New thread!

OP posts:
Jins · 07/04/2026 15:22

I thought that jumpsuits and play suits would be deeply unflattering on me as like @Zempy I’m two sizes smaller on the bottom than the top. In fact they work pretty well for me depending on the style. They seem to disguise my lack of arse and seem to balance top and bottom quite well. Obviously I’ve not tried one on in a shop and probably wouldn’t but I’m quite a fan for holiday wear. Dungarees are awful on me though - especially the Lucy and Yak style. At best I look like a toddler.

So I’ve ruled out making one for the flight home as I don’t have any suitable fabric, it’s all a bit too vibrant for a full length one. I’ll pack some leggings to change into at the airport.

myladyjane · 07/04/2026 15:56

I love a jumpsuit! Despite being weeble shaped. I got one for the summer last week from next. Find them much easier to wear than dresses….

MJalltheway · 07/04/2026 17:23

All the jumpsuit talk has reminded me that I actually dont have a single one in my size now, I had loads in size 18. Which one did you get from Next @myladyjane, I might have a browse and see if I can find one to try and see if they still suit me?

HeidiLite · 08/04/2026 07:53

OK weight has indeed creeped over 60 kilos, which is more than I'm comfortable with. Need to be more strict for a little while. Booooring..

OP posts:
Zempy · 08/04/2026 08:24

You can do it @HeidiLite !

I am thinking of increasing my dosage ahead of holiday so I don’t gain too much. My lovely friend I am going with has had bariatric surgery so food isn’t really going to be the issue, despite being AI. It’s going to be the 🍷🍹🍸

Jins · 08/04/2026 08:43

I’m thinking along similar lines for my holiday. I fly on jab day so was going to do a bigger dose and then jab when I get back. When it gets nearer the time I’ll decide as tbh gaining a few pounds wouldn’t be a bad idea and I’m protected from the worst of the tempting AI food by being coeliac 😢

This morning I’m going to be oiling the decking and brushing sand into the gaps on the patio which jet washing has opened up. Such a bore. DS2 is getting wound up about his meeting which is tomorrow. I seem to be doing pep talks more frequently although as he’s a Scorpio like me it tends to veer into revenge territory. It’s not our best trait but we are extremely good at biding our time.

Wtafmakeitstop · 08/04/2026 09:54

Not a Scorpio @Jins but capable of holding a grudge for literally decades so very sympathetic to the revenge viewpoint. I temper it by believing in karma so the Universe will get revenge for him. Just realised I sound like a psycho writing that, might be lack of breakfast. @HeidiLite I’ve also crept up a couple of kg, trying to convince myself it’s muscle but I know I need to be strict for a little while.

HeidiLite · 08/04/2026 10:32

I'm with you at grudge holding. I go back to kindergarten times with some stuff.

OP posts:
myladyjane · 08/04/2026 13:58

I am both a Scorpio and a grudge holder. I plan so
much evil revenge and I still hate Carrie from my dds reception class for making dd 2 cry. Bitch.

Very casual and similar to a black one I had last year that I wore countless times.

weigh in today and oddly I’ve lost a couple of lbs but I have also had awful side effects again. I don’t feel
like I have eaten much less but am definitely moving a lot more so maybe that.

Polkadotdash · 08/04/2026 19:33

@Jins tortoises! Oh how lovely. I know they are curious creatures and need a lot of looking after but I do love them.

Currently spending a few days with my sister and enjoying the sun. Although I am falling in to the habit of comparing myself to her and she’s about 8 stone and a size 8. I feel like a lump next to her. We were browsing in clothes shops today and every time I caught a glimpse of myself next to her I was horrified.

DGmaintaining · 08/04/2026 23:29

Hugs @Polkadotdash glad you’re enjoying the sun, and hope that vitamin D helps numb those feelings of lumpiness.

I’ve had quite the Vinted sales boom - have shifted 7 of the 14 items I uploaded. Wardrobe still bursting, but it’s looking much better.

I used to live in Whistles jumpsuits. I still have 4 in the wardrobe. I sold 3, charity shopped 1. Need to try on the 4 I still have and see how they look.

Good luck to your DS @jins hope it goes ok.

Sorry you’ve had bad side effects @myladyjane fingers crossed they ease off soon. But yay on the lbs off!

I should be asleep…getting up at 6 for more Peloton. I think this exercise is just making me more hungry. I feel like I’m constantly eating once lunchtime hits at work. From the moment I break into my lunch, I’ll immediately eat all my snacks, then more snacks, then whatever anyone offers until it’s time to go home. I’d quite like to go back to the days of not feeling hungry - I can see the appeal of feeling more in control. But then I’d end up losing more weight and I don’t need that at 21BMI.

HeidiLite · 09/04/2026 05:57

@Polkadotdash It's difficult not to compare for sure. My sister has always been naturally very slim and it was not easy not to compare, especially when I got chubbier in my teens and she looked like a stick. But you're still a lot smaller than a year ago, no? That's a win, there will always be people slimmer than us.

@DGmaintaining I am definitely feeling more snacky in the evenings. Probably a combo of chocolate over easter and increased cardio. Weight creeping up higher than I'm comfortable with, may need to get the tracking app out again. I really need to deal with those couple of extra kilos right now than to wait til they become couple of extra stone.

OP posts:
HeidiLite · 09/04/2026 07:54

upsides of being skinny - for years I wanted to get myself a pleated midi skirt. Had this idea in my head how it will look like. Inevitably whenever I tried them, I looked like a humongous haystack. But I'm wearing one now and I look exactly like I imagined. Turned out, it wasn't the skirts, it was my humongous backside 😁

Jins · 09/04/2026 08:22

I had a visit to my favourite charity shop yesterday and came away with a denim jacket and a pair of jeans. The jeans fit perfectly and felt great so imagine my annoyance to see rolls of fat above the waistband when I checked in the mirror. Will take a look at them today to see what can be done. The jeans that is - I think I’ve done enough with the rolls of fat!

