your feedback had been really helpful.

Umarshariffi · 22/06/2026 17:15

@Starrynight73
Im with Voy, happy with service so far, in depth app with chat features.
I have discount code if required.

All all, im so glad I found this thread. Im thinking of starting wegovy after many weeks of research. My currently stumbling block is where to order from? All trustpilot reviews have many negative feedback around lost deliveries, broken pens, pens being left out in the sun therefore, becoming unusable and general really poor customer service. This part worries me more than taking the jab.
Can anyone recommend or share their experiences so far with delivery and customer service please.

@Starrynight73 I'm also with Bolt - 4th jab tonight so only received one pen so far when it did come with a sharps box and they have been timely and easy to sort with next jab etc so my experience to date has been no problem at all. May or may not be relevant but with Bolt you can also get money off first order if you have a Blue Light Card.

blibblibs · 22/06/2026 18:15

I used Boots, because it was cheapest at the time, you get points and I wanted to collect it in person. First one was very easy, I'm hoping it's the same for the next one.

Before I started Weygovy last Tuesday, I read all the posts on this thread with great interest. It's lovely seeing all those positive posts, and for those struggling the help/support/advice others are reaching out with.

I did my first weigh in this morning (having purchased smart scales for this weight loss journey) and I'm so pleased I have lost 3.4lbs. ☺️

The only side effects I would say I have experienced is slight nausea. I drink lots of water anyway so that hasn't been a problem and I haven't experienced any headaches which I think is because I'm keeping on top of my water intake. In fact I've increased it to about 3 litres a day.

I already exercise, generally strength training 3 times a week and daily dog walk.

I do think I'm getting fuller quicker and I'm not so tempted to pick a bits.

I know Weygovy is generally slow weight loss which I'm happy about, slow and steady is what I want to be.

For anyone who hasn't got smart scales I highly recommend. I bought mine from Amazon for about £25 and the information they give is incredible 😳My BMI has gone down 1 in a week, in fact everything is heading in the right direction. 😄

@mumisfull@blibblibs I’m using Boots too. Did they give you a sharps box? Mine said I’d have to contact the council to get them to take mine away

You may be arrange to take it to a local pharmacy, or the local recycling centre.

I did get a box, and they said to take it back to them when full.
My drs will also take it if needed.

blibblibs · 23/06/2026 17:43

@Choice4567 I didn't get one, but luckily I can just take them into work and dispose of them

WoIsMe · 23/06/2026 17:57

You can buy a sharps box online. Once you have one, my local council will collect it when full and give you a new one so it might be worth checking that out.

Choice4567 · 23/06/2026 18:27

Hmm. I might ask again next time. When I asked if they had them she said no, and to phone the council. And that it was a private service so I’d have to pay the council to come and collect

blibblibs · 24/06/2026 05:59

Wednesday is weigh in day for me and I'm down 1lb on my second week . If I'm honest I'm a bit disappointed with just a 1lb but it's been 4lb over the last two weeks which I'm finding a better way to think of it.
I haven't had nearly as much suppression this week and I've definitely been hungry between meals and I've had a couple of chocolate bars this week ( the reason I'm doing this!) where as last week I didn't even think about having one.
Will jab tonight and see how the next week goes.

WoIsMe · 24/06/2026 06:51

@blibblibsI gained a pound in my second week so you’re doing better than me! I’m now down half a stone.

I’m not the poster you addressed but I’d be interested in the link. Thank you 🙏

I took my third jab on Monday. I've felt some suppression and have stopped eating way before I normally would have. We had a bbq for Father's Day and normally I wouldn't have been able to stop until I'd tried a bit of everything but I had lone burger, a small steak and salad and was stuffed (ate at 3 and didn't have anything until the following lunchtime).

I've been a little bit disappointed to find out I've only lost 2lbs. Telling myself I'm just acclimating but I'd hoped for more.

Dont be disappointed! That is a good healthy amount to lose. Losing too quickly isnt healthy, I'd be happy with that.

Sanch1 · 24/06/2026 09:39

Well I broke my 'only step on the scales once' rule today as I was flabbgergasted to have lost 6lb! With the 4lb from last week that is 10lb in two weeks, took my 3rd jab last night. I do think its mainly water though as I had put on 10lbs in a short period over before and over May half term when on holiday.

Also ordered my next dose today. After a lot of deliberation I went for 0.5 as although I have got rid of the food noise at 0.25 I dont feel like I really get much suppression or feeling of fullness. I figured if I get terrible side effects I can use the pen to go back to 0.25. Wad a bit more than I wanted to pay but think I will shop around next month when I know if 0.5 is the way to go. Have a code for MedExpress if anyone wants it.
