New thread!

Back in windy UK this evening. Laundry on, suitcases unpacked and have cleared out my overflowing pyjama drawer.

We have a ticking wardrobe situation. DH is going to buy a whole load of new shirts and trousers now he has a new job (and is 10kg lighter, so far), but there is no space left. I use 85% of our wardrobe space and I think I need to have even more of a clear out.
I have at least 8 dresses that need to go on vinted, 3 dresses to go to charity (thanks @PenelopePitstopPersists for the inspo), and some stuff to go in the clothes recycling bin. I could be ruthless and chuck more out but we may need to figure out how to create more storage space.

DGmaintaining · 05/04/2026 09:32

Did a post holiday weigh-in. I know for a fact I’ve eaten more than I have done in a long time. There has been a lot of desserts on a full stomach - eating past the big sigh and through the discomfort!
I’m on day 3, usually my lowest weight of the cycle. I have put a little bit of weight on, probably a kilo for where I should be at this time of the month but not massively over my top. Anyway, I’ve nudged up my dose from 1.5 to 1.67…20 clicks from a 5mg pen - hardly anything in it but hopefully a psychological crutch. Just Easter pastries to get through then I can be back on the high protein and high veg wagon.

MJalltheway · 05/04/2026 09:41

That's pretty good going @DGmaintaining, don't forget probably retaining water after flying too.
it's the Easter chocolate for me, I got myself the pistachio egg from Waitrose - I really wanted one last year but they were sold out. I'm going to eat it and enjoy it and not worry about it! As you say, back on high protein, high veg next week 💪
happy Easter all!

myladyjane · 05/04/2026 09:49

Happy Easter! I have woken up with the cold that has been brewing for ages - everyone else had it so it was my turn. Big Easter lunch planned but I jabbed yesterday so I can tell I won’t be feeling it. My mother has made an Easter cake though with bunnies and mini eggs and everything so I’ll save room for that.

Polkadotdash · 05/04/2026 12:46

@DGmaintaining do you rotate your clothes for the season? That’s how I max out my wardrobe space. Vac pack away the opposite season. And thin out multiples. So I only have 2 of anything similar e.g. black work trousers.

Braved weigh in this morning and I’ve stayed the same. Better than gaining but still not losing yet. I’m starting to wonder if staying on the jabs for so long allows your body to just adjust and whether I should have a break and then come back. I don’t know anyone that’s been on jabs and not lost weight for over six months. It’s not really how they advertise them is it? 🤣

@Polkadotdash I don’t rotate wardrobe, but I do put winter coats away. I find that I sometimes wear jumpers on a cool summer evening so for some reason I keep all the jumpers in the drawers. But you’re right, I could put some of the heavier work jumpers away. Not that I have anywhere to stash out of season clothes, but perhaps vacuum packing them into the drawers would save space.
I just uploaded a lot of clothes onto Vinted - instantly sold a jumpsuit with some loose stitching - mentioned in the description and with a photo, priced down accordingly. Hope they read it properly!

I’ve been a static weight for 6 months - but that’s on purpose! Do you think you might go up a dose if you still want to lose? I have a friend who is nearly up to 15mg and isn’t losing anywhere near the amount they thought they would be, they think it might be because they’re also figuring out their HRT dose.
I think it was MyLadyJane who went down a dose in order to kick start her metabolism and started losing again.
DH has been gaining for the last 3 weeks, but has also not been eating particularly mindfully - two weeks of residential training (lots of work dinners with new colleagues and bosses) plus a week on holiday probably explains a lot. It might also be time for DH to move up to 7.5mg.

Polkadotdash · 05/04/2026 18:48

@DGmaintaining I still have a stone to lose before getting to just the top end of a BMI of 25. I definitely have more to go. The price is absolutely crushing at 10mg or 15mg though. There’s just no way I could do it. I also went up to 10mg in June last year and felt really sickly and weak. I think the lack of exercise for me (apart from walking) is a factor. And I’ve been eating a LOT of chocolate to cope with stress over the past few weeks. I dunno. I just get so disheartened with it all, particularly when I know others irl who have lost four or five stone over 6 months, no bother. A colleague has just started and is only on 2.5mg and she’s lost 1.5stone in 6 weeks. And here I am, plodding along, with my last loss being the first week of October last year. 3 months of Wegovy did nothing. 3 months of MJ (2.5, 5 and now 7.5) and still nothing. Admittedly I’m only a week into the 7.5mg though so maybe it will kick in.