DS was a lot calmer after his shift yesterday and he’s had a chat to some of his more sensible colleagues who are shocked by the pettiness. I’ll give him a lift to work today for a pre-meeting pep talk but he seems to understand the need to stay calm and remain on the moral high ground. I’ll be glad when it’s over though!

Completed the trying on session yesterday and there is now a lot of space in my T shirt and vest top drawer. I now have a crate full of clothes to attempt to salvage and a fairly full bag for fabric recycling. I’ve also remeasured and altered my dress form which will save me a lot of trying on time.

BreezyPeer · 09/04/2026 08:55

Morning everyone 😊
I've been missing for months but I'm back now!
I've been maintaining for the past 4 months and 6 days according to Shotsy.
I'm doing 4mg every 10 to 12 days depending on my schedule and if I am hungry.
I am eeking out my last couple of pens.
Really noticing the impact of my (peri-unpredicable) cycle on my hunger and weight.
I don't know if anyone remembers but I was on the dating app and convened the 'judgy panel' post dates!
I started seeing a man I met irl. At a mutual hobby. We have been together since last November and (predictably) have gone quiet on here since.
Maintenance is a ride!
I'm back to support and hear everyone's news
I'm so glad you are all still here ❤️

MJalltheway · 09/04/2026 09:10

@BreezyPeer fabulous news! Tell us about the new man? And 💪 for the maintenance.

im also falling into the habit of eating chocolate every day, time to nip that in the bud. I'm going to hide away the rest of the Easter chocolate and see if I can go back to usual snacks of fruit and nuts instead.

Lovely jumpsuit @myladyjane ! Looks so comfy, I was tempted to get one apart from the big split in the back which would just show heavy-duty bra 😭

Zempy · 09/04/2026 09:12

Lovely to hear from you @BreezyPeer

How splendid to be in that loved up phase. I just about remember it! 🤣

I am feeling flabby at the moment which is ridiculous but just shows what years of wanting to be thinner does to your brain.

I bought some size 8 bikini bottoms to go with a size 12 tankini top I have. The matching bottoms were indecently baggy. I was horrified at the bulge over the top <<waves to @Jins >> and sulking about needing to buy size 10 bottoms.

First World Problems

HeidiLite · 09/04/2026 10:35

ooh @BreezyPeer how exciting! How does a new relationship work with weight maintaining - is it all dinners and drinks, or are you rather forgetting to eat?

OP posts:
BreezyPeer · 09/04/2026 12:12

@MJalltheway the new man, I have actually known for a couple of years through a mutual hobby. As I was exploring OLD he realised that I was ready for a relationship and so was he. (His wife died 3 years ago)
So, we started with a few dates and are getting on really well.
We've been away for a few weekends and are due to go away next week for a whole week! That will be telling.🤣
Maintenance is a whole new thing. It's so strange getting used to being this size (10-12 even an 8 on top in some brands)
I am trying to keep up my strength training. Definitely makes a difference
@Zempy 'The loved up phase' I love that description. It's so apt! I am keen to stay in it for as long as possible. Real life will bite us on the bum soon enough I am sure.
The mere thought of buying a bikini! I recently bought a new swimsuit for a hot tub. It was Boden, beautiful, but I will buy 'Tall' next time.
@HeidiLite we are having lots of home made ( fairly healthy) meaks. But I am eating out a lot. Making good choices and exercising.

I am scared what will happen when I run out of MJ but I am titrating down slowly so hope it'll be ok.
So interested to hear how everyone is doing xxx

Thelittlestranger · 09/04/2026 13:12

Nice to hear from you @BreezyPeer ! And lovely to hear you are enjoying a new man. Long may it continue.

Sounds like a few of us are experiencing more of a sweet tooth. I'm on a bit of a few days on, few days off cycle which seems to be working ok. WI smack in the middle of my buffer this morning after a bit of a shock after Easter weekend!

It's my daughter's 18th today, so off out for a meal tonight. And then I have my 2nd pilates workshop this weekend. Will take the opportunity of being stuck out of the house for a long amount of time, to eat less over a weekend for a change.

Loving the weather!! Had my shorts on yesterday.

Wtafmakeitstop · 09/04/2026 18:04

@BreezyPeer great to see you back and excellent news! Looking forward to hearing more!

MJalltheway · 09/04/2026 19:08

Happy birthday minilittlestranger! She must be doing exams this year then? My DS is also 18 and has really impressed me lately with his focus on exams and revising. Didn't happen at all at GCSE so cautiously hoping it's a sign of some maturing going on.

So far today...I've had NO Chocolate. 💪
I made biscoff cheesecake for the kids and instead of having that I'm having Greek yoghurt with biscoff flavour protein powder and a banana.

Physio has cleared me for a cautious start to return to the gym so hoping to get there tomorrow or sat to see how I get on with a few light weights.

myladyjane · 09/04/2026 20:36

@BreezyPeer Ma Dude! How exciting and isn’t he a lucky bugger to get you!

@MJalltheway well done on no choc - not that there is anything wrong with a bit of choc of course but it’s the habit innit

@jinshope all went ok at work

@Thelittlestranger happy birthday mini spawn

myladyjane · 09/04/2026 20:56

Oh also @MJalltheway have you tried the Greek yoghurt biscoff insta thing when you shove some biscoffs in a pot of yoghurt and leave it for a bit. Kinda works.,,,

HeidiLite · 09/04/2026 21:19

by the way, just curious - what do your kids think of your weight loss?
