Is today home day @PearlsTeapot ? If so I hope you have a safe journey and enjoy being back with DW!

Well done for hopping on @Fffreeeeezing now you know what you’re dealing with. You’ll hit that 10st loss in no time.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne hope you’re ok.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/06/2026 10:30

@TragicMuse Can so relate. My stomach feels huge and squishy and like bags of flab. Yet. Clothes are bigger and I clearly am smaller overall...

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne Im just catching up and knew youd come out of hospital but didnt realise youd gone back in again. So much care from down here. So sorry you are going through this 💐💐Wishes I could do more than sending virual flowers. How are things today?

@PositiveAttitude Wow congratulations on your one year anniversary 🥳🥳. I absolutely love reading peoples reflections after a year. It truly is lifechanging isnt it. And you look amazing 🥰.

@Billybingbong What a fab GP! And how wonderful to see physical data and clinical results that this has impacted your health 😊. Thats amazing to have halved your meds! I would love a Dexa scan and moght save up for one. My mum has osteoporosis. My GP was more complimentary about MJ than the NP I saw a year ago was. She prescri ed me the hrt amd similarly advised re weight training on MJ. I had been so religious about it this time last year but ... stopped...

@PearlsTeapot wahoooooo!!!!

@Fffreeeeezing Not that I am in a position to advise at all but if youre still losing just over a pound a week... in a time that many are retaining or maintaining in the heat etc.. and your PT is concerned you're undereeating... id take that as a gentle flag to not cut further. It can become addictive cant it and I'm so aware how tricky it is as weight loss slows down or has periods of it (there myself right now!). But you are still losing. My WL graph has me losing 1.2kg average then 1kg average then more like 1lb average over time... and even within that theres weeks it looks like less ans weeks it looks like more.

But you do need to fuel your body. And a PT who knows you is worth listening to.

My update. I feel like I got to 10 stone loss (wahoooo!) And then my body kind of stopped! Ive actually maintained a couple of pounds above that for the last 5 weeks on and off.

Ive gone up to 9.5 now so a slight increase but I think I'm eating an appropiate amount and aware a 18months of eating in deficit does stress the body so dont want to cut down further right now.

Am hoping its the heat/going onto hrt . I assume with hrt fluid its retention and doesnt somehow prevent weight loss.... i was reading it was good for ADHD and worked with mounjaro.

I react strongly to dose increases so done a month of 9.5 but wont go up for a bit and see what I weigh in a couple of months

I rememebr when I started reading about plateuas when I (and others ) that a week or two sts was a stall and the end of the world and did know that this moment was likely to come. I knownthe body sometimes has a bit of an "adjusting to where were at now" moment.

But I'm still a stone overweight and 2 stone from from my target.... and clearly have a disproportionate stomach. I so dont was hoping to get below 25bmi and be able to drop the doses before maintaining. Not least for financial reasons!!!

I am so aware that although this is frustrating Im not emotionally attached to the numbers like I was last year. Or panicking. Or even attaching so much importance to it each time I weigh.

A nagging feeling this might be it though...

Hope everyone is okay. Really thinking of @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne in particular xx

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/06/2026 10:30

Ooh that was long 😳. I hadnt read the thread in a while and was replying as I read...

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 28/06/2026 10:46

Wow @PositiveAttitude what an amazing change, you look fab. congrats on your Mounjaro anniversary!

@PearlsTeapot so pleased for you to be heading home to the family

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne hope you have been allowed home again and can get on the mend, you really have been through it the last few weeks.

Mixed week here after I threw caution to the wind and went up to 5mg from 4.5mg (I’m super sensitive to MJ and it has caused gastritis). First few days the gastritis kicked off, then some weird pains all over the place in my ribs and lower back and muscle aches. Not sure if it was the dose, the heat wave or a virus, I had a temp on a couple of days. Anyway I’ve delayed the next jab and will probably do it tomorrow 3 days late. Think I’m going to have to go back to 4.5mg again for a bit 🙄. Only thing is it did break the stall as I am 4lb down on the week which hasn’t happened since near the start. Maybe some is dehydration though, let’s see.

EducatingEater · 28/06/2026 13:27

Hope you're feeling better soon, confused! Glad there is some movement for you, definitely up the water!

Pearls, hope you're on the way home now? And broon I hope you feel better soon and are more comfortable?

Weighed a day early as I'm not home tomorrow and also took a jab a day early too for the same reason. Down another pound after a pound last week. I know it's good going because of the heatwave and retension but the tight part of me is annoyed at how much the jabs are costing for the lb movement when being so good. I know that is very wrong mindset and I will cheer up when not quite so irritated by the heat. A loss is a loss is a loss. ❤️

Good luck all, onwards and downwards

PearlsTeapot · 28/06/2026 17:19

We’ve been in the car since 9am and I am so bored. Eating junk food but we’re going to Tesco before home to get the good food to restart properly tomorrow. I can’t wait for no more cheese sandwiches!!

TragicMuse · 28/06/2026 18:36

How close are you to home now? @PearlsTeapot

PearlsTeapot · 28/06/2026 19:08

Just pulling up, hurrah!

Springflowers2 · 28/06/2026 19:36

Wonderful @PearlsTeapot
Really pleased for you x

PearlsTeapot · 28/06/2026 21:39

Just jabbed 28 clicks instead of 26. Hope it doesn’t make me unwell this week 🤞 I still can’t believe how sensitive to the meds I am.

Billybingbong · 28/06/2026 21:53

@PearlsTeapot I'm so happy to hear you're home Pearl. I hope you're nicely settled back in with your home comforts & loved ones ❤️

TragicMuse · 28/06/2026 21:55

Own bed, own walls, own people…

All wellness to you Pearls.

