That’s horrid @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne. Hope it all passes soon now. Seems like it’s been one thing after another for you at the moment.

Yes. And I collapsed on the floor as soon as I got out of bed this morning.
Very dizzy. Couldn't reach my emergency cord or my phone.

Got to the bathroom and fell over again. Could have reached the cord in there but didn't. God knows why!
Got back to bed and fell asleep for three hours. Got up, less dizzy, phoned my daughter who came straight round.

Covered in bruises but much less dizzy. DD2 worked for London Ambulance before moving up here. Told me I should have pulled the bathroom cord (obvious) but I didn't for some reason.

Now feeling less dizzy and spending the day in bed.

Aarrggghh

Oh goodness @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne do not move, stay in bed! And take care. Sounds like you need a good break and relax to cope with the leftovers of the lurgy plus this latest setback.

Springflowers2 · 13/06/2026 12:58

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne oh gosh
Goodness you poor thing .
Your really not well at all
Ring 111 for help if things don't improve, hopefully your DD will keep on eye on you xx

EverybodysALebowski · 13/06/2026 13:09

Has been little more than a week since I joined the gym, and 2 weeks since I resolved to get back to regular exercise. Am proud of myself for making it twice in that week, and have signed up for occasional sessions with a personal trainer to make sure my form is correct on the machines. Have also managed several long/fast walks and trying to get where I alternate gym sessions and walks every 2-3 days. Small steps but I do much better with changes when they are slow and gradual. I don't love the gym but it's not as scary as I expected.

Scales are still stuck but at least I am sleeping much more solidly than before! I know they'll start moving again soon.

For a while the increased cost of MJ was balanced out by savings from not drinking alcohol much, no takewaways or deliveries, and much less random food purchasing when bored or craving. Probably still running even with the gym fees included.

Did splurge on a new sports bra and a new tee for working out, as my existing ones had gotten a little roomy. And a new pair of trainers just for the gym, because anything that gets me happier about going there is a good thing. But time to step away from the purchases, at least until I change sizes again.

EverybodysALebowski · 13/06/2026 13:12

Oh and the crafters amongst you will appreciate this: I've frogged two handknit jumpers as they are now much too roomy and am planning to reknit them in my current size. That is a NSV for sure, and I'll be able to use the leftovers for hats and scrappy projects. (Hasn't stopped me from buying more yarn though!)

Onenotsosmallstep · 13/06/2026 10:37

Normal. I’m normal. Had a little cry this morning.

Amazing! Well done.

PositiveAttitude · 13/06/2026 14:34

@@Onenotsosmallstepcongratulations on being in the "normal" range. It must feel great!!

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOnei hope you get sorted soon. Look after yourself.

@@EverybodysALebowskii have just done the same. I made a gorgeous cardigan with some lovely yarn last year. I never wore it and it has now been unravelled and I plan on knitting a fitted cardigan instead. And you can never have enough yarn. 😉

I hope you are doing ok @PearlsTeapot

I am still plodding on here. Step by step I will get there. I am so pleased to be under the 15 stone mark. That is a big milestone for me. When we were first married I was at a family party at my in-laws house. She was offering everyone cake and when she came to me she said in a very loud voice "I hope you say no. Because we don't want you getting as big as Debbie, she must be 15 stone now!" At this time I was about 11 stone. The way she said it she thought 15 stone was HUGE!! Mother in law is a petite size 6 and eats like a sparrow!
I am now below her "huge" barrier!!
Yay.

EnterSandfan · 13/06/2026 18:03

Just over a 1lb off this week despite living off pizza and chocolate on holiday, makes no sense to me! I was definitely eating better in April and May but the scales barely moved those two months, bodies are weird! Although I have been getting more sleep lately, I wonder if that has something to do with it.

SW before MJ: 293lbs
SW on MJ: 253lbs (November 2025)
CW: 200lbs

The 100s are soooo close! Hoping I hit it next week🤞🏼

Well done @Onenotsosmallstep you must feel amazing!

PearlsTeapot · 13/06/2026 19:17

Well done everyone on the NSVs!

I've finally stepped on the scales after two months here and I've stayed the same throughout. I'm ok with that, I have 0 exercise as don't leave my room and eat pretty badly. (Cheese sandwich every single day for dinner anyone?)

I'm hoping to get home in the next 2/3 weeks.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne wishing you all the get well vibes xx

PearlsTeapot · 13/06/2026 19:18

@PositiveAttitude poor Debbie! I can't wait to see a 14 on the screen, I'm 15.1 now. We'll get there!

EverybodysALebowski · 13/06/2026 19:29

agreed @PositiveAttitude never too much yarn, especially now I am cold all the time (a ?benefit? of losing weight?)

TragicMuse · 13/06/2026 19:58

Not yarn but fabric - I will be re-cutting some of the clothes I have made because I like the fabrics or the pattern is really good and I like the shapes.

Poor thing @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne, it feels relentless for you. I hope the doctor is helpful.

Fingers crossed for home soon @PearlsTeapot

I went shopping today. I’m a medium in Primark which feels rather wonderful! I’ve never been so pleased to be average!

