My first jabs arrived today. Thinking of starting Wednesday which is technically end of April but wanted to start a new group for anyone starting soon!

Nervous but kind of excited for good results. Watched a YouTube video instruction for the pen before, I might get my husband to do it for me!!

Anyone want to join me and share / support each other??

Yay, congrats @madeinthe80z

Tulipwood · 18/06/2026 15:25

Ugh, feel like I’ve come to a complete stall this week as I’ve stayed the same two weeks running. I have been poorly this week, so perhaps it’s that.

Im definitely going to go up to 5mg for my next pen. I have 4 more doses of my current pen (or 5 if I GD). I asked my current provider if they would price match for a 5mg pen as they are showing £30 more expensive but they said no. Annoying but worth an ask I guess

Not much more from me at the moment. Feeling frustrated and like I’ve thrown £100 down the drain this month but hey ho.

Well done everyone else on your losses 💪

I was the same @tulipwoodit really got to me the last few weeks as it had slowed down so much so my 5mg pen arrived yesterday so I’ll be doing a higher dose soon. How much would your 5mg pen be? I switched and got it for £139 which I didn’t think was too bad

I've had that this week @Tulipwood. Starting to really regret staying on 2.5 for the second pen.

The food noise has returned with a vengence this week, I haven't felt full and I didn't realise how awful it made me feel until it all came roaring back. I've managed to white knuckle it so far.

I'm eyeing up the 5 mg pen in the fridge for Sundays jab...

£168 so it’s only £30 more than the lowest price. Depends if I want the headache of moving suppliers again for £30

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 18/06/2026 16:17

So weigh in today was 84.6kg which is a 3 kilo loss in 3 weeks. Im on a period so im happy with that. Jab 4 today and I went up from.1.25 to 1.87 (45 clicks) on my 2.5 pen as I was too nervous to double the dose 😅

mollio · 18/06/2026 17:29

Gosh ladies you are all v lucky with the prices in the UK . I am paying 350 euro per month for a 5mg pen ( that includes a 50 euro monthly GP prescription service that is obligatory ). Although feck it it’s worth it if it works ! Is ma way in Italy since last Friday , back tomorrow . It has been ok actually , I jabbed a few days early in case I was v sick . I have had way more alcohol than usual but food I have been pretty careful while still indulging whatever I wanted . I didn’t want the usual bars of chocolate and crisps from the shop for the room . It’s been a revelation ! Will see what the scales says Saturday morning . I think I will finish out this pen at a dose of 3.75 and use the golden does if it’s there too . I may do it every 6 days . Then I need to see about living up to 5 or not - suppression is still good so I’m not sure if I should bother . Well done to all on your losses

TeamsThemeTune · 18/06/2026 19:01

Nice one @madeinthe80z!
I'm still not moving the scales - it's getting annoying now.

7238SM · 18/06/2026 22:44

@mollio What country are you in?

Some might recall that last fri I used my golden dose but it was about 3.8mg rather than the 2.5 and I had dreadful vomiting/nausea/stomach cramps/diarrhoea the first day. I bought a 5mg pen, but plan to click and return to 2.5mg or possibly 3mg. Debating what is best but definitely don't want a repeat of last week.

I can give you a code for Numan so it’ll be £120ish, but I dont need the discount as I have a couple stacked already so if someone else has one to give you then that would be good. If nobody else has it then just tag me and I’ll drop my link here.

What are you eating in a typical day? Do you have much to lose?

Boreded · 19/06/2026 00:52

Has anyone found any pen needles that will fit the Mounjaro pen…I have 2x5mg pens but I only need a 2.5 dose so need some extras to put on them.

mollio · 19/06/2026 06:21

I bought these www.glucorx.ie/our-products/insulin-needles/

KittensAndCupcakes · 19/06/2026 08:21

mollio · 19/06/2026 06:21

Thanks @mollio I had the same question as @Boreded

There are two options on that link CarePoint and FinePoint and then two drop down menus. Which ones did you buy?

I’m going to order a 5mg pen next time and feel quite anxious about using the 5mg pen to deliver 2.5mg doses, but I’m not paying over the odds for the meds. And anyway I might go up to 3.75 or even eventually 5. I just have travel and an event a couple of days after the first dose from the next pen so no way am I going to experiment with upping my dose at that point and potentially feeling crud.

TeamsThemeTune · 19/06/2026 09:17

Weigh day today and .... down at last! Praise be!

SW 79.05kg / 12st 6lbs
W1 -1.8kg / 3.9lbs
W2 -0.95kg / 2lbs
W3 -1.3kg / 2.8lbs
W4 -0.3kg / 0.6lbs
W5 -0.95kg / 2lbs
CW 73.75kg / 11st 8.9lbs

Total loss 5.3kg / 11.6lbs

I have to decide whether to jab again today, which is my normal jab day, but the last one was delayed by 3 days, so I would be doing two jabs in a week - one on Monday and one on Friday. Or I could delay it until tomorrow, don't know if that will make much difference.

PuppyKeep · 19/06/2026 09:28

Hi ladies. I only lost 1lb this week and 1lb last week. I'm gutted :( It's a very expensive way to lose so little.

PuppyKeep · 19/06/2026 09:34

7238SM · 17/06/2026 18:43

Where? Mouth, legs or elsewhere? No, I haven't had any at all.

Mouth. Super painful. But it may be the HRT that I started around the same time as MJ.

That's 6lbs in 3 weeks isn't it? 2lbs a week is a very good result. Is it likely you could have lost 6lbs in 3 weeks without Mounjaro? That's how I look at it anyway.

Plus 2.5 is a therapeutic dose designed to get you used to the medication - the concentration in your system increases with each dose.

Are you calorie counting?

KittensAndCupcakes · 19/06/2026 10:43

Having second thoughts about my idea of making the 5mg pen stretch out into 8 doses of 2.5mg. The manufacturer seems to be adamant that the pen should be thrown away after 30 days even if kept in fridge. Bah!

Thank you <3 Your reassurance has helped.

I'm having around 1000-1200 cals per day. I'm only 5ft0 though.

I also started lifting weights when I started MJ, which might have something to do with it. I 'feel' slimmer 🤔

Yes, I feel slimmer too and I think it’s the strength training. Thing feel more compact and tight (underneath the soft outer layer of fat).

How has your loss on the scales been?

And how often do you lift weights?

I try to lift at least every other day.

I bought the care point 4mm ones and on the box it tells you all the pens it is compatible with - including Mounjaro . I am stretching my 5mg pen in 3.75 doses to anvoid the nausea and storing in the fridge . It is so so expensive but it’s not even the price , I done want to waste any ! I know many many people keep them for longer than 30 days if in the fridge but you do have to be very careful with cleaning each time etc I am happy to take the risk. I have been doing 3.75 every 6 days give or take . It’s been ten days now as I am on holidays but back tonight and will jab either tonight or in the morning

As I understand it, that's because it's designed for 4 weekly doses, so really should only last 21 days if you think about it. The manufacturer hasn't tested the efficacy and safety of it after 30 days. (Why would they when they can get you to buy another one?)

Having said that, there are thousands of people who are split/micro-dosing with no ill effect. The danger is infection - every time you insert a needle you break the seal and there's the potential for bacteria to get in. Scrupulous hygiene and keeping the pen in the fridge seem to be the way that people deal with it. I haven't yet, but can't say I wouldn't.

I'm not saying anyone should throw all caution to the wind - it all depends on your personal risk attitude. Reddit is chock-full of people saying they're using a pen for way over 30 days.

How does the 30 day max thing work when we're encouraged to order our next pen only two weeks into the current one?
