June 2026 Mounjaro Starters

Hi all,

Ive bit the bullet and have ordered and been accepted to start mounjaro through Voy.

something I’ve been debating for a while but finally decided to try it. I had a baby last year and have managed the get back down to pre baby weight, but still have a bit extra to lose, I want to lose around 1.5/2st.

I regularly exercise through swimming a few times a week but diet is very up and down hence being at a standstill with my weight, so wanted the extra help to create some better relationships with food. I’ll be good all week and then ruin it in a few days with takeaways and snacks!

Nervous but excited!

Wanted to make this thread for anyone else starting their journey soon! Anyone else in the same boat?

Yes I'm still eating quite a reasonable amount - I don't feel like I can't eat at all. Just feel a lot more in control and able to calorie count effectively. It takes a bit of effort but a whole lot easier than before where it felt impossibek to stick to a deficit tbh. Saying that, I'm only 6 days in, so don't know if anything will change as the weeks go by.

I actually woke up this morning and my tummy rumbled.

Going to delay my 2nd jab until tomorrow evening (it should be tomorrow morning but I have a really busy day out of the house & don't want to risk any side effects, even though all was fine last week.)

That sounds more like my experience so far @littleraecloud I feel like I’m just eating like a normal person - intentional modest meals - rather than constantly hunting for snacks and chocolate.

another 1.3kg off this week so that’s 5.2kg/11lbs in 3 weeks and officially the lowest my weight has been since I had DS (2.5).
Think I’m just going to stick with 2.5mg…the suppression isn’t always high now but I’m still able to make good choices with no side effects.

I was wondering where to get the syringes as well. Thanks to the other poster below for the link. When I was looking I could find loads available but they weren’t technically medical grade!
Not sure when the 2.5mg pens are changing. I suppose they will be using up stocks of the old pens with 5 doses and then roll them out after that

Jab day, not lost anything! Which is weird as I'm hardly eating- like a coffee, a protein yogurt, then a salad for dinner most days- no snacks or anything. Hoping for a big old woosh soon!

Didn’t know which second pen to order as have had some stomach discomfort but starting to get more food noise at times. Got 5mg but don’t want to do a full dose.

Im so impressed with it and wish I’d done it years ago. Just hoping it’ll keep working on low dose and doesn’t all creep up again when I finish

Weigh in and 4th jab today, down another 1.5 bringing me to 9.5 total. Was a bit lax on my water intake last week so aiming to improve that this week, especially with the heatwave.

Decided to order 2.5 as my next pen as I’m still getting strong suppression for the first few days and food noise only starts to creep back in on the last day which I can manage with a bit of will power.

Hey all, I took my second jab on Sunday.
SW 12 stone a a bit, now down to 11 stone 7.5, which I’m happy about. Had to go to my GP today due to a dry mouth and mouth ulcers which is apparently a side effect.

Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice. I’ve just been accepted and waiting for my first pen to arrive, excited and a little bit nervous to get started.
is there anything you wish you would have known before starting, anything I should stock up on and have in the house in case of side effects, supplements?

I stocked up on easy protein - high protein yoghurts, pre-cooked salmon, lentil pouches.

And I’m finding the Nutracheck app very helpful (7 day free trial at the moment but I will pay the £40 for a year soon as I think it is worth it)

Yesterday was my second jab and weigh in day. I lost 3lb which I'm pleased with, especially as my week involved a trip to London with work, a funeral and two nights at my parents' house so I didn't have full control over my food options. Hoping for a similar loss in week two.

Starting weight: 18st 7lb
Current weight: 18st 4lb
Loss so far: 3lb
Initial target weight: 12st 6lb

Will be taking my second jab tonight - it was meant to be this morning but have held off til this evening due to today's plans.

Started on 2nd June, so just did my 4th jab today. I’m just over 9lbs down in 3 weeks which I’m really happy about.

Went back and forth about what to do for strength of the next dose and have gone with increasing to 5mg, due to still having some food noise on days 5-7.

Appetite suppression not really noticed, but food noise just bloody disappeared - it’s unreal

Had absolutely atrocious diarrhoea and vomiting today, which I assume is a jab side effects- weird as it’s never happened to me before. Seemed to pass quite quickly (thank for on a day as hot as today!) and hopefully that’s the end of it.

Oh no @sweetpickle2 how awful! Glad it passed quickly though.

4th jab (2.5mg) today. 3rd weigh in. 1.1 lbs down so 8lb overall.

I have eaten nearer maintenance this week, as I’ve taken up weightlifting and picked my weighted hula hooping back up, so I’ve been hungrier - and I’ve included my alcohol too.

I’ve already ordered my 5mg pen for next time.

Still very nauseous this morning 😷cant eat anything. I wanted a woosh, but not like this!

If anyone wants high protein pasta, Barilla Protein Penne is in the Prime Day deals (I had some at lunch, it was OK, tasted close to normal pasta!)

Who does everybody use to get the jabs from?
And how much are you paying?
I went to Bolt - good initial first price but their customer service has been appalling.
Any reccomendations?

Another 2lb off in Week 3 - 9lbs in total. 4th jab today and going to reorder staying on 2.5mg. I did get an extra needle cap so I am wondering if pen will work to get a 5th dose out of it.

From reading on other threads. @Aftertheharvest , you need a different syringe to get anything further out of the pen, it won't give you a 5th dose otherwise.