I mentioned a while ago about the invisibility of normality, and have been thinking about the accompanying thin-privilege. If I can keep this up I will never be caught short without tights. If I lost all my luggage I would still be able to find something wear. I can be more confident that I’ll find something in a vintage shop. A couple of years ago at a festival my jeans were too big, I needed a belt, couldn’t find one to fit. That wouldn’t be a problem now. It’s just extraordinary.

I know I’m still me and I feel the same person but I also don’t. My experiences and life are the same but I’m a different person. I’m still getting my head round that.

PearlsTeapot · 13/06/2026 21:03

Losing luggage and not being able to buy clothes happened to me in Paris many years ago, I had to wash my only pair of knickers every night overnight because I couldn't find anywhere to buy them big enough.

52soon · 13/06/2026 21:10

@PearlsTeapot a maintain after 2 months there is great especially as you have no control of what is offered.
I’ve not lost anything since 23/5 and am disappointed but I think my tummy is going down, I’m a comfortable size 16 if not 14 in recent clothes I’ve bought, down from my size 24’s when I started. I’ve bought a size 14 dress from Yours for a wedding in August and it fits. I know it’s a plus size shop so maybe a generous 14 but I cannot believe I might be a real 14! Hopefully the scales move for us both soon.

Missingducks · 13/06/2026 22:00

Am at a major sporting event where I have met up with some people I last saw in July 25 who have asked where 20% of me has gone (I said I breathed it out, as @PearlsTeapot told us last month). Best thing is that in the poxy shower cubicle here I can step in sideways rather than putting in one boob, then my belly, then one buttock, then squeezing and adding the rest. There still isn't room to shave my pits but I can wash me well enough!

Fffreeeeezing · 13/06/2026 22:57

I’ve had 2 different people this week not recognise me, apparently they only realised I was me because of my dog (she still looks the same!), that’s an odd feeling!

MoneyJo · 13/06/2026 23:12

Wow how much have you lost @Fffreeeeezing ?

Wow how much have you lost @Fffreeeeezing ?

Officially 9st 8lb but I haven't weighed in a few weeks, I'm having a scales detox as I felt the weekly fluctuations were stressing me out a bit, hope to hit 10st off at next weigh in at the end of the month but who knows, at week 66 the losses are not so predictable despite me having another few stone (minimum) to go.

I am this week though officially into the size 16's, just wish my legs would get the memo, they just don't seem to be shrinking and look worse than they did at the start which is no mean feat!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 14/06/2026 04:29

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne Really hope youre okay. Concerned for you to be checked over.

@PearlsTeapot Hope things keep improving and you get to go out soon.

@Onenotsosmallstep 🎉🎉🎉 That's amazing!!! How does it feel to see that? "Normal"??
.
Great to hear all.the other victories too.

I've had a tricky weekend. With am infection. Its amazing how different it feels being treated for an emergency at qa stone overweight than 9/ standsdidsaion.

Spinnifn rhe rsilts roulette roulette wheel soon. But knoe it will be up whwre ive been ill..

Goos luxk all.

AmberLime · 14/06/2026 11:01

I'm trialing daily jabbing, has anyone else tried frequent jabbing?

I weigh daily, have done for a long time, so I'm fine with seeing ups and downs on the scales. I've noticed though that I tend to lose about 2-3 lb the 4 days after I jab and put 1-2lb on the following 3 days. I have moved jab day to see if it's a weekend thing, but it's not.

So, new pen started this week. I take 10mg from a 15mg pen. I have decided that I would jab my usual 10mg, then I'm going to try a month of 6 clicks per day (1.5mg per day, so 10.5mg in 7 days).

I week in and do far, so good. I'll let you know.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 14/06/2026 11:16

ahem

I appear to have posted while under the influence of oramorph.... you can see where it kicks in and I didnt check it made sense... 😳.

Was meant to say something like...

Being assessed/ treated at all stages - GPs/dentist/ hospital is SO different at a stone overweight to when I was nearly 22 stone.

No real concern over particular drugs being "safe". Or the being careful around me...

I think I've got some fluid retention so looks like no loss this week but not too worried as been recovering and expect it will all work out.

@AmberLime I think what you've said is quite normal... and overall a weekly loss? Losing 2-3 lbs every few days wouldnt be healthy and our bodies dont workn in a linear fashion, so we have fluid changes and our body adjusting as well as literal response to eating less.

I tried to make sure I ate what I deemed "enough " those early days after jabbing so its not a case of undereating for a few days then eating all the things to make up for it. We still need to fuel our body.

Would it help for you to stop daily weighing? Ive did daily weighing for the first year but had made peace with the fluctuations as could see the line going down when you zoom out to the big big picture.

I'm midst my first month of no weigh ins and so far it been bloody great. Still doing everything else, tracking my calories and macros, strength training 5 times a week and walking and obviously jabbing once a week but it's nice to take weight loss out of the equation for a bit.

I think it's too easy to get obsessed by the scales and if you're doing all the right stuff, logically the scales must be going in the right direction so you don't need to constantly check them!

Normal weight people don't weigh everyday as far as I'm aware (I don't know any who do!)

Maybe think about weighing less frequently and then you wouldn't have to faff around with daily jabbing? As @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden says, weight loss isn't linear.
