Ordered a new pen at 1mg as losses have been slow this month so think I need to go up. Switched provider again - such a faff but it’s like £50 difference so worth the hassle!

Sure you'll get use of them for the summer this way. Well done on the losses, id love to be an 8-10, but 10-12 is a more realistic goal for me, ive never been an 8

I can’t stop shopping!! Send help 😂 It’s so exciting to a) see the sun out now and b) to actually like how I look!!

I was a size 6 (8st 9lbs, BMI 19) when I got married and looked like a lollipop. So a size 8 at 9st 7lbs (BMI 21) is my goal. May look too scrawny if my boobs disappear too so I’ll stop at 9st 13lbs if so 🙈

HollywoodTease · 25/04/2026 17:00

Wavering. My next order is due at the end of next week. I'm currently on 5mg MJ, losing slowly but steadily, no plateaus, no side effects. Reasonable suppression, level mood, IBS still under control.

I'm on a subscription deal with Bolt, could probably find it cheaper by shopping around but I'm OK with their price as it is. They keep recommending I go up to 7.5, which is more expensive obvs but still an ok price with the subscription discount.

No reason to move up yet, right? Only it might work out cheaper in the long-run if I move up and count clicks to stay on 5 with the option of 7.5 if I need it 🤔 I would also then start to have a bit of a stockpile for future use and/or maintenance or coming back down (I've already got a couple of doses of 5 "spare" as I've been able to get 2 golden doses out so far)

Can't decide if I should order 7.5 now or stick with 5 for another pen.

8books · 25/04/2026 18:23

@HollywoodTease I’ve got a 5mg pen I used to do 7.5mg dose two weeks ago. I had to skip last week cos of my operation.

Tomorrow I’ll do 7.5mg dose from the 5mg pen again.

My new pen I’ve got waiting is the 7.5mg, which was £239 from Cloud. I’m too lazy to shop around. How much would you pay for that from your supplier?

MJ has massively helped my IBS too.

Just worked out that I’ve had 16 doses so far and have max 15 doses left till I’m off on hols and coming off it!

HollywoodTease · 25/04/2026 18:51

I'm paying £169 for my 5mg. Can't check 7.5 yet as I'm a few days out of my re-order window but I think it was £219. Basically it's a £20/pen saving on the single-pen price. It's a cancel any time agreement though, I'm not tied to it so I may shop around when/if I do eventually decide to move up.

Hi to my fellow Jan 26 starters. I haven’t posted in a while as have had a busy few weeks. Have spent the evening catching up on your posts and great to read everyone’s progress.

@bookwormcrazy great news about your husband being home finally.

My loss is still very gradual and I’m happy with that. About 1.5 stone since beginning of Jan and feeling so much better, have bought some new clothes that are not my usual uniform of leggings and baggy top. Happy to stay on 5mg as getting good suppression still.

This is what I posted this evening on another thread: I’ve had a couple of heavy weekends recently for DP’s big birthday and then visiting family. I relaxed what I was eating and drinking and enjoyed it to an extent but also very happy to get back to eating healthily with less stodge and wine. I love what I’m eating on MJ, really enjoy my lunch and dinner and planning what I’m going to eat. That has been the surprising thing for me as I didn’t expect to enjoy food much. I love it.

Perianth · 25/04/2026 19:53

@HollywoodTease like you I am on 5mg, reorder due next week, also with Bolt on their subscription discount. I’m feeling amazing - full of energy, good suppression, no side effects and a steady 2lb a week loss. I think 5mg might be my happy place so I’m sticking where I am, for now at least. I’m expecting to be on MJ long term, and would ideally like my maintenance dose to be low, so don’t want to go up the doses unnecessarily. I am periodically tempted to shop around or click count from a higher dose pen, or stockpile, but ultimately I think I’m too lazy to do the maths and too easily confused!

@8books I’ve been shopping too, though I have only hit the charity shops and Vinted as I’m nowhere near my goal weight yet and will need to do more shopping soon enough I suspect. Still, it feels incredibly freeing to be able to pick out stuff I like, rather than just stuff I can fit into.

@bookwormcrazy bet your husband is delighted to have been sprung from hospital after such a lengthy stay. Great news that he is home!

@Springflowers3 good to see you back and doing so well.

bookwormcrazy · 25/04/2026 19:58

With my pen in the fridge and half way through my current pen, I have decided that if I have another week of no loss, I might try and count my clicks to go up to 6.25mg and order my next pen at 7.5. See if that slight rise helps to kick start the losses again.

Has anyone else down that and not done the full next dose up? I really would try to keep as low as possible for as long as possible.

HollywoodTease · 26/04/2026 11:33

I've ordered another 5.

I'm going with the "if it ain't broken don't fix it" mindset - 5 is still working ok for me and 7.5 would be an extra £60/month! Seems daft to pay that much extra when my current dose seems to suit me. Yes I could count clicks to continue on 5 but knowing me I'd probably forget, or count wrong.

