Hi all,

Ive bit the bullet and have ordered and been accepted to start mounjaro through Voy.

something I’ve been debating for a while but finally decided to try it. I had a baby last year and have managed the get back down to pre baby weight, but still have a bit extra to lose, I want to lose around 1.5/2st.

I regularly exercise through swimming a few times a week but diet is very up and down hence being at a standstill with my weight, so wanted the extra help to create some better relationships with food. I’ll be good all week and then ruin it in a few days with takeaways and snacks!

Nervous but excited!

Wanted to make this thread for anyone else starting their journey soon! Anyone else in the same boat?

Current weight: 12st 10 / 5ft5

Haven’t checked in for a while as it’s quite a quiet thread, compared to April and July ☹️. also why I first started MJ it was all encompassing, and now it’s just regular life.

ive posted before that I was a very slow starter and had a massive 6-8 week lull of virtually no loss after the first month. Well it seems I just wasn’t doing things linear at all, and looking at others’ results - my overall loss is there or there about.

starting weight 12:7.6? today’s weight 11:1.8 -
so pretty much a 20lb loss 🙌 and tantalisingly close to the 10 bracket.

HelenDenver · 07/10/2026 12:26

Ooh, close to 10 is amazing, well done @Sleepeazie !

HelenDenver · 07/10/2026 12:28

rosecbrm · 19/08/2026 08:14

Wow that’s amazing @petitdonkey, well done you!

strange isn’t it, after my 3rd dose I came down with a terrible sickness bug (definitely that as daughter and husband had it), so I had a weeks break before taking my fourth dose where I had the bad diarrhoea.

splitting the dose is a good idea to see how your body tolerates it! I’m glad you seem to be doing ok with it now!

Did you decide to go back on it, rose, or were the side effects too much?

rosecbrm · 07/10/2026 13:05

Hey @HelenDenverI didn’t in the end, mostly because of cost tbh and I had a toddler so didn’t want to risk the side effects again! How are you getting on?

I had a NSL today! Non scale loss - a ring! I thought the ring was still snug enough but it somehow must have been tugged off (that's a funny word) when I was delving into some boxes. I should find it at some point! Sorry just a warning for you all, rings can fall off when you least expect it!

LetitGoDLP · 08/10/2026 06:15

@Shortsally42 I hope it turns up soon. My ring fell off a couple of weeks ago, luckily I noticed at the time, I was in Sainsbury’s picking up yogurts and it fell in the display. I’ve stopped wearing them just incase as when I’m not cold they are fine but if cold it could happen again.

Thank you. Yes I was cold at the time too. I found it today caught on the hook of something. I knew it must have snagged rather than just fallen off!

Shortsally42 · 08/10/2026 14:56

NSV The winter walking trousers I didn't fit into last year already fit for this year. I have 4 kgs exactly to goal (64.1kg) so trousers should still fit when I get hit target!

LetitGoDLP · 08/10/2026 18:16

@Shortsally42 glad you found them and your trousers are fitting, you are on a roll with the NSV’s, definitely good for a boost!

Good morning all ❤️ Weeks 15 and 16 completed on 2.5mg maintenance and I’ve lost 3lb. Now taking me to 11st 2lb and a total of loss 3st 10lb. I’m hoping that my weight loss will stop over the coming weeks and I’ll maintain at this weight as I feel really good. Any tips for maintenance much appreciated! Jab 17 this morning. Hope everyone is well and has a good day xx

Start date: 18.06.26
SW: 14st 12lb
BMI: 28.2 (additional weight related condition)
CW (week 16): 11st 2lb
Total lost : 3st 10lb
Current BMI: 21.2

TW : 11st 7lb / BMI: 21.8 ✅

LetitGoDLP · 09/10/2026 06:17

There are maintenance boards @Chiffchaff7 I know for me it’s a long way off and likely others too so I haven’t even thought about it as firmly in the needing to loose stage.

HelenDenver · 09/10/2026 07:01

@rosecbrm I’m getting on pretty well, thank you, over two stone down and not got bad side effects. Legs are looking firmer and clothes are looser! Got a long way to go through so I think I will be on the jabs until at least next summer.

@Sleepeazie how are your wedding plans going, must be close now!

@HelenDenver I have been rather stressed 😩 maybe helping the weight loss too…

This weeks’ stress was getting chased for the final venue payment, that i’d paid a couple of days before. Trying not to have a breakdown whilst they took 24 hours to consile it.

however, I have had a mini dress rehearsal and I’m really pleased with how my dress (ordered to measure when I was half a stone heavier) sits now.

