12 kg is a good loss. It's better to lose slowly.

I don't know how much my losses are helped by being in Sweden. Here I couldn't get wli without signing up to a supported weightloss programme. I have a dietician who I see weekly and a weightloss doctor I see every couple of months.

I get the impression that in the UK you're left to figure it all out for yourselves. Which is tough.

Perimenoanti · 22/04/2026 12:58

I'm going to have to make the same decision tomorrow. Maybe I will go up to 0.75 and see. I am mostly worried about extreme side effects and dying every time I move up. It hasn't really changed ever since I took my first injection.

My real side effects are nausea and light headedness. And ever since the 0.5 have been building up in my system I got a slight whiff of actually feeling sick the day or two after injecting.

I decided to go up. I hope I can manage it

To 1mg? How are you feeling?

I need to inject tonight. I feel very irrational this time.

Do you pay for this in Sweden? Us here just aren't ill enough to get onto the NHS programme or there'd be a two year wait or so.

I pay for the medicine but the dietician and dr are funded by the public health service.

That's great. What are the criteria? Just a certain BMI?

Mine was over 50. But I have no other health conditions so don't qualify. They did refer me to slimming world before but that was it 😂

I think anyone with a BMI over 30 can get it, unless contraindicated. But, only ozempic and orlisat are subsidised, and you can only get ozempic if you have diabetes.

FrothyCothy · 23/04/2026 20:33

Massively overeaten the past two days and annoyed at myself. Time to up my dose I think.

Weigh day for me. My scales decided to change 3 times so I think I’m going to order a new set. I’ve taken an average and that’s 1.5 off this week - 34.5 in total. It’s slowing down so I’m regretting ordering another 5mg pen. I am still getting good suppression though. I am not expecting to lose much over the next few weeks as I had surgery on Tuesday and will be immobile for a few more weeks.

Morning,

I finally have some good news… husband is home after nearly 10 weeks in hospital. I can finally breathe! Things are still delicate but stable. Enough that they have managed to do some chemo this week but need to monitor his kidney and liver levels.

This means I can start to focus a bit more on my weight loss again which couldn’t have come at a better time as while I had been slowly losing on 5mg, I haven’t really lost anything in the last 2 weeks.

SW - 15st 13lbs
CW - 13st 12lbs
GW - 10st 7lbs

Loss so far - 2st 1lbs

Just started a new 5mg pen with next jab due this evening and still have one in the fridge so will see how it goes over the next few weeks and if I still see no improvement then will consider moving up to 7.5mg.

Now I just have to navigate that husband is so sick of hospital food - he wants all the nice stuff and takeaways to treat himself. 🤣

I moved up to 7.5 on Wed, as my weight had completely stalled. I’d lost nothing on the last 5mg pen. Since Wednesday I’ve had zero appetite again, and felt tired and queasy. So I think I made the right decision to increase, even though it’s not much fun.

Great news that your husband is home @bookwormcrazy 🌺

I had a GA this week so gave my usual MJ a miss for an extra 5 days. Didn’t feel hungry really. I don’t think I’m a hungry person generally, just greedy 😂 Managed to stick to usual plans.

Down to 69.5kg, 10st 13lbs (bmi 24), so 11.5kg down overall. Wondering if I have jab today or just wait until my usual day, which is Sunday. Will be second dose of 7.5mg.

Ordered new holiday clothes for July, which is exciting 😊

glutenisthedevil · Yesterday 18:26

bookwormcrazy · Yesterday 21:41

Thanks everyone. Now I have no excuse to focus on eating well again and hopefully loosing more weight.

@bookwormcrazy you’ve got this! And we’re all here to cheer you along!

Ordered lots of clothes and bags today for my hols on 1st August. I know it’s ages away but all the summer stuff I like will be sold out if I wait that long. I’m a size 10 now so bought a mix of sizes 8 and 10, so I will still be able to try it on and see if it will realistically fit by then 😂 Also, hoping the parcels arrive when my DH is at work!! 🙊😆

glutenisthedevil · Today 08:14

Weigh in day today (it seems to come around so quickly!) and I've lost another 2.5lbs (39.5lbs total) If someone had said to me at the start of the year that I was going to weigh almost 3 stone less by the end of April I'd have laughed in their face.

This morning I dug out a maxi dress that I haven't been able to wear in about 7 years and it fits perfectly. It's such a good feeling 😊

Sure you'll get use of them for the summer this way. Well done on the losses, id love to be an 8-10, but 10-12 is a more realistic goal for me, ive never been an 8