TragicMuse · 28/06/2026 21:56

And @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne how are you doing? Speedy recovery and healing to you too.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/06/2026 03:46

@MCR24 You look incredible!! I've been catching up with this thread so may be asking you things you've already said (and of course you dont need to answer) but ... what bmi and size are you now? You look incredible!!! And are you managing a lot of lsoe skin as if so its not obvious (I still have a lot of skin and fat on my stomach and thighs and cant imagine looking as good as you without surgery! But I have further to go!)

Did you find the last stone or two took longer? Have you stopped losing now? Are your recijng rhe dose?

I am in awe 😊

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden thank you so much

BMI 22.5 last time I wrote my weight down. Sizes vary I don't really like shopping so I've just got basic Primark t-shirts in slim fit small. I've been getting dresses for work I think the smallest one I have is a 10. I've a skirt in an 8. Jeans are a 12 but I've not worn them in a long time so not sure how they'll fit now.

Body without clothes is not looking good, I'd like surgery to lift everything up. My thighs aren't good, either is tummy so there will be no short shorts or skirts without tights or bikinis for me.

I'm having a mare at the moment I've gained in the last month, I'm still latching on to it being holiday, hormone and heat related. I am further from target than I was 😔 I'm not reducing my dose until I'm at target I just hope I manage to lose something soon.

Billybingbong · 29/06/2026 09:57

Ladies, can we talk bras. My boobs seem to have shrunk overnight, and the bras I bought a few months back are now looking comically huge. I dont want to spend a fortune because I'll probably have to replace them again before I'm where I want to be, and we dont have many decent high street shops around here, so it will probably have to be online. Any recommendations for budget friendly, non wired, comfortable & supportive but pretty (I spent years wearing shapeless scaffolding, I want to feel feminine!). Thanks lovelies

Morning losers!

Just leaving this here for some motivation and explanation. It talks about how people get treated differently after losing weight.

I absolutely can't stand comments about weightloss because to me it feels like someone holding up a mirror to what I used to look like or what they thought of me. I know some people want the comments and recognition but if I could never remember I was ever fat, I'd prefer that.

After a bbq this weekend and so many comments to me about weight - quotes from several people " you look great wow, fantastic, you remind me that I need to lose weight, I have gained so much weight, I joined the gym" almost as if they need to explain themselves to me....? OK. I managed to walk away and busy myself with the kids so that I wasn't drawn into a long weight conversation as that has happened before.

I did manage to bat away a lot of comments, especially the "you look incredible" , I laughed off "I've always looked good!"

I also had to go through some photos on my phone to sort out photo storage and it made me so sad for my past self. There was one photo of my big smile at a restaurant knowing fully well the table was digging into my stomach and the seat was digging into my thighs. But still didn't stop me from having 2 helpings of birthday cake at the time after lying that I skipped lunch.... The whole persona I created around my weight. 😣

MJ has been a god send and really now when I look back, I couldn't have lost the weight without it. There's no way I could have been in a calorie deficit for months(or years) on end by myself.

If you don't want wires then Lemonade Dolls are really pretty and some of them are quite supportive. They always seem to have discounts as well if you look around, I find they come up slightly on the big side.

They definitely cover the pretty requirement!

Definitely try Brastop, they sell all sorts of brands with a range of prices and some gorgeous sets- also do swimwear! Their website has sizing advice and their returns policy is great. Not an ad I just think they're great! Haven't bought bras anywhere else for years now

I've ballsed up guys! So I'd been ordering a new pen slightly before I need one (like a week or two before it would run out) and I also ordered one from another supplier after Xmas because it was a good offer, and I've been doing the 5th dose too, so I basically haven't needed to order a new pen since about April. My supplier never sends reminders or anything so I thought it was fine but I've used them up and tried to order today and they've put my order on hold and emailed asking for proof that I haven't had a gap. I don't have proof as such, I've emailed back explaining the above and hopefully they'll let me order without having to drop back to 2.5mg. Not sure they will though, sat here waiting for an email from them. Taken my bloody money though haven't they 🙄

SilenceInside · 29/06/2026 21:38

@EnterSandfan who are you with at the moment? It’s possible that one of the maintenance pharmacies might take you on if you can show all the pens and explain that you haven’t had a gap in actually taking doses

I had to do something similar with Bolt a while ago and they processed it when I explained I’d stock piled pens before the price hikes.

EnterSandfan · 30/06/2026 01:00

@SilenceInside I'm with Pharmacy Online. Silly question but who are the maintenance pharmacies? Are they on the monj website?

@user593 aah it was Bolt I ordered my extra pen from, maybe I'll see if they'll take me back. I'm guessing this must happen a lot, loads of people must stockpile and order from other pharmacies etc

EnterSandfan · 30/06/2026 01:10

@SilenceInside ooh I found the maintenance list on monj, thank you for that suggestion! If mine won't let me order I'll move to one of those :)

AmberLime · 30/06/2026 07:22

Im with Juniper and approaching maintenance (3lb to BMI 25!). We spoke about their maintenance options in my last consultation. They allow for spaced out dosing, so that you jab every second week - this allowing 8 weekly purchases rather than 4 weekly. They also confirmed they will prescribe until BMI 22.

GeraldThePufferSponge · 30/06/2026 17:23

Scales were going wonky today, it first read I’d put on 3lbs and then when I re-weighed in disbelief, they said I’d lost 1.5lbs not redoing it in case they go up again

Not sure what’s happened this week - my calories are calculated at losing 2lbs a week and I lost 1.5lb and I’ve tracked every day meticulously and been to the gym. Irrationally upset because with the amount I’ve got to lose, that extra 0.5lb a week would add nearly 6 months to my weight loss timeline. Sorry for the moan, I need to give my head a wobble and be grateful I’m losing!