HeidiLite · 05/04/2026 19:48

I love rotating my wardrobe, I empty every single item out of the wardrobe. Also great to sort out a load for vinted and charity.

OP posts:
Zempy · 05/04/2026 20:07

I love wardrobe rotation too. I still need to get rid of a substantial amount of clothes.

HeidiLite · 05/04/2026 20:22

I have quite a substantial amount of clothes I bought because I was thrilled they made me look so slim, clearly a magical super flattering garment. And then I never wore it because I looked slim in everything else as well. All those things need to go, my wardrobe is bursting and I get overwhelmed.

OP posts:
DGmaintaining · 06/04/2026 10:46

I just bought one last 5mg from Oushk using up my last maintenance discount code. It’s already been approved. It won’t deliver till May when I’ll be two thirds of the way through the pen I’m on now. If I stick to 20 clicks per dose I’ll have enough to last till January. Then I’ll see if I can order from Pharmulous in August to get on their books.

On this lower 1.5/1.67 dose, even though I’m hungrier I’m still currently (just about) maintaining. All the post lunch nausea has gone, that I was still getting at 2mg, and my energy is back to normal levels. But the inflammatory aches are back - hands sometimes feel stiff, my right hip can flare up. I think this is likely because I’m eating more sugar now the appetite suppression has reduced. So I’m going to see if reducing sugar/refined carbs helps. Would rather not go back up to 2mg if staying below means I have the momentum to get up early and exercise.

@Polkadotdash ah yes if you’ve only had one week at 7.5mg then it’s def worth giving it a go for a few more weeks. Will take at least 4 weeks to it to build up to full strength.

@HeidiLite ha, the delight that everything is now ‘flattering’. I kept goal weight purchases to a strict work capsule, so I’m wearing most of my new clothes on a regular basis. However, since reaching goal I’ve gone through a good long phase of tucking everything into my jeans/trousers/skirts - shirts, jumpers, cardigans. Just because I can. And if I can’t see my waist with an outfit I’ll add a belt - over knitwear. I’m now trying to balance it out so that I’m not constantly wearing everything tucked in.

Is anyone else watching Love Story - l’m obsessed with Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s 90s minimalist look. Am now on the lookout for some kickflare trousers for work.

Jins · 06/04/2026 11:34

DH has just staged an intervention to tell me not to lose any more weight 🤣. I’ve shown him my charts to show that I’ve lost 4lbs in 6 months. My body has changed shape sooo much in the last month and I’m finally losing belly fat. I’m ok with it but agree that I need to stay where I am weight wise.

Finished training bikini prototype which is a success. Might have to add more elastic to the waist band. Next urgent wardrobe gap is trousers

Zempy · 06/04/2026 11:53

I am going out for lunch with a friend, and rather than pull on my wide leg jeans and a jumper, I spent ages planning a nice put together outfit.

I buy a lot of clothes that are smart casual but then always wear casual.

I think there is still a part of me that worries that I am “showing off” if I dress up a bit. The friend I am meeting today is absolutely not going to think that.

So, brown riding boots, navy cotton tights, Beige thick cord above knee skirt, white t shirt and navy cashmere jumper. With brown tweed riding jacket . I do look like I am about to jump on a horse, but that’s OK with me. 😆

HeidiLite · 06/04/2026 13:14

sounds very stylishm @Zempy !

Went to gym with DH and have a run planned as well. We have become one of 'those' families. I even evaluate all holiday hotels based on if they have a decent gym..

Hi

Waiting for our delayed flight home from Stockholm. We’ve had a great time but the weather has been pretty grim!! Managed to do an archipelago tour today with no rain for half of it and got out to Hellesgarden for a walk and sauna yesterday which were fab. We liked Stockholm but not somewhere I’d rush back to I don’t think. @zempyI remember you saying you’d been disappointed in Soldermalm, that’s where we stayed and I agree it isn’t a match for Brighton, but it was nice.
I’ve definitely eaten a lot more than normal, and past the sigh too. Thinking of going back up to 7.5 for a bit. I’m also really conscious of my flab, especially on my upper abdomen, it’s really awful, need to figure a plan for that. Hoping flight not delayed too much as already weren’t getting home until 10pm
and I’m in London tomorrow, just found out there’s engineering work on our line so that adds an extra faff!!

