I’m sitting at the 28 stone mark, and am 6”2 and in my 30’s so I tried a couple with those stats and they all seemed to concur - but it feels an awful lot!

I am also tall, 5’11”, and started Mounjaro when I was just over 23 stone, having already lost about two and a half stone, so very similar too. I am (despite being 47 and having been this height since I was about 13) always amazed by how much more we tall people need, but @GeraldThePufferSponge I would echo what others have said and try to respond to your appetite initially at least whilst the medication settles in and you get used to its effects. Welcome to the group, it’s full of fab people, amazing achievements and great advice!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 03/06/2026 13:45

So it's a 2.3 kg loss for me this week. I'm very happy with that, but aware that next week they might say I've gained 10 kg.

user593 · 03/06/2026 13:52

I survived the reformer pilates class. I actually rather enjoyed it, which makes me worry I wasn’t doing it right but the teacher did correct me a few times so she must have been paying attention. Onwards and upwards! 😅

Ah what a fantastic NSV @TragicMuse! I am definitely envious! There is something about the shape of my thighs, the angle of my hips, or something that means that I have never had this and my thighs always touch even now at the top end of the healthy weight range.

SilenceInside · 03/06/2026 18:22

@SnowWhiteisMyFavourite just read back through the thread, and saw your post. Massive congratulations on getting to the 100lb loss total! That is a significant achievement 🎉🎉11 stone something must surely be just around the corner!

GnomeDePlume · 04/06/2026 05:42

Weigh in and jab day

SW 140kg BMI 54.7
CW 87.8kg BMI 34.3
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

13 stone 12lbs in old money. 8 stone 3 lbs down. A small gain on last week.

NSV - at work we are being given posh fleeces (think £120 a pop) for having taken part in a project. I had to choose my size, XXL for me but it should fit and I chose a women's cut rather than my normal assumption of choosing the largest men's size.

Doing my measurements I realise that I have lost about 14 inches off my waist. I have been making summer shorts - 3 pairs so far and with each iteration I have gone a size smaller. I need to find a new basic tunic top pattern and I need to get braver when it comes to fitting.

Janie934 · 04/06/2026 09:31

Just weighed myself after a 2-week holiday and I've lost nearly 3 pounds. I ate plenty of nice food and ice-cream, but got lots of steps in which must have helped to counteract the extra calories.

It was really hot (30-35 degrees everyday) but I didnt feel like a sweaty red mess whereas 2 years ago before I started i would've really struggled just being in the heat nevermind walking 20k steps in it.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 04/06/2026 14:17

NSV today - I was putting on my fairly new size 18 jeans and they just seemed a bit too baggy round the legs. I decided to try on the size 14 pair that are sitting in my drawer just to see how far off fitting they are and they did actually fit! I decided not to wear them as I don't like how snug they are (basically looks like skinny jeans) but they did up without much bother which I really wasn't expecting!

user593 · 04/06/2026 17:52

That’s great @RenegadeKeeblerElf! I tried my 18s on a week or two ago and was surprised they fitted (exactly the same as my current pair but purchased a size down in the sales). I’m currently staying comfy and loose in my 20s but might make the switch soon. It’s a lovely feeling isn’t it!

Reginaphalangeeeee · 04/06/2026 18:15

@SnowWhiteisMyFavourite 100lbs landmark is an amazing achievement! Well done!!!!👏 I am currently at 95.6lbs and desperate to hit 💯 lost!

NSV for me- I think I can see collar bones emerging.
recovering from my skin cancer surgery and I have picked up the running again which I am proud of.
However, energy, motivation and general mood really low 😔 feeling overwhelmed a bit. Snacks crept in and chocolate which needs to stop. Weight loss paused a bit during hot weather and surgery recovery, but need to get eating right to get scales moving again.

Thanks for recommendations, moved away from Numan and trying The family pharmacy as cheapest for my
nEw dose 12.5mg. They seem to have sign for Royal Mail which may not work for me going forwards. Also only first order cheap so next recommendations?
it’s so expensive 😔

I just go on monj.co.uk each month and pick one of the cheapest ones. That way you get the new customer discount every month.

user593 · 04/06/2026 18:56

I also use monj.co.uk most months.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 04/06/2026 20:40

Yes I chose The family pharmacy from Monj site. Realise you can search by standard pricing or have discount price displayed up to compare. I wondered if some people just work their way through new suppliers every month to get a discount code and if this does save much or discounts not vary much.

However, also wondering which companies have the new style pen in? This would be helpful to see on Monj as ultimately I get 5 doses currently. I don’t want new style pens!

