@TragicMuse Can so relate. My stomach feels huge and squishy and like bags of flab. Yet. Clothes are bigger and I clearly am smaller overall...
@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne Im just catching up and knew youd come out of hospital but didnt realise youd gone back in again. So much care from down here. So sorry you are going through this 💐💐Wishes I could do more than sending virual flowers. How are things today?
@PositiveAttitude Wow congratulations on your one year anniversary 🥳🥳. I absolutely love reading peoples reflections after a year. It truly is lifechanging isnt it. And you look amazing 🥰.
@Billybingbong What a fab GP! And how wonderful to see physical data and clinical results that this has impacted your health 😊. Thats amazing to have halved your meds! I would love a Dexa scan and moght save up for one. My mum has osteoporosis. My GP was more complimentary about MJ than the NP I saw a year ago was. She prescri ed me the hrt amd similarly advised re weight training on MJ. I had been so religious about it this time last year but ... stopped...
@PearlsTeapot wahoooooo!!!!
@Fffreeeeezing Not that I am in a position to advise at all but if youre still losing just over a pound a week... in a time that many are retaining or maintaining in the heat etc.. and your PT is concerned you're undereeating... id take that as a gentle flag to not cut further. It can become addictive cant it and I'm so aware how tricky it is as weight loss slows down or has periods of it (there myself right now!). But you are still losing. My WL graph has me losing 1.2kg average then 1kg average then more like 1lb average over time... and even within that theres weeks it looks like less ans weeks it looks like more.
But you do need to fuel your body. And a PT who knows you is worth listening to.
My update. I feel like I got to 10 stone loss (wahoooo!) And then my body kind of stopped! Ive actually maintained a couple of pounds above that for the last 5 weeks on and off.
Ive gone up to 9.5 now so a slight increase but I think I'm eating an appropiate amount and aware a 18months of eating in deficit does stress the body so dont want to cut down further right now.
Am hoping its the heat/going onto hrt . I assume with hrt fluid its retention and doesnt somehow prevent weight loss.... i was reading it was good for ADHD and worked with mounjaro.
I react strongly to dose increases so done a month of 9.5 but wont go up for a bit and see what I weigh in a couple of months
I rememebr when I started reading about plateuas when I (and others ) that a week or two sts was a stall and the end of the world and did know that this moment was likely to come. I knownthe body sometimes has a bit of an "adjusting to where were at now" moment.
But I'm still a stone overweight and 2 stone from from my target.... and clearly have a disproportionate stomach. I so dont was hoping to get below 25bmi and be able to drop the doses before maintaining. Not least for financial reasons!!!
I am so aware that although this is frustrating Im not emotionally attached to the numbers like I was last year. Or panicking. Or even attaching so much importance to it each time I weigh.
A nagging feeling this might be it though...
Hope everyone is okay. Really thinking of @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne in particular xx