So I'm staying where I am for another month.

I did this when moving up from 2.5 to 5. I used the last two doses and the golden dose to give me two weeks of 3.75. I used a click counter I found online for the first one, then a separate syringe to extract the last one. I did think about sticking at 3.75 with my new 5 mg pen, but decided to go up in the end.

I have lost another kg! So that's 13kg off since January
A whole 34kg since March 2025!

FrothyCothy · 26/04/2026 19:42

Delayed my jab accidentally by being distracted/disorganised. So today was jab 16:

SW 111kg
CW 98.95kg
Total loss since 5/1: just a smidge over 12kg

I would reallllly like to be 14st something by the end of May when we go away - currently 15st8. Will see if going up to the next dose gives me that push - am back at the gym too and had a friend comment that I’ve lost weight (I was honest and admitted I was on the jab!) which will hopefully keep me motivated.

Anyone else experienced people being generally nicer now you’ve lost some weight? I had this before when I previously lost weight a few years ago - more conversations with strangers, people just generally being more pleasant. It’s kind of depressing though appreciate I may also be giving off different vibes too.

Ralphiesaurus · 26/04/2026 20:04

Ok so my body is officially weird!?! 5lb off earlier this week and now another 3lb, after a stall of about five weeks!?! And suddenly all my clothes are loose...

SW 94.5kg
CW 81 kg
GW 75 kg

Not complaining though! 😏

Have you changed dose in those 5 weeks or just stayed in the same one?

No just stayed on 5mg. Am about to go up to 7.5mg next week. I bought the next one up because of the stall... and have suddenly lost 8lb 🤣

That’s exactly where I am. I haven’t really lost anything in the last 2 weeks on 5mg but then I have not exactly been trying my hardest. I have a pen and a half left of 5mg but debating if I should go up on my next pen or hold out to see if I get a whoosh now I’m back to properly tracking and giving it my all. I have 2 weeks to decide whether to go up or stay at 5.

I have read about people who stall for a bit and then suddenly get a whoosh and It sounds like what you have just had.

HollywoodTease · 27/04/2026 10:37

Small wins.

Today I am wearing the size 16 zebra jeans to work!

2026istheyear2 · 27/04/2026 10:46

Last week I found I had cravings for chocolate kicking in and only lost .2 pounds so decided to go up to 5mg on Friday. Cravings gone as well as 4.5 pounds over the weekend. That takes me to 50 pounds lost which is just astonishing, in Pilates this morning I could really notice my hip bones for the first time!

Ralphiesaurus · 28/04/2026 09:42

The weirdness continues... after my massive whoosh last week I now have major MJ side effects out of nowhere - and I am on day 6 so usually it's wearing off by now! Nausea, really off my food generally... and there was me thinking it wasn't working. Am now a bit worried about going up to 7.5 tomorrow... 😬The body is a very strange thing!

HollywoodTease · 28/04/2026 10:08

Check in day. Jab #15, 4 at 2.5 and 11 at 5 now.

SW. 99.9kg
1st GW. 90kg achieved Jab #11
2nd GW 84kg
CW. 85.95kg

So after a stall due to my holiday I have had my biggest loss to date this week, 2.6kg or 5.75lbs 😮

Total loss is now 13.95kg, or 30.5lbs.

My second goal (to be within the lowest obese class, class 1) is in sight and several pairs of my size 16 jeans fit. I also think I need some new bras, my 38Js are getting a bit saggy 😳

Today is a good day......

Not sure where you are in the country but there’s a vicious stomach bug going around here at the moment, so hope it’s not the start of that!

FrothyCothy · 28/04/2026 10:30

Had my first provider that wanted a video consult - very easy process though I did have to run around to find a rigid tape measure! Seems like a good few new providers coming into the market so hoping that drives some competition on prices.

Perimenoanti · 28/04/2026 17:28

Guys I feel SO good. I did another round of wardrobe clearing/trying on old, smaller clothes and I fit into size 22 tops now. A year ago I had to buy mostly 28/30. I am only two stone down (saying only because the drop in size feels disproportionate). Now that everything fits well I feel so good going out and just feel small. I bought a gilet a year ago with the intention to shrink into it (oh no). I could not close it and now it is almost too big?

I thought maybe my old clothes do me dirty because I had probably stretched them, but I received a couple of size 22 t-shirts today and I am actually not sure I should keep them but order another size down. They are slightly loose. What a problem to have!!

I might keep them. To feel good it is important my trousers fit, so will buy new every time I need to and tops can be a bit 'big'.

8books · 28/04/2026 18:48

Well done @HollywoodTease and @Perimenoanti!! The feeling of fitting nicely in clothes wins over a number of the scales 👏

My ridiculous orders for holiday clothes for August have arrived (DH opened the front door earlier to find the 6 pairs of shoes I bought 😂🤦🏼‍♀️). I’m going to leave it till next week to do a big try on. I know if I try shopping for holiday stuff in a couple of months there’ll be nothing good left!! 🏖️