I had such good deals with Numan, never paid over £200 for 10mg with my discounts, so this month is a lot more, although cheapest of the bunch and going to 12.5 more cost effective as will wean up and hope to get near 6 doses.

@user593 and @RenegadeKeeblerElf do you manage ok if space out orders or are they funny if over 6 weeks gap in ordering. Just trying to plan.

SilenceInside · 04/06/2026 20:45

@Reginaphalangeeeee the Mounjaro UK reddit have a wiki page about the new style pens. If you scroll down there is a table summarising where people have got the new style pens, which pharmacies and what dose.

I had around a 6 week gap on my last order with Bolt because I stockpiled a few pens before the price hike and I’ve been slowly getting through those. I explained this when I placed the order and didn’t have a problem. (I’ve also been golden dosing from time to time but I didn’t mention this).

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 04/06/2026 21:27

I buy a pen every month, I buy 5mg pens but have a small stockpile which I am using up slowly by actually taking 6.25mg. I know it would be cheaper per dose to buy a higher dose but I'd rather keep the monthly cost reasonable and predictable.

Thank you. That is so helpful.
not sure how much being updated but basically 5mg pen more widespread reports of new pens and 12.5!
I would have though the regular 5, 10 and 15 would be first to appear!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 05/06/2026 06:16

Morning all, I haven’t posted for ages but have been reading and keeping up with all your news, delighted to see so many successes and NSVs. Was debating whether or not to post as don’t want to come on here with any negativity but I am struggling so much with maintenance right now 😞.

I hit target in December, lost a bit more in January while moving down the doses and have maintained since then. Until now that is. Went down to 5mg and felt such a massive surge in appetite and started bingeing again. Was so disappointed in myself as I really thought I could just maintain my new habits and would never go back to how I was before. I was so wrong. After a while I felt like the MJ was no longer having any effect whatsoever so I tried going back up to higher dose a couple of times, but then binges kept happening. Got to the point where I felt I’d messed around with the doses and the time between jabs so much that I thought I’d be best to stop altogether and do a bit of a reset. So I’ve just come to the end of a month off MJ and I’ve gained a whole bloody stone so am now half a stone above target. I’m starting again now from the beginning, I took 2.5 yesterday and am planning to continue doing it properly, every week for 4 weeks and then going up to 5 again and seeing how I get on. Desperate to shift this stone before I put on anymore 🙈. Maintenance is so much harder than losing, and harder than I ever imagined it would be. Wish I could just eat normally and not have this urge to binge all the bloody time!

Doggymummar · 05/06/2026 08:33

Sorry you've had a tough time @MummyInTheNecropolis . I'm struggling myself due to being unemployed and not allowed to claim benefits, I went overdrawn yesterday for the first time in probably 30 years. I'm maintaining as I can only afford a low dose. Jabbing fortnightly to eek it out and bingeing and eTing more crap than normal as I seem to have forgotten what normal food is. I hope your plan works. Cos mine isn't!

OvertiredandConfused · 05/06/2026 08:37

Sorry you're finding it tough @MummyInTheNecropolis.

I've come on to share a weightless that I don't quite believe.

The last couple of months have been a rollercoaster: off MJ, then on a liver shrinkage diet, then gall bladder removal, then nothing - so tough - then restarting at 2.5mg. Last week, it finally felt everything clicked again. This is my second week on 5mg with a normal dose, 7 day gap and following my regular diet. It seems to have been a massive reset with a whopping 5.5lbs loss!

Assuming I'll now maintain for weeks, or gain then loose the same 2lbs, but I'm so glad I persevered.

Doggymummar · 05/06/2026 08:48

Brilliant, that's so encouraging

eibbed999 · 05/06/2026 08:59

Good luck @MummyInTheNecropolis - I also had to take a month off and re-set, and it did the trick. I was on 15 and just still eating my way through a small mountain of food every day. I actually took around 5 weeks off and started again at 2.5 and the suppression is back (sadly a lot of damage was done in the intervening time, but hey ho!) It must be so frustrating to have gained when you've hit target, and also disappointing to fall back into being the 'old' you - I can imagine that messed with your head! But you've taken control and you're trying to fix it, and sometimes that's all we can do isn't it? Plus even with the short-term gain you've done so brilliantly!

I've just switched to the Family Chemist for 5mg. It was very straightforward, and the first switch where it went straight through without any extra queries. However they did send the new style pen. In hindsight I should've gone for 7.5mg and click counted, but I'm trying really hard to stick to a low dose, and the temptation to just take 7.5mg would've been very strong!