HeidiLite · 06/04/2026 18:33

@26inprogress it's totally different in the summer though. I try to avoid any travel to sweden between September and May :D

Thelittlestranger · 06/04/2026 22:39

I have had a weekend of too much everything and shot past my buffer at WI this morning. Ah well, that's Easter I guess! Lovely day at the spa today, and off in the camper again for the night tomorrow with two of my kids. Supposed to be lovely and sunny!

Bravo on dressing up @Zempy. I am currently living in fitness gear it feels like.

I need to get all summer clothes down from the loft. Might do that this week (and then the weather will turn...)

Zempy · 07/04/2026 07:08

I have gained three pounds over Easter. I’m not too unhappy about it. Clothes still fit which is the main consideration at this point.

I am off to Morocco in a few weeks so I do have to try on my summer clothes properly…

Jins · 07/04/2026 07:24

We don’t recognise Easter but DH is a child and gets overexcited about Easter eggs so the Easter bunny still visits. This year I’ve no need to be careful around chocolate and allowed myself to get stuck in. It was a shock to find that I did actually self limit chocolate consumption and although I had plenty it was far less than it would have been previously. A good demonstration of how MJ works I think.

We woke the tortoises yesterday and were pleased to see that the two boys got stuck into some banana straight away. One of the girls nipped into a quiet place to continue her kip and the other is going to need some support to get going but she’s 108/9 so it’s understandable. I wish we could hibernate sometimes. I’d be more than happy to have slept through this winter.

Holiday clothes planning continues. We’re flying back at night and I’ve got it into my head that a jersey jumpsuit will be just the thing. Talk me out of it!

MJalltheway · 07/04/2026 08:00

I love a jumpsuit but I don't think it's very practical for a plane journey @Jins. Think of the acrobatics in the toilet to get it on/off! We spent most of yesterday talking travel plans with DC who was supposed to be travelling to Asia post-exams but the flight costs have spiralled and they are anxious about flying via Middle East (flights seem to change in Abu Dhabi). Not sure we reached a conclusion yet.

I've eaten way too much chocolate over the past couple of days! Also realised I'd left it too long to reorder with Pharmulous and so have had to order a 2.5mg pen which is fine, I still have another 10 and a 7.5 in the fridge and am only dosing 5mg anyway at the moment so have plenty of time to taper down anyway.
My back seems to finally be marginally improving, I have physio again today. Feel like I'm still a way off being able to return to exercise though. We have done exactly the same with looking at hotels for summer @HeidiLite, looked for a really good gym! Hope I will be in a good state to use it by then!

HeidiLite · 07/04/2026 11:08

Ah but you can get jumpsuits that are easy to take off, Halara has their Easy Peasy range. I really want the one from OGL move but it's too pricey, https://oglmove.com/products/travel-friendly-easy-to-take-off-jumpsuit

I want to book our christmas trip as well but same issue @MJalltheway - the more interesting options all go through Middle East and not really sure about that option yet.

I feel a bit heavier for sure, will weigh tomorrow. But did an hour of weights yesterday and 8K run. Today Bodypump in the morning and have Combat later. So if I can stop snacking, should be able to get the weight back where it is supposed to be.

Jins · 07/04/2026 11:23

The one I’m thinking of making is in the pic. It’s either that one or a raglan sleeve one with a button front. I’ll park it for now and see how much time I have.

Easter weight gain is in and it’s 0.2lbs or 90g so I haven’t done too badly

Zempy · 07/04/2026 12:37

I love jumpsuits but wouldn’t wear one on a plane because of the aforementioned toilet cubicle gymnastics.

I can’t really wear them right now as my bottom half is about two sizes smaller than the top half.

HeidiLite · 07/04/2026 13:04

I love the idea of jumpsuits. Every now and then, I see another woman looking so casually elegant but comfortable that I go ooooh I need one.

Inevitably I will look like I am here to service your boiler.

OP posts:
Wtafmakeitstop · 07/04/2026 14:25

I tend to look inelegant in jumpsuits although like to think I just haven’t found the right one. Dungarees far worse - no salvation there.