I’m gradually starting to get excited.

Thanks for asking Helen 😊.

Has anybody else got occasions coming up, that have inspired their weight loss journeys? X

HelenDenver · 09/10/2026 08:54

Uuughhh that’s ao stressful not knowing for sure where the money is!! Glad it got sorted and that your dress is looking good :-)

Not quite the 12 something club but did make it to 13 stone! Still a way to go as Im only just 5ft, but noticing a few small changes.

Another rough week with mum. Obviously not her fault but I'm beat. Completely sucks having no one else to share the burden with. Alzheimers and all kinds of dementia are shit.

Going to keep on keeping on till we get there.

Sorry you’ve had a rough week. Alzheimers is the pits 🌺. Your mum is lucky to have you x

Broke out the autumn wardrobe this week and it looks like I’m going to have to do some shopping! All my jeans go on ok but are falling down when I move around.

I’ve had a month of very little loss, illness and crazy times, so had some time off but I haven’t put any weight back on at least. I’ve not been eating a lot but it hasn’t been particularly healthy. I’m back on it tomorrow and dialling up a notch.

One thing I’m peeved about is that I’ve developed a pretty noticeable turkey neck (I’m 45 and peri). I’m Googling neck exercises and micro-current devices etc!

LetitGoDLP · 14/10/2026 10:24

4st loss achieved today, halfway to my initial target loss of 8st which is mind blowing.

Shortsally42 · 14/10/2026 16:43

Congratulations @LetitGoDLP and @ElviraZoffany Excellent progress!

childfreebychoice · 14/10/2026 16:51

I've not posted in here for a while so thought I'd check in with a little update. Last week my weight stayed the same for no discernible, but this week things were back to normal with a 2lb loss, just when I was starting to think about increasing my dose to 5mg! I'm in no real rush to get to target, worried about loose skin if I lose to quickly, and need enough calories to be able to go to the gym 4 times a week, so I'm going to stick at 2.5mg for now and review in a few weeks.

Start date: 15 June 2026
Starting weight: 18st 7lb
Current weight: 16st 9lb
Loss so far: 1 stone 12lb
Initial target weight: 12st 6lb

Chiffchaff7 · 16/10/2026 06:28

Good morning all ❤️ Week 17 completed on 2.5mg and I’ve lost 2lb. Now taking me to 11st exactly and a total of loss 3st 12lb. I’ve lowered my target to 10st 12lb. I’m 6ft tall and, in my opinion, don’t want to go any lower than that. Jab 18 this morning. Hope everyone is well and has a good week xx

Start date: 18.06.26
SW: 14st 12lb
BMI: 28.2 (additional weight related condition)
CW (week 17): 11st 0lb
Total lost : 3st 12lb
Current BMI: 20.9

1st TW: 11st 7lb / BMI: 21.8 ✅
Final TW: 10st 12lb / BMI: 20.6

Seagullsandsausagerolls · 19/10/2026 11:20

Congratulations its fabulous to see the progress.

Today I weighed in at 12.11. I know this is not quite realistic and more because Ive had D&V. Still Ive made it into the 12 stone bracket.

This time last year I was 15.9 so its a win either way.

Notweirdatall · 19/10/2026 14:56

Hi all. I’m just back from holiday today and thought I’d give an update! I started MJ wanting to lose ahead of our sun holiday and was really happy I had done it, although also know I have another way to go! I was happily wearing size 14 shorts, as opposed to an 18 last summer, which felt good.

I didn’t take the meds with me - I just jabbed a day early in the way out and a day late on the way back. Enjoyed the all inclusive, just naturally more drawn to salad and smaller portions and even managed a few cocktails by the pool, despite not generally drinking at all since starting on the journey.

Put on 4 lb while away do just need to refocus on the good habits to shift the next 2 stone to get to target 😆

Well done @Chiffchaff7 at getting to the maintenance stage - must feel awesome 🙌

Good morning all ❤️ Week 18 completed on 2.5mg and I’ve lost my final 3lb. Taking me to 10st 11lb and 4st 1lb lost since I started my journey back in June. It’s happened a lot faster than I could have imagined and I’m glad I stayed on 2.5mg for the duration! Navigating maintenance is my next challenge! Hope everyone is well and has a good week xx
